Limberlost Campground Introduce
For those in the Blue River, Oregon area searching for "camping near me," Limberlost Campground, located in Blue River, OR 97413, USA, offers a promising option for a tranquil outdoor experience. Based on the available customer reviews, this campground is characterized by its beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and well-maintained facilities.
One reviewer described Limberlost Campground as "beautiful" and highlighted its quiet and peaceful ambiance, noting that it was about half full during their visit. This suggests that even when moderately occupied, the campground retains a sense of serenity, making it an attractive destination for those seeking a relaxing escape in nature. The fact that it wasn't at full capacity during the reviewer's stay likely contributed to the quiet atmosphere, but the comment implies an inherent peacefulness to the location itself.
Another camper provided insights into the layout of the campsites, mentioning that "some sites are closer to each other than others." However, they generally felt private, suggesting that the design or natural vegetation between sites offers a degree of seclusion. The reviewer did caution that this sense of privacy might diminish if the campground were fully occupied, indicating that the experience could vary depending on the number of other campers present.
Regarding the facilities, the same reviewer specifically commented on the "pit toilets," noting that they were "clean, well maintained, and smelled about as good as one could expect." This is positive feedback, as pit toilets in campgrounds can sometimes be a point of concern for campers. The fact that these were well-maintained suggests a commitment to cleanliness by the campground management.
One individual who did not actually camp at Limberlost Campground still provided a review based on their visit to the area. While their primary purpose was unrelated to camping (searching for a lost pet), their intention to try the campground if they were still a camper suggests a positive initial impression of the site. Their preference for "more solitude" indicates that while Limberlost might offer a degree of privacy, it might not be ideal for those seeking complete isolation in the wilderness. The reviewer also mentioned a personal reason for no longer camping, which, while poignant, doesn't directly reflect on the campground itself but does add a human element to the feedback.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Limberlost Campground can be characterized as beautiful and generally peaceful. The campsites offer a degree of privacy, although this might be reduced when the campground is at full capacity. The facilities include pit toilets that are reported to be clean and well-maintained.

Limberlost Campground Reviews
Beautiful campground -- was very quiet and peaceful, with about half the sites filled. Some sites are closer to each other than others; they generally feel private, however this would not be the case if the campground were full.Pit toilets were clean, well maintained, and smelled about as good as one could expect.
Jun 23, 2021 · Grady NicholsI cannot honestly rate this campground, as I did not camp. I came to search for a dachshund lost in May 2021, never found it. It wasn't mine, I have a FB group for lost dachshunds and was trying to help. If anyone found one, the owner would just like to know it is loved and safe. Anyway, if I were still a camper, I would give this site a try, but normally prefer more solitude. My camping partner of 39 years passed away in May 2021, so no more camping.
May 18, 2023 · Shari StoddardSmall campground, 12 sites. Very quiet during a high summer season. Sites 1 and 12 are the best. No water available and no real river access. We were on a road trip and wanted quiet and found it.
Jul 31, 2023 · Joan NeslundStayed hers during the summer. It is a nice and quiet little campground. The camp host was amazing. My truck died as we were leaving. The host helped me diagnose the problem and then towed me to the ranger station where I could get some help.
Nov 26, 2022 · Richard RenoReally nice campground! Vault toilet that smells like a toilet. I was hoping to play in the creek, but it is super swift. It is close to proxy falls which cooled us off (cold snow melt). It sure is beautiful and with all of the trees, we had shade all day!
