Mountain View Cabins & Campground Introduce
For local residents seeking a "camping near me" experience in the scenic northern reaches of New Hampshire, Mountain View Cabins & Campground, located at 2787 N Main St, Pittsburg, NH 03592, presents an appealing option. With contact numbers (603) 538-6305 and +1 603-538-6305, this establishment offers a combination of cozy cabin rentals and, presumably, traditional campground facilities, catering to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts.
Based on the available customer reviews, Mountain View Cabins & Campground appears to prioritize creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for its guests. One recent reviewer described their stay as a perfect "10/10," emphasizing the welcoming nature of the staff and the exceptional coziness of the cabins. This positive feedback suggests a commitment to hospitality and comfortable accommodations. The mention of a viewpoint with a hammock for mountain gazing highlights the property's appreciation for its natural surroundings, offering guests a dedicated space to relax and soak in the fresh air and scenic vistas. The opportunity for a pleasant morning walk further underscores the tranquil environment that guests can expect.
Another long-term customer, who has been renting from Judy (presumably the owner or manager) for over two decades, speaks to the consistent quality of the accommodations. This reviewer notes that the cabins and houses are always clean and comfortable, and importantly for winter sports enthusiasts, they are conveniently located right on the snowmobile trails. While acknowledging that the accommodations might not be overly luxurious ("nothing fancy"), they are described as "great" for the limited time spent indoors, serving as a perfect base for group stays and contributing to years of repeat business. This long-standing positive relationship speaks volumes about the reliability and suitability of Mountain View Cabins & Campground, particularly for those interested in snowmobiling during the winter months.
Pittsburg, New Hampshire, where Mountain View Cabins & Campground is situated, is known for its stunning natural beauty and vast outdoor recreational opportunities. Located in the northernmost part of the state, it offers access to a landscape characterized by mountains, forests, lakes, and rivers. The "mountain view" aspect of the campground's name suggests that guests can expect picturesque scenery, adding to the overall appeal of staying at this location. The fresh air and tranquil surroundings, as mentioned by one reviewer, are typical of this region, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The proximity to "Downtown Golden" (as mentioned in one review) being a 15-20 minute drive away is an interesting point for local users. While "Golden" might be a local nickname or a nearby point of interest not widely known, it suggests that while the campground offers a sense of natural seclusion, it is also within reasonable driving distance of some local amenities or perhaps another town center where guests might find dining, shopping, or other services. Local users familiar with the Pittsburg and surrounding areas might have a better understanding of what "Downtown Golden" refers to.
The mention of dogs on the property being a "nice surprise" in one review suggests a pet-friendly atmosphere or perhaps the presence of resident dogs belonging to the owners or staff. For local users who are pet owners, this could be a significant positive, although it would be wise to inquire about the campground's specific pet policies if planning to bring their own animals.
Given that the name includes "Cabins & Campground," it is likely that Mountain View offers a range of accommodation options. The reviews specifically mention "cozy cabins" and "cabins and houses," indicating that these are a primary type of lodging available. However, the "Campground" part of the name suggests that they may also offer traditional campsites for tents or RVs. Local users interested in bringing their own camping equipment should inquire about the availability and features of these campsites, such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewer (if applicable), as well as the size and type of sites available.
For local users considering a stay at Mountain View Cabins & Campground, the following aspects based on the provided information stand out:

Mountain View Cabins & Campground Reviews
Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was a 10/10. The staff were very welcoming. The cabins are super cozy. Downtown Golden is only about a 15-20 min drive. Make sure to check out the viewpoint. They have a nice little hammock to chill in while you’re looking at the mountains. Nice to go for a walk in the morning and just soak in the fresh air. The dogs on the property were a nice surprise. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.
Jul 26, 2024 · SDWe've been renting from Judy since I was in middle school 20+ years ago. Her cabins and houses are always clean, comfortable and located right on the snowmobile trails. Most of them are nothing fancy however the little time we spend in the actual cabin they are great. They are the perfect place for our group to stay and we will continue to come back for years to come.
Feb 07, 2023 · Greg SoutherSuch a clean, cozy and comfortable stay!! Judy was so helpful and friendly!! We had everything we needed, clean linens, cookware, stove top, microwave, toaster, shower, a/c, heat and even a TV! We had easy access to the ATV trails across the road and gas as well. Full Send bar & grille had an amazing spread too, breakfast lunch and dinner, and the food was always great!! Defiantly a gem for all seasons and worth the price and location!!!
