Millersylvania State Park Campground Reviews
Very nice RV campground. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The walking and bike riding trails on site were beautiful. We managed a five mile ride one day. The restrooms were clean. The local shopping was close by.
Apr 17, 2025 · Terry NewcombThis campground is awesome. Spots are large, open, and plenty of flat ground for a tent or three. Definitely recommend walking to the lake but the real highlight was the old growth forest trails! Budget out at least an hour or two to walk around the trails but maybe take some extra time! The campground itself can be quite loud on weekends in the summer but the trails were super quiet and peaceful. A little something for everyone. Would definitely go again!
Aug 04, 2024 · Logan MalteseCAMPERS BEWARE. Large boulders in your way that you cannot see at NIGHT and you might hit em with your vehicle. Also, there are logs across closed site paths with nothing reflecting on them. You'll also be camping about 20 feet away from the next tent.
Mar 15, 2025 · Kasey BHad a wonderful time camping here recently with my 13 year old daughter. We camped Wednesday-Saturday right before Memorial Day and enjoyed many days of quietness, as most of the campers did not arrive until Friday night. It definitely go much louder Friday night. It took till after 10 pm for the campground to quiet down. I could see it being a very noisy place on weekends. Good park to bring bikes for the kids. The park says it has 8.1 miles of hiking trails. We only did about 3 miles of trails. I followed the trails with the geocaches. There are at least 7-8 geocaches to find among the paths, plus one adventure lab.I was surprised to learn that all the state parks now offer FREE hot showers. No tokens or quarters needed anymore. This location had ample bathrooms and showers throughout. The bathrooms/showers were kept pretty clean (but we weren’t there on a weekend). There’s a camp host who lives on site near the RV camping area. They sell firewood there for $6 a bundle which includes kindling. They did tell me that a boy scout troop is back to selling firewood- something they do during the summer only. There’s a small building that they sell out of (can’t miss it- it has the Boy Scouts signage and troop number on the other side when you drive in). $6 per bundle. If you don’t have cash- no problem! They have a website where you can order online and pay with card. As a bonus you can have it delivered to your campsite that evening between 6:30-7:30. Profits from selling the firewood help fund boy scouts camp. Such a fantastic service all together. The camp host stops selling firewood when the Boy Scouts are operational. We really enjoyed having a lake nearby. There are two swim areas that are roped off. Plus a long dock for fishing, boat launch area. Swim area #1 has a beer garden (cute little spot), bathrooms/showers. Swim area #2 has concessions where they sell ice cream, drinks, hot dog, pretzel etc. This is also where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, water tubes for $20 an hour. The canoe is $30 an hour. Having the lake so close while camping really elevated our experience camping here. One thing I look for before making a campsite reservation is how much privacy does this site have? How close are my neighbors? Is the bathroom far enough away. I want a campsite that has decent privacy and seclusion. We camped at site #108. The water spout was a couple of sites down and easily convenient. Behind the site sat two of the pampered wilderness canvas tents. While exploring some of the campground I jotted down other campsites (no hookups) that met my criteria above and found these sites 35, 46, 53, 55, 57, 61, 64, 66, 76 offer better privacy and seclusion. I attached pictures from my campsite #108 so you can check that out.
Feb 25, 2024 · Lacey WatkinsThe lake and trails are great with super friendly staff! We go every chance we get. It can get pretty crowded around the water and swimming areas as well as the campsites are pretty full in good weather but it is worth it!Just watch out for fishing line along the edges of the water. My dog got caught in some line and I had to go in to untangle him.
