Lookout Campground, nestled in Blue River, OR 97413, USA, with contact numbers (877) 444-6777 and +1 877-444-6777, appears to be a highly recommended destination based on recent online customer reviews. For local users seeking a beautiful and potentially remote camping experience, let's explore the environment, services, and features that Lookout Campground has to offer.
One of the first pieces of information comes from a reviewer noting that "Water levels are extremely high right now!" While this might be a temporary condition, it highlights the campground's proximity to a significant body of water, likely a river, given the location in Blue River. High water levels can influence the accessibility of certain areas, such as boat launches or riverbanks, and might also impact activities like swimming or fishing. However, the reviewer still describes the location as a "Beautiful place," indicating that the scenic appeal of the area remains strong even with high water conditions. The mention of "Camping, day use, and boat launch" clearly outlines the primary services offered at Lookout Campground, catering to both overnight stays and shorter visits for recreational activities.
Another reviewer provides more detailed insights into their week-long stay, offering glowing praise for several aspects of Lookout Campground. They specifically commend "Richard the camp host" as "absolutely amazing and very helpful." A friendly and helpful camp host can significantly enhance the camping experience by providing assistance, information, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay for all visitors. This positive feedback suggests that the management at Lookout Campground prioritizes guest satisfaction.
The reviewer also echoes the sentiment about the campground's beauty, describing it as "very beautiful and remote." The term "remote" suggests a location that offers a sense of peace and seclusion, away from the hustle and bustle of more developed areas. This can be a major draw for those seeking a tranquil escape into nature when looking for "camping near me." The combination of beauty and remoteness implies opportunities for enjoying the natural surroundings in a serene setting.
A significant highlight for this reviewer was the river, which they found to be "warm and perfect to take a dip in or swim." This indicates that Lookout Campground is situated along a river that is suitable and enjoyable for water-based activities. The warmth of the water adds to its appeal for swimming, especially during warmer months. Access to a swimmable river is a valuable feature for many campers.
The reviewer's intention to return, stating "We will be back next year," is a strong endorsement of their positive experience. Furthermore, they mention the affordability of their stay, noting that "the price for one week was only $98.00 which is very reasonable." This exceptionally low weekly rate makes Lookout Campground a highly attractive option for budget-conscious campers seeking an extended stay in a beautiful location. This price point could be a significant promotional aspect for local users looking for affordable "camping near me" options.
The reviewer concludes with "Thank you for a fabulous weeks stay💖," further emphasizing their satisfaction with their time at Lookout Campground.

Sep 24, 2018 · Kayla Stahr WagonerI loved this campground! About half of the sites were right off the water, while the other half were set back and didn't have a lick of shade, so the tents got very hot!! I can't wait to get back here soon. Vault toilets. Potable water. Nice host. Watch out for scorpions.
