Linn Valley Lakes Reviews
We lived in Linn Valley for three years. When we first moved there, we were really impressed with some of the amenities. Unfortunately, we saw the quality of the amenities go down. We saw the property owners association fees go up every year. We saw the sewer and water prices go up substantially. We saw the quality of the streets go down, and it seemed that some of the nice elements of a small, quaint town that we were initially impressed with were greatly diminished. There are some really nice folks there, but there’s also a very angry spirit among many people on Facebook. I don’t think that I would ever move back there. I believe that the homes are over priced and the property value is definitely inflated. The lake is really smaller than you would think. You can’t put a boat out on it but during the holidays it’s so crowded. You really don’t get to do much and the golf course is poorly maintained and managed. The restaurant is also over priced and poorly maintained; the wait staff is terrible. The fishing is not good and many people have pulled out some very questionable fish that had some very odd sicknesses. I would be really cautious about considering buying property there because I don’t think that the property value will increase. In short, after living there for three years, I found there to be a few really nice and gracious people who live there. They were the highlight of my time living there. My family made some good friends. However, the property owners association is a mess. The town is falling apart when it comes to the infrastructure. I would also question the management of the funds that the property owners association gets. Be careful if you are considering a move to the town and be extremely careful if you are considering buying property for a weekend home or vacation home.
Apr 04, 2025 · D BebberStayed here in our RV. We had no help checking in and no one answered the phone on a weekend. The place looks like a trailer park and half the sites aren't usable. The worst part is we had our stuff stolen one night. Dogs run around with no leash. And the gate that's supposed to keep this place safe doesn't look like it's worked for years
Oct 06, 2024 · Ashley CoolNobody was around to check us in. Many dogs not kept on leashes. A yard ornament got stolen while we were here, but the staff was helpful in finding it and mailing it back to us.
Oct 11, 2024 · Spenser GarberGood pricing. Large pull thtough sites. Not much assistance with registration, or getting information. Especially in early or late hours. No help on Holidays or Weekends. Membership required, or guests of property owners.
Feb 29, 2024 · Edward RinehartGrew up coming here with my grandparents used to loved this place gated clean and secure. I was so excited to buy a lot a few years back so my kids could have the same experiences I had. Unfortunately it isn't the same. The gate is worthless people run in and out no more guard. There are to many abandon and overgrown properties. They rezone a section and my taxes went up from $57 a year to $700 roughly I think slightly more. I also had auto pay set up for years and then I get hit with collections. I had to let it go. Not sure why I paid dues and taxes anyhow when you can roam in and out freely.
