Encore Miami Everglades Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" in the vibrant Miami area, looking for a convenient escape close to the wonders of the Everglades? Encore Miami Everglades, located at 20675 SW 162nd Ave, Miami, FL 33187, offers a camping experience for RV enthusiasts and those seeking a base to explore the region. You can reach them at (305) 233-5300 or +1 305-233-5300 for inquiries and reservations.
Nestled in a location that provides access to both the city and the natural beauty of the Everglades, Encore Miami Everglades aims to be a convenient option for local campers. The campground features a gathering area near the office, equipped with gas grills, although recent feedback suggests these are kept locked. This space could potentially serve as a communal area for socializing and outdoor cooking.
For essential facilities, the campground provides bathrooms and shower areas. However, recent guest reviews indicate significant concerns regarding the quantity and condition of these amenities. There are reportedly only two bathrooms serving the pool, hot tub, laundry, and office areas, which are situated behind the office and some distance from the recreational facilities. Furthermore, the three shower facilities have been described as being in poor condition, with multiple showers and toilets reportedly out of order during a recent stay.
Recreational amenities at Encore Miami Everglades include a pool and a hot tub. While the pool was reportedly being repaired recently, with the heater having been fixed, it was noted that it had not yet heated up during one guest's stay. This suggests potential inconsistencies in the availability and functionality of these features. Other advertised amenities include a shuffleboard court, which was observed to be well-maintained, and pickleball courts. However, feedback on the pickleball courts mentions cracked and uneven ground, the absence of a fence, and windy conditions, which could impact the playing experience.
The campground offers RV sites, but it's important to note that these are reportedly not concrete pads and are not level. Therefore, campers should be prepared to bring leveling blocks to ensure their RV is properly situated. Additionally, recent reviews highlight ongoing construction work throughout the park involving the replacement of water and sewer pipes. This has resulted in large cut areas in the streets that are yet to be fully filled, which could affect the overall aesthetics and potentially create some inconvenience.
One recurring concern raised by guests is the proximity of the septic system to the pool, laundry, and office areas, with noticeable odors reported, although one reviewer mentioned it was less severe than in the previous year. Internet access is available through a third-party provider and is offered on a pay-per-week or month basis, which is something to consider for those needing connectivity during their stay.
Customer service experiences appear to be mixed. While one reviewer acknowledged that the staff was courteous and appreciated the ability to receive packages, they also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the establishment does not accept cash payments. This could be a limitation for some local users who prefer or rely on cash transactions.
Several reviewers mentioned a lack of organized activities, particularly during holiday periods, despite an expectation that such events would be scheduled. This might be a point of consideration for campers looking for a more engaging and programmed campground experience.
Beyond the campground itself, some environmental factors mentioned by guests include noise from construction starting early in the morning, even on holidays. Additionally, roosters and chickens from a neighboring farm reportedly wander through the campground and can be quite vocal early in the morning. There were also reports of stray dogs from the neighborhood, with one described as potentially aggressive towards smaller dogs, which could be a concern for pet owners.
Based on recent feedback, it appears that Encore Miami Everglades is currently undergoing significant infrastructure work, which may impact the guest experience. While the location offers proximity to Miami and the Everglades, potential visitors should be aware of the reported issues concerning the condition and availability of amenities, the ongoing construction, and some of the environmental factors mentioned by previous guests. It is advisable to contact the campground directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about the current status of construction, amenity availability, and any specific concerns you may have before making a reservation. Reading all the rules and regulations, particularly regarding late checkout charges, is also recommended.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Encore Miami Everglades presents a location with potential, but it's crucial to weigh the reported drawbacks against the convenience of its location. Keep in mind that online reviews often provide a snapshot in time, and conditions can change. Direct communication with the campground is the best way to obtain the most up-to-date information for your camping plans in the Miami Everglades area.

Encore Miami Everglades Reviews
The Encore Miami Everglades RV park could be very nice. They have a nice gathering area by the office with gas grilles that are always locked. My issues are as follows:1- Only two bathrooms for the pool, hot tub, laundry, and office. located behind the office and a long distance away from the pool, hot tub and activities.2 - The three bathrooms and shower facilities are near the worst we have experienced. Of the 4 showers 3 were out of order, the same for toilets.3 - During our stay last year the pool heater was broken. This year it was just fixed but the pool has not heated up yet.4 - There are no concrete pads to park on and the spots are not level, so be sure to bring leveling blocks.5 - Currently, the entire park is being dug up so all the water and sewer pipes can be replaced. The streets have large cut areas needing filled where new pipes have been installed but are not in use yet.6 - I’m not sure who decided putting the septic system next to the pool, laundry, and office was a good idea. The smell is noticeable but not nearly as bad as last year.7 - If you want internet it’s a third party pay by week or month.8 - Read all the rules and regulations and charges for late checkout.9 - This will be our last stay here.
Mar 09, 2025 · Robert HeltStaff was courteous. Appreciated being able to receive packages. With that being said it’s completely ridiculous that an establishment does not accept cash as a form of payment. Amenities lacked, what was advertised is not what was received. Booked during a holiday with the belief that there would be activities scheduled and planned. There was absolutely nothing. The pool was nice and my kids enjoyed that. The shuffleboard looked well maintained but o don’t play. The pickleball court pictures looked nice but upon playing there ground is cracked and uneven, there is no fence and it’s very windy which made playing difficult. Also knew there was some construction happening and we dealt with the noise and dust, but having banging and beeping at 6:30 in the morning on Thanksgiving was ridiculous. Lastly annoying that there are roosters and chickens coming from a neighborhood farm that wander through the campground and like to crow as early as 4:30 in the morning. Not to mention 2 stray dogs also from the neighborhood, one of which was a larger dog and I was told is aggressive to smaller dogs while walking mine to be careful. Would not recommend coming back. Not worth it.
Nov 30, 2024 · Denise RobinsonGreat stay! Everything was very clean and well kept. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed Christmas week and enjoyed their holiday get together. The site was spacious with great walking trails, large pool, and a clean dog park. I’ll definitely be returning.
Jan 03, 2025 · Samantha BowieNice pool area and fair price.Too many cats roaming around... 24/7. Cats don't even dig in the dirt - they do their business right outside your rv on top of the grass! They will sit on your picnic table and even the hood of your truck. If you need a cat fix, be sure to visit. We tried calling the front office and the after hours number - no answer at either... multiple attempts throughout our visit. Voice-mail was full...The place has potential. Some water line repairs, a few facilities repairs, and also either rewrite or enforce the park rules ~ could be a nice place to spend the winter months.
Mar 08, 2025 · Michael ShafferWe stayed here for a week and it was great. We loved the area of Homestead, the clean amenities and grounds and the peaceful atmosphere. The roads and sites: very narrow roads and small sites. You’d be close to your Neighbours and have a small patio/yard space. The pool, playground and activities/games area are beautiful, spacious and kept very clean and we enjoyed them daily. Our family loved the paved path that goes all around the property (about a mile). It’s great for walking your dog or exercising and it’s beautifully green, lush and peaceful.Majority of respondents were 55+ and very kind, welcoming and overall a happy vibe. This campground is surrounded by farms, nurseries and near by you’d find most anything else you need like gas, groceries etc. We even found a great dentist nearby for our kids.Everglades National Park entrance just 30mins away!!A lot of Cuban and Mexican food all around! The drive to Miami is about one and a half hours. There is A LOT OF TRAFFIC in Homestead. It would take us 20-30minutes to get to the grocery store that’s just 3 miles away. Very congested. That was the most frustrating part about staying here.Another thing we didn’t enjoy was that there was construction at the campground. Our road was being repaved but the campground didn’t send any notification to move our vehicles while new asphalt was being poured in. We were at home so we ran out to move our truck last minute- we wish they would’ve let us know so we can prepare.Overall this is a great campground in an exciting and lively area and we would come back again.
