Old Highway 41 #3 Campground Introduce
For those in the Acworth, Georgia area or those searching within the "camping near me" category, Old Highway 41 #3 Campground, located at 6700 N Main St SE, Acworth, GA 30101, USA, presents a lakeside camping option with varying experiences reported by visitors. You can reach them at (877) 444-6777 or +1 877-444-6777 for inquiries and bookings.
Based on recent customer feedback, the environment at Old Highway 41 #3 Campground appears to offer a mix of tranquility and activity depending on the specific campsite. One positive review highlights the quiet nature of certain sites, particularly mentioning sites 49 and 50. These two sites are noted for needing to be rented together and are described as feeling remote, offering a sense of privacy and exclusive access to the back side of the lake. This area is praised for its scenic beauty right on the lake bank and easy access to the water.
However, another visitor reported a less peaceful experience at site #30. This site, while also located near the water, was described as "EXTREMELY busy" with significant noise from boats and jet skis operating from sunrise to sunset. Additionally, the presence of a YMCA camp directly across the water contributed to the noise levels in that particular area. This suggests that the proximity to the lake can be a double-edged sword, offering beautiful views and access but potentially accompanied by significant daytime activity and associated noise.
In terms of features, the primary draw of Old Highway 41 #3 Campground seems to be its lakeside location, offering direct access to the water for recreational activities. The positive review specifically mentions "easy access to the lake," which would be appealing to those interested in swimming, fishing, or boating. The description of sites 49 and 50 further emphasizes this feature, suggesting a more secluded and immersive lakeside experience for those willing to rent both sites.
The reviews provide limited information about specific services and amenities offered at the campground. While the presence of lakeside campsites is a key feature, details regarding hookups, restroom facilities, or other campground amenities are not explicitly mentioned in the provided feedback. Therefore, it is advisable for potential visitors to contact the campground directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about the availability of specific services relevant to their camping needs, such as water, electricity, sewer connections, restroom and shower facilities, and any other amenities offered.
One review expresses significant disappointment with their overall experience, stating it would be a "one and done" visit. Beyond the noise issues from lake activities and the nearby YMCA camp, this reviewer also raised concerns about neighboring campsites. They reported a very large group at one site that appeared to exceed guest limits and individuals at another site allegedly using recreational substances. These are serious concerns regarding campground management and the adherence to rules and regulations, which could significantly impact the comfort and safety of other campers. It's important to note that this might have been an isolated experience specific to that particular weekend, but it is a factor that potential visitors might want to consider.
Given the contrasting experiences reported in the reviews, it's challenging to provide definitive promotional information. The allure of quiet, remote lakeside sites (49 and 50) could be a potential selling point for those seeking a peaceful retreat. However, the reports of noise in other areas and concerns about neighboring campers suggest that the experience can vary significantly depending on the location within the campground and potentially the time of year or specific weekend.
For local users searching for "camping near me" and considering Old Highway 41 #3 Campground, it would be prudent to weigh the potential benefits of lakeside access and the possibility of quieter, more secluded sites against the reported issues of noise and disruptive neighboring campers. It is highly recommended to contact the campground directly to inquire about site availability, specific amenities, and any current policies or procedures in place to ensure a pleasant and safe camping environment.
In conclusion, Old Highway 41 #3 Campground offers a lakeside camping experience in Acworth, GA. While some sites, particularly 49 and 50 (rented together), are described as quiet and remote with excellent lake access, other areas, such as site #30, have been reported as noisy due to lake activities and a nearby camp. Additionally, concerns have been raised about adherence to guest limits and disruptive behavior in neighboring campsites. Potential visitors should contact the campground directly at (877) 444-6777 or +1 877-444-6777 to gather more information and make an informed decision based on their individual preferences and priorities for a camping experience.

Old Highway 41 #3 Campground Reviews
We love this campground! It very quiet and some sits feel remote, especially sites 49 and 50. These two have to be rented together. It feels like you have the whole back side of the lake to yourself. A really pretty site right on the bank of the lake. Easy access to the lake
Sep 01, 2024 · Pamela TurickIf you're looking for a laid-back getaway close to the city where you can get some much needed R&R or spend some quality time with the family, then keep on looking! We stayed in site #30 for the weekend and were, unfortunately, disappointed overall with this campground. Our site was located near the water, but this area is EXTREMELY busy, so boats and jet skis could be heard from sun up to sun down. There is a YMCA camp directly across the water from this spot, so there was the added noise from that, as well. The worst part for us, and this might have just been the luck of the weekend we went, but two of the sites around us were occupied by a very large group that appeared to exceed the guest limit and the other site had people clearly partaking in the use of recreational (?) substances, and not the herbal type.Long review short, this will be a one and done for us.
Jul 17, 2023 · Quest and ConsumeNice campground on the lake, reasonably priced, great views and private campsites.Bathrooms we're clean and great for a warm shower.Really the only complaint is the highway noise. At night gets fairly loud, at least on the side we stayed on. Other than that, great place to stay when passing through, or a weekend of fun out on the lake.
Sep 10, 2022 · Vitor VI don't mind the highway noise. It can't be fixed so why bother complaining.. The views are lovely. Staff is generally friendly. Lots are amply spaced and mostly shaded.I've stayed here a couple of times and the two issues I had... were lack of detailed signage for sites and various other P.O.I. on each street along with going down to site 30 or any off that street... there needs to be large signage stating dead ends and no turn around as we had a difficult time to say the least. It was a 30 min fiasco the last visit finding our site and then backing out up a long long ways to try to get out of the road and then back down in there to the site. Had we had signage stating must back from this point.. It would have made it a smoother entry.
