Maple Haven Resort Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" that offers both natural beauty and convenient access to local attractions? Consider Maple Haven Resort, located at Maple Haven Campground, 109 Lost River Rd, North Woodstock, NH 03262. Reviews from satisfied campers highlight its prime location near Franconia Notch, walkable distance to dining, a swimming river, and excellent amenities, making it a compelling choice for local users seeking a memorable getaway.
One of the key advantages of Maple Haven Resort, as noted by a frequent camper, is its strategic location for those looking to explore Franconia Notch. It serves as a convenient base for hiking in the area. Furthermore, the campground is within a "short walk to the restaurants in north Woodstock," offering a blend of natural retreat and easy access to local dining options. For local users searching for "camping near me" that combines outdoor adventure with the convenience of nearby town amenities, Maple Haven Resort seems ideally situated.
The natural environment of Maple Haven Resort itself is also appealing. One reviewer mentioned that "there is a river to swim in," providing a refreshing way to cool off and enjoy the outdoors right at the campground. Additionally, another camper specifically appreciated the "Camping spots are wonderful, especially the ones close to the stream," suggesting that the presence of water enhances the ambiance and appeal of certain campsites. If "camping near me" with opportunities for swimming or enjoying the sounds of a stream is something you value, Maple Haven Resort has these natural features to offer.
Beyond the natural surroundings, Maple Haven Resort boasts some delightful on-site features. A standout mentioned by multiple reviewers is the "ice cream stand they have!" One camper exclaimed, "After hiking, nothing better than a good bowl of ice cream!" This amenity adds a touch of fun and indulgence to the camping experience, particularly appreciated after a day of outdoor activities. Local users with a sweet tooth looking for "camping near me" will find this a unique perk.
For added convenience, the campground also has "a small breakfast restaurant on-site." This is a significant benefit for those who prefer not to cook breakfast at their campsite, offering a convenient way to start the day before heading out to explore the local area. If having access to on-site food options is important for your "camping near me" experience, Maple Haven Resort provides this convenience.
While one reviewer mentioned seeing cabins at the resort but not staying in them, another camper did stay in a cabin and found it "quite lovely." They did note that the "Mattresses are simple covered foam, not comfortable, but expected," and they brought air mattress covers to improve comfort. This suggests that cabin rentals are available for local users who prefer a more structured accommodation than tent camping. Despite the mattress comfort, the overall cabin experience was positive enough for a "stellar review." If you're looking for "camping near me" with cabin options, Maple Haven Resort offers this alternative.
The cleanliness and quality of the facilities at Maple Haven Resort receive high praise. One reviewer stated, "Honestly, the best bathrooms a campground could have. So clean and well lit. Maple Haven Resort Reviews
This is one of the places that I camp when I got hiking in Franconia Notch. It's a short walk to the restaurants in north Woodstock. The sites are semi private and there is a river to swim in. The camp store is stocked well but the best part is the ice cream stand they have! After hiking, nothing better than a good bowl of ice cream! There is a small breakfast restaurant on-site as well. I do know they have cabins but I have never stayed in them.

Sep 30, 2024 · Nicole WeldonWe needed a place to camp last-minute and happened to drive by this place and give them a call. I'm glad we did. The staff was very friendly and informative. The campground is very well-kept and offers beautiful views of the mountains as well as Moosilauke Brook. There's a local pizza truck that's stationed there as well with phenomenal pizza. This is definitely one of our new favorite spots.
Oct 07, 2024 · Parke MacLeanStayed at site 37, absolutely BEAUTIFUL!This campground is located in a perfect spot, and this is my second year staying here, but I will be back for sure. Last year before I left I scoped out this spot and booked it as soon as I could in April, and I’m glad I did. Campground is well maintained and the staff is wonderful. Very kind, and as I was here alone, they were very thoughtful. Offered to move me the first night due to some flash flood warnings, but I knew I was safe and I wanted this spot. Bathrooms are clean, so are the showers. They have an indoor and outdoor shower option, which I prefer the outdoor one when camping. Little shop has everything you could need, and the maple ice cream is delicious.Wednesday night was quiet, neighbors moved in on Thursday and Friday, but the sites have enough trees between and distance enough to not feel crowded. Only a short drive to several of the 48 footers, and I bagged my first peak while here this year. Lovely campground, lovely people, lovely place. We’ll be back! Thank you!
Aug 03, 2024 · Jordyn Te Aranga MossThis was our first time camping at a private campground, we've always camped at state parks and wilderness tent sites. I was amazed at how comfortable and clean everything is at Maple Haven. The bathrooms were so clean, well maintained and attractive. In the mornings, there was a maintenance person raking vacant sites and taking care of the property. The BEST part was the wooded tent site that was bordered by a creek. I was in heaven with the beauty and tranquility. At night, it's so dark you can see the milkyway clearly, which was so nice to see for this city family.I want to go back next year!I should mention we had a mid-week stay when it wasn't busy, so I can't say how quiet or noisy it is when they're booked up.One note: the firewood we got from the camp store was damp (pehaps because we visited late in the season when everything is cool), and we couldn't get it to catch fire. We tried for an hour. Just down the road is a Price Chopper where you can get kiln dried firewood for a little less than twice the price. Worth every penny!
