Sep 11, 2024 · TJ WLost Falls is an incredible family camp site. Conveniently located between Milwaukee and Minneapolis, it is clean, safe, family friendly, and has lots of activity options. The camp sites by the beach tend to be more party forward, but still quiet at night, while the back sites are more secluded and quiet. We go at least once a year, float the river, and play by the beach. There are always water critters to hunt.Aaron and the family do a really nice job. Strongly recommend!
Aug 19, 2024 · Mike MulliganStayed in the #6 cabin Squirrel Run. It was just the right size for our trip and included many accommodations. It was gorgeous inside and helped keep us dry for our rainy trip. Love coming up here anytime and will continue to for many years to come. Didn't get many photos as I was too busy enjoying the wonderful weekend.
Jul 08, 2024 · Robin LugoI took my family(2 adults, 5 children) tubing. Found out at the very last min upon drop off that they had run out of rope to tie our tubes together. So I'm spending the entire time directing kids to hold onto each other and not float away from the group. Two kids ended up getting hung up on a branch in an area that we were supposed to avoid: a left fork in the river. We were never told how strong the current was to the left, just "stay right at the fork". It was a full on rescue mission to get those kids back and the tubes went to the left down the forbidden left side of the fork. The owner went out with a canoe(apparently a guy that makes 3k in one afternoon on tubers alone can't afford a boat for rescue purposes?) and chose not to recover the tubes. I swam across the river and walked down the bank and pulled the tubes from the river. I couldn't get them up the embankment and had to take the keys and phone only. They tried to charge us for the tubes even though the owner could have grabbed them when he was there. Avoid this place. They don't care if you and your kids almost drown. They will just try and charge you $100 per tube you "lose". I wouldn't doubt if they went back and got those tubes later.
Aug 04, 2024 · annie jensenDog friendly, 2 sections of it. Upper for RV's, some tents, and cabins, the lower is for tents or hammocks. We stayed in the lower area and camped with kids and dogs. You do have to walk back up to the top to shower, go to the butterfly area, volleyball, horseshoes, gaga ball or the playground(you can just drive up). The customer service and kindness of the staff was great while we were there. Aaron was a great host, allowed us to move our tents and stuff due to high water levels and flooding, but it was great. Definitely a fun experience, quiet campground, beautiful beach(and the fact it's all sand, so rocks don't stab your feet even in the water)
