Forestdale Mobile Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" that provide mobile home living options in the Birmingham, Alabama area, Forestdale Mobile Home Community, located at 3124 Una St, Birmingham, AL 35214, USA, presents an interesting opportunity. Based on recent customer reviews, this community is undergoing renovations and offers a family-friendly environment with convenient access to the greater Birmingham area.
The environment of Forestdale Mobile Home Community is described as being "in the country with all of the city's conveniences." This suggests a location that offers a more relaxed, potentially less congested atmosphere while still being close to urban amenities. One reviewer notes the park is "clean," although another mentions that it "needs updating" and that the "roads in bad shape" with a need for upgraded nighttime lighting. However, a more recent review indicates that the park has been "cleaned up" and is "still going through renovations at this time," with the county having addressed potholes at the main entrance. This suggests ongoing efforts to improve the overall environment of the community.
In terms of services, specific details are limited, but we can infer some aspects from the reviews:
- Lot Rentals: The primary service is the leasing of individual lots for mobile homes. The size and specific features of these lots are not detailed.
- Utility Hookups: Residents would typically connect to essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewer. The responsibility for these and billing information are not provided.
- Waste Management: Standard waste disposal services are generally offered in mobile home communities.
- Road Maintenance: While one review mentions roads in bad shape, another indicates that renovations are underway, and the county has addressed entrance road issues, suggesting ongoing attention to infrastructure.
- Community Safety: The community fosters a sense of security, with residents looking out for one another, effectively forming a "neighborhood watch program." The Jefferson County Sheriffs Department provides law enforcement services as the community is in unincorporated Jefferson County.
- Emergency Services: Forestdale is the responding Paramedic/Fire Department and has reportedly been "very helpful in several emergency situations" in the past. However, one review initially noted that there was "no fire department close," which seems to be contradicted by the more recent positive feedback regarding the Forestdale Fire Department's responsiveness. This discrepancy might indicate a change or a misunderstanding in the initial review.
Forestdale Mobile Home Community appears to offer several notable features, particularly for families:
- Family-Friendly Environment: Multiple reviews highlight the community as "very family friendly" with "quite a few new families moving in with children of all ages."
- Excellent School Zoning: The community is zoned for Gardendale High School (described as "EXCELLENT") and Brookville Elementary Schools, making it attractive for families with school-aged children.
- Proximity to Private and Christian Schools: For families seeking alternative schooling options, Sumiton Christian School (K-12) is about 15-20 minutes away, and Forestdale Baptist School (K-6) is approximately 7-10 minutes away.
- Convenient Location: Being located just "one mile off I-22 (Corridor X)" provides easy access to the greater Birmingham area, with commutes to various locations taking less than 15-20 minutes.
- Diverse and Friendly Community: The community is described as a "diverse community of friendly people," suggesting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Ongoing Renovations: The fact that the park is undergoing renovations indicates a commitment to improving the living conditions and infrastructure of the community.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the positive comments about the family-friendly atmosphere, convenient location, and ongoing improvements could be seen as implicit selling points. The suggestion by one reviewer to "stop by the office around the first of each month or calling the park manager to schedule a time to walk through and get a feel for the community" serves as an invitation for prospective residents to learn more firsthand.
The mention of the park being "over half empty" in one of the reviews could be interpreted in different ways. It might suggest that there are currently vacancies available, which could be an opportunity for those seeking immediate housing. Alternatively, it could raise questions about the park's past occupancy, although the influx of "quite a few new families moving in" indicates a positive trend in occupancy.
For local users looking for "mobile home parks near me" in Birmingham, AL, Forestdale Mobile Home Community offers a location with easy access to the city, a family-friendly environment with good school zoning, and a community undergoing positive changes. While some infrastructure updates may still be in progress, the overall sentiment from recent reviews is positive, emphasizing safety, community spirit, and convenience. To obtain specific information about lot availability, rental rates, and the progress of renovations, it is highly recommended to contact the park manager directly by calling the provided phone number or visiting the office. Forestdale Mobile Home Community Reviews
Needs updating. Roads in bad shape and lighting at night needs upgraded. Clean park over half empty. No fire department close. 1 mile off I-22 .Think new management just took over park.
Apr 05, 2018 · Cynthia FortenberryOne mile from I-22 (Corridor X) so you can be just about anywhere in the greater Birmingham area in less than 15-20 minutes, makes for an easy commute. The park has been cleaned up and is still going through renovations at this time. There are some bad spots on the middle road, but the county has filled the potholes coming into the main entrance into the park.It is safe and very family friendly. Everyone tries to look out for one another, so in a way we have our own neighborhood watch program. We are in unincorporated Jefferson County and Jefferson County Sheriffs Department will respond if there happens to be s problem. Forestdale is the responding Paramedic/Fire Department and have been very helpful in several emergency situations that have come up in the past few years. There are quite a few new families moving in with children of all ages, so this is a very family friendly environment. We are zoned for Gardendale High School (EXCELLENT SCHOOL SYSTEM) and Brookville Elementary Schools. If you happen to be looking for Christian or Private schooling, Sumiton Christian School starts enrollment in Kindergarten and goes all the way through high school and is about 15-20 minutes away and there is also Forestdale Baptist School that also begins enrolling in kindergarten and goes to the sixth grade and is about 7- 10 minutes away.Overall, this is a diverse community of friendly people.I suggest stopping by the office around the first of each month or calling the park manager to schedule a time to walk through and get a feel for the community. I describe it as living in the country with all of the city's conveniences.
Sep 09, 2018 · Melinda Looney (Zombieminna)The owners of this property can do better. The roads are horrible. It can cause issues with someone's tires. It would not hurt to clean up the area. Not an attractive area
