Kingman KOA Journey Introduce
Looking for a familiar "camping near me" experience in Kingman, Arizona? Kingman KOA Journey, located at 3820 N Roosevelt St, Kingman, AZ 86409, USA, offers a recognized brand for travelers seeking RV sites and cabin rentals. You can reach them at (800) 562-3991 or +1 800-562-3991 for reservations and inquiries. As part of the KOA network, it aims to provide a convenient stop for those exploring the area or passing through on a road trip.
Location and Environment: Kingman KOA Journey is situated in Kingman, Arizona, a city along historic Route 66 and a gateway to various attractions in the region. The environment is typical of the high desert, with warm days and cooler nights. Its location makes it a potentially convenient stop for those traveling between destinations like the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and the Hoover Dam, although it is not directly adjacent to these sites. The campground likely offers views of the surrounding desert landscape and the amenities expected of a KOA facility.
Services and Amenities: As a KOA Journey campground, Kingman KOA typically offers a range of services and amenities aimed at both RVers and those opting for cabin stays. These often include RV sites with hookups (water, electricity, and sewer), restroom and shower facilities, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi access. However, recent customer reviews provide mixed feedback on the quality and availability of some of these services. One review highlighted an issue with the laundromat being closed early at 6 PM, which was deemed "baffling" and "unacceptable" for an RV resort. Another review mentioned weak Wi-Fi with constant dropouts, making it unreliable for streaming, work, or even checking emails. These points suggest that while certain amenities are advertised, their availability or functionality might not always meet expectations.
For those opting for cabin rentals, one reviewer shared their experience of staying in a cabin and noted that bedding and towels were not provided, implying a more rustic "camping spot in a cabin" experience where guests need to bring their own linens. The check-in process for late arrivals was described as straightforward, with the key and directions provided in an envelope. A code for the restroom was also given. However, the lack of provided towels was an inconvenience for the late-arriving guest who wished to shower.
Features and Accessibility: Kingman KOA Journey likely offers a variety of RV site sizes to accommodate different types of recreational vehicles. Cabins may vary in size and amenities, potentially ranging from basic sleeping cabins to more equipped options. The campground is likely accessible from major roads, making it a convenient stop for travelers. However, the negative review regarding unhelpful management is a significant point to consider. The reviewer expressed frustration with the dismissive attitude of the management regarding the laundromat issue and a general lack of interest in helping guests after staff hours. This raises concerns about the level of customer care provided.
Considerations for Local Users: For local users searching for "camping near me" at Kingman KOA Journey, it's essential to be aware of the recent feedback from other guests. If you are an RVer relying on laundry facilities, the early closing time could be a significant inconvenience. Similarly, if reliable internet access is crucial for your stay, the reported weak Wi-Fi signal might be a drawback. For those considering cabin rentals, be sure to confirm whether bedding and towels are provided to avoid unexpected inconveniences. The negative comments about management responsiveness should also be taken into account when making your decision, especially if you anticipate needing assistance during your stay.
Goods and Services in the Kingman Area: Kingman itself offers a range of goods and services for travelers and campers. Within a short drive from Kingman KOA Journey, local users can find grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and RV supply stores. Kingman is also home to various attractions, including museums related to Route 66 and the area's mining history. The "camping near me" platform might provide listings for these local businesses, making it easier for guests at Kingman KOA Journey to find आवश्यक supplies or explore dining options outside the campground.
Potential Promotional Information: KOA campgrounds often have their own rewards programs and may offer various promotions throughout the year. Local users searching for "camping near me" at Kingman KOA Journey should check the official KOA website or contact the campground directly to inquire about any current special offers, discounts for KOA members, or seasonal promotions. These might include discounted rates for longer stays, special packages during local events, or savings for military personnel or seniors. It's always advisable to ask about any potential deals when making your reservation to ensure you receive the best possible rate.
In conclusion, Kingman KOA Journey offers a recognizable option for "camping near me" in Kingman, Arizona, with RV sites and cabin rentals available. While it aims to provide convenient amenities for travelers, recent reviews highlight potential limitations regarding laundry service hours, Wi-Fi reliability, and management responsiveness. Cabin renters should also be aware that bedding and towels might not be provided. Local users considering this campground should weigh the convenience of the KOA brand and location against the reported issues and inquire about the current status of amenities and any available promotions before making a booking.

Kingman KOA Journey Reviews
I got a cabin for one night as a late booking. What I didn't realise was that you needed your own bedding. I arrived late to find my key in an envelope at the check-in booth and directions on a map to where to go. Code for wifi, which worked fine, Cabin was open and key inside with code to restroom. Of course, I didn't have a towel either, so couldn't shower. Bed and cabin were fine after rugging up and making the best of a situation I put myself in. It's a camping g spot in a cabin so if you know camping you'll like it.
Apr 27, 2025 · Darryl MearsTitle: Avoid KOA Kingman – Unhelpful Management, Limited AmenitiesI stayed overnight at KOA Kingman, AZ hoping for a convenient stop on my road trip—but what should have been a relaxing break turned into a frustrating experience.Laundromat Closed at 6 PMArriving late afternoon with a full load of laundry, I was dismayed to find the on‑site laundromat locked up by 6 PM. When I called to ask for a later closing time, the manager brusquely replied that staff “go home at 6” and therefore can’t oversee machines after that. It’s baffling—and, frankly, unacceptable—for an RV resort to shut down such a key service so early.Unresponsive ManagementBeyond the laundromat issue, the attitude from management was dismissive. Rather than offering any solution (a voucher, referral to a nearby laundromat, or at least an apology), they made it clear they weren’t interested in helping guests once staff clocked out.Weak Wi‑FiTo add insult to injury, the advertised Wi‑Fi barely held a signal. I couldn’t stream, work, or even check simple emails without constant dropouts.Bottom LineKOA Kingman failed to deliver on basic amenities and customer care. If you value flexible hours for laundry and reliable internet—and if you expect staff who actually want to help—look elsewhere. Your money (and peace of mind) will be far better spent at another RV park.
Apr 22, 2025 · Mission HeightsGreat staff, weird location, and privacy.I ended up here because of bad weather. Who knew it snowed in Kingman.Every person I met working was nice and helpful. Checking in took a minute because the lady was alone and the phone was a bother, but they have a fully stocked store to entice you while you wait.Sites, while small, were a tad more private than many KOAs (who invented these buddy sites? )Dog Park was confusing. I walked around 10 minutes to figure out how to enter the dang thing.Dump station was clogged, so I used a campsite's dump. They started working a remedy immediately when notified - I found that impressive and deserving is 5 stars itself. The weather was terrible while there, so the place looked a little sad, BUT it's a rarity and I bet it's a beautiful fun stay when the sun is out and it's not wet (or snowing). They even have mini golf.
Mar 16, 2025 · Jonathan MooreClean, well-maintained, good staff and customer service sense. The location is "too" good: looking for quiet and to tent-camp in Kingman? Might as well ask for dry rain. Kingman's a big area and the K O A is between Route 66 and Walmart, and near train tracks
Mar 21, 2025 · D. C. R.Very clean & well maintained park. Most RV sites have plants in between for privacy & wind block. Each space is wide & easy access. Road leading to space is wide as well. Staffs are friendly. Near shops & restaurants. I would have given a 5 if their paw pen is a little larger & RV site paved. It was a little windy when we arrived & sand was being swirled around. But we like it & would return.
