Our fourth year snow birding here, December - April. This is a place where you meet friends forever. Despite poor reviews from folks that are expecting silver platter service, this place is a gem. The wash rooms need upgraded but in four years, I never used one. It's an RV park, not a hotel. You bring your own accommodations. Nice pool, heated. Peacocks roaming the grounds. The sound of friendly banter at the shuffleboard courts or cards/dominos at the rec center. Tiki Bar like a hometown club. Kristina keeps it fun. Holiday celebrations, pot luck dinners, karaoke, live bands, bingo, trivia nights, live bands, local talent you wouldn't believe. Almost daily individual groups bike ride, golf, shop, tea party (mimosa), craft classes, bonfires or just happy hour like it's 5 o'clock somewhere. This is a great base camp for exploring the Keys, Everglades or Miami and surrounding areas. Yes there are bad ratings for the surrounding areas, Florida City and Homestead and some of the crime does infiltrate into the resort. We personally lost $3500 in E-bikes. Upgrade the locks and cover them. The area is quickly being gentrified with condos popping up everywhere. Weekly and monthly rates are much cheaper than nightly, sit down and stay a while. You won't find a better place for a better price. - William Gill
