One of the recurring themes in the reviews is the positive experience with the people at Epsom Valley Campground. One camper simply stated, "Great people and great views can't wait to be back next year," indicating a pleasant interaction with the staff and appreciation for the scenery. This suggests a friendly and hospitable atmosphere, which can significantly enhance a camping trip.
A more detailed update from a seasonal camper in 2024 further reinforces this positive impression. They specifically mentioned Peter and Cheryl, the owners, as "the best." This personal endorsement speaks volumes about the management's approachability and dedication. The review also highlighted new weekend activities aimed at fostering a sense of community among campers, encouraging interaction and fun beyond individual campsites. This initiative suggests an effort to create a more engaging and social camping environment.
The same updated review also noted ongoing improvements to the campground facilities. They mentioned recently redone bathroom houses and efforts to enhance the Wi-Fi service. These updates indicate a commitment to maintaining and upgrading the amenities, which can contribute to a more comfortable and convenient stay for campers. The reviewer also reiterated that the owners are "friendly and easy to talk to" and that the overall atmosphere among campers is "nice and pleasant." This paints a picture of a well-managed and community-oriented campground.
Another review, written around the time of new ownership, expressed hope that the campground would maintain the "same feel and fun" that was developing in the previous season. This suggests a positive trajectory and a desire to continue providing a good camping experience under the new management.
One reviewer who enjoyed a last-minute, one-night stay in a tent offered valuable insights for tent campers. They camped in an area "perched above the river" and found it surprisingly comfortable, even though the campground seemed to cater more to RVs. This indicates that tent campers can also find suitable and enjoyable spots. A significant bonus for this tenter was having power and water at their site, which is not always a given for tent camping and adds a level of convenience often found in RV sites. The reviewer also praised the well-maintained bathrooms.
A unique feature mentioned in this review was the trivia hosted in the pavilion, which the camper and their son participated in and found "very fun and different for camping!" This highlights the campground's effort to offer activities beyond the typical camping experience, providing opportunities for entertainment and social interaction. The reviewer concluded by noting that "the family who owns it clearly loves it," which often translates to a more caring and invested approach to running the campground.
Based on these reviews, Epsom Valley Campground appears to offer a welcoming and community-focused environment with friendly and proactive owners. The campground is making ongoing improvements to its facilities, including the bathrooms and Wi-Fi. While it accommodates RVs, tent campers can also find comfortable sites, some with unexpected amenities like power and water. The presence of activities like weekend social events and trivia adds to the appeal, offering more than just a place to stay.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Epsom Valley Campground seems to be a strong contender. The positive feedback regarding the people, the ongoing improvements, and the availability of amenities for both RV and tent campers make it an attractive option. The scenic views mentioned by one reviewer also hint at a pleasant natural setting, although more specific details about the environment (beyond being near a river and nestled in trees) are not extensively covered in these reviews.
While specific promotional information isn't provided in the reviews, the mention of new weekend activities could be seen as an ongoing effort to enhance the guest experience. To learn about any current specials or seasonal offers, it would be best to contact the campground directly.
In conclusion, if you're in the "camping near me" category and value friendly service, well-maintained facilities, and a sense of community, Epsom Valley Campground in Epsom, NH, is worth considering. Epsom Valley Campground Reviews
Great people and great views can't wait to be back next year.Updated 2024 we became seasonal campers here this year. Peter and Cheryl are the best. They have started new activities during the weekends to mix and mingle. So everyone gets out of the sites and has some fun. They keep updating things here. Just redid the bathroom houses and are working on better wifi. They are friendly and easy to talk to and everyone is always nice and pleasant. Come check them out.Not much to update as of yet. This will be a new year and new era to the campground. It was sold in the off-season and under new ownership. And hope to keep it the same feel and fun that was starting last season. Will keep you all updated.
Apr 30, 2025 · maurice duncanWe had a lovely, last minute, one night stay here. We camped in a tent perched above the river. While this campground really seemed to cater to RVs, we were surprisingly comfortable. The camping area is nestled in the trees, with plenty of space between neighbors. Bathrooms were very well cared for. Having power and water at the site was a serious bonus (especially for a tenter). We usually stay at State parks, this was such a lovely treat. My son and I joined the trivia they hosted in the pavilion. Very fun and different for camping! The family who owns it clearly loves it.
Sep 24, 2024 · Gee RoseWe had an awesome experience at Epsom Valley. All the staff were very friendly. The buildings were very well taken care of. The site was well maintained and had plenty of room. Very quiet and peaceful area. The campground was 100% pet friendly, my dogs loved the river. The free mini golf was a plus. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. Will definitely be returning next year.
Jul 06, 2024 · Tristen GaulinWas just fortunate enough to spend our first night ever in a camper in a campground. My wife and I just got married and bought our first camper and after reading the reviews about the location and service we chose Epsom Valley. The owners were incredibly kind and cool, all of the seasonal campers were so nice and, approachable. The Wi-Fi was outstanding, we ended up staying additional time and were able to stream Redzone on our smart TV. We will definitely be back lol. A lot of sites have their music playing after dark, but none were too loud. Our dogs got to meet some other dogs, which for them can be a big deal. All the Dog owners were awesome. Very pleased.
Sep 29, 2024 · Austin RobertI really enjoyed camping there this past weekend. The staff was courteous and friendly, even helpful! My site was well cared for, the bathrooms clean, etc. I would definitely camp there again. There's lots of stores and restaurants available quite close by. There's not a lot of amenities there, but that's not important to me.
