Lava Mobile Estates Campground Introduce
For local users searching within the "camping near me" category, Lava Mobile Estates Campground, located at 10255 E Old Oregon Trail Rd in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, offers a promising camping and RV experience. You can reach them at (208) 776-5122 or via mobile at +1 208-776-5122 for inquiries and reservations. Based on the available customer reviews, this campground boasts a great location, riverside RV sites, and a range of amenities, making it an attractive option for various types of campers.
The environment of Lava Mobile Estates Campground is a significant highlight. Situated on the riverside, the campground offers picturesque views and the soothing sounds of flowing water. One reviewer specifically mentioned the "$48 a night RV site on the riverside," indicating a premium camping experience with a desirable waterfront setting. The presence of "grass sites for clean camping/RV" further enhances the environment, providing a more comfortable and less dusty experience compared to gravel or dirt sites. The availability of "large sites" is also a notable environmental feature, suggesting ample space for RVs of various sizes and the possibility of pitching tents alongside them.
In terms of services and features, Lava Mobile Estates Campground appears well-equipped to cater to the needs of campers. Electric hookups are available at the riverside RV sites, providing power for appliances and devices. A significant positive aspect mentioned by a reviewer is the provision of "free showers and Bathrooms CLEAN," which is a highly valued amenity for campers who appreciate cleanliness and convenience. The inclusion of "Basketball, Volleyball courts" indicates that the campground offers recreational facilities for guests of all ages to enjoy physical activities and socialize.
Lava Mobile Estates Campground is described as "Family and dog friendly," making it an inclusive destination for a wide range of travelers. Families will appreciate the recreational courts and the generally welcoming atmosphere, while dog owners can enjoy camping with their furry companions. This inclusivity can be a major draw for local users seeking a campground where all members of their family, including pets, are welcome.
A significant locational advantage of Lava Mobile Estates Campground is its proximity to various attractions and conveniences in Lava Hot Springs. The campground is located "Near downtown, hotsprings, restaurants, water park, and float companies." This prime location allows campers easy access to the renowned Lava Hot Springs, dining options, the local water park for family fun, and companies offering float trips on the nearby river. This convenience reduces travel time and allows campers to fully enjoy the amenities and activities that Lava Hot Springs has to offer.
However, the reviews also point out a notable limitation regarding the riverside RV sites: "No sewer or water hookups down by the river...you have to fill up your tank with fresh water. These are not FULL HOOKUPS." This means that while the riverside sites offer electric hookups, RVers staying in these premium spots will need to manage their freshwater supply and utilize the campground's dump station for waste disposal. This is an important consideration for RVers who prefer full hookups for maximum convenience.
Another potential environmental factor mentioned in the reviews is the presence of a train: "Train goes by all night long..." While this might be a concern for light sleepers, the reviewer offers practical solutions such as running a fan for white noise or simply getting used to the sounds. This is an objective observation about the environment that potential guests should be aware of, especially if they are sensitive to noise.
One additional positive review mentions "good electric and nice water pressure," suggesting that even though the riverside sites lack direct water hookups, the process of filling tanks is facilitated by good water pressure. The reviewer also found the pricing to be "fair" and expressed a definite intention to stay again, indicating overall satisfaction with their experience.
For local users searching for "camping near me," Lava Mobile Estates Campground offers a compelling combination of a scenic riverside setting, essential amenities like electric hookups and clean restrooms/showers, recreational facilities, and a convenient location near the attractions of Lava Hot Springs. The family and dog-friendly policy further broadens its appeal.
Potential campers should be aware of the lack of sewer and direct water hookups at the riverside RV sites, which might be a deciding factor for some RVers. The presence of train noise is another environmental consideration that might affect the camping experience for some individuals. However, the positive aspects, such as the grass sites, large spaces, and proximity to local amenities, appear to outweigh these negatives for many visitors.
Promotional information is not explicitly stated in the reviews. However, the positive descriptions of the riverside sites, clean facilities, recreational options, and convenient location serve as implicit promotional points. The fair pricing mentioned by one reviewer also adds to the campground's appeal.

Aug 06, 2023 · Jason OwenCabins are nice. But the trailer park is needing some love asap, half of it looks abandoned... No seating outside. Wouldn't recommend unless it's just for the night. Just drive another hour to Idaho falls...
Aug 14, 2023 · Marc FletcherWe love it here! Barbara and her husband are amazing people! They bring you ice, wood it's so convenient! The area is well maintenance. We go several times a year!
Jul 05, 2022 · Gina MondragonBusy street on one side, trains blaring their horns all night on the other side. This is no fault of the property, but does not allow for much peace/sleep.+ hookups work great.+ 10 min walk to the town center- bathrooms get dirty and aren’t cleaned frequently.- no WiFi.- NOISE!
