Pine Bar Campground Introduce
Are you searching for "camping near me" and yearning for a peaceful and intimate outdoor experience? Look no further than Pine Bar Campground, nestled in the scenic landscapes near Wayan, Idaho. Based on feedback from fellow campers, Pine Bar Campground offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in nature in a smaller, more secluded setting. If you appreciate tranquility, the soothing sounds of a creek, and a more private camping experience, Pine Bar Campground could be the perfect destination for your next getaway.
Intimate and Secluded Setting
One of the defining characteristics of Pine Bar Campground is its small size, with only approximately five campsites. This intimate scale offers a significant advantage for those seeking a quieter and less crowded camping experience compared to larger campgrounds. Imagine having ample space and a greater sense of privacy during your stay. For campers who value solitude and a more direct connection with nature, the limited number of sites at Pine Bar Campground creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
Creek-Side Camping and Natural Beauty
A significant highlight of Pine Bar Campground is that all campsites are situated along the creek. This picturesque setting provides a soothing backdrop for your camping experience, with the gentle sounds of flowing water enhancing the tranquility. The "very beautiful spot" mentioned by a reviewer suggests that the natural surroundings are a key attraction of this campground. Waking up to the sights and sounds of the creek can create a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience, allowing you to fully unwind and connect with the natural environment.
Pet-Friendly Escape
For those who love to travel with their furry companions, Pine Bar Campground appears to be a welcoming destination. One reviewer shared their positive experience of being the only campers, allowing their dogs to enjoy the entire area. This suggests a pet-friendly environment where your dogs can have more freedom to roam and enjoy the outdoors. If you consider your pets an integral part of your camping adventures, Pine Bar Campground offers a space where they can feel at home in nature.
Hiking Opportunities Nearby
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the availability of a "nice hike just over the bridge" from the campground. This provides an opportunity to explore the surrounding area on foot and immerse yourself further in the natural beauty of Idaho. Whether you are looking for a leisurely stroll or a more invigorating trek, having a hiking trail in close proximity to the campground adds another layer of outdoor adventure to your camping experience.
Essential Amenities Provided
While Pine Bar Campground is described as small and intimate, it still provides essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The presence of restrooms and garbage cans ensures basic hygiene and waste management, contributing to a more pleasant and responsible camping experience. Knowing that these fundamental facilities are available allows you to focus on enjoying the natural surroundings without having to worry about these necessities.
Important Considerations: Bug Spray Recommended
It is important to note that one reviewer specifically mentioned that "mosquitoes were bad" during their stay over the July 4th weekend. While another reviewer who visited at the end of August did not encounter mosquito problems, it is advisable to come prepared with plenty of bug spray, especially during the warmer months and around water sources. Being aware of potential insect activity will help you have a more comfortable and enjoyable camping trip.
A Quieter Alternative
The comment "we got the impression that not too many people stay here" reinforces the idea that Pine Bar Campground offers a less crowded camping option. For those seeking to avoid the hustle and bustle of more popular campgrounds, this can be a significant draw. The potential for a more secluded and peaceful experience makes Pine Bar Campground an attractive choice for campers who prioritize tranquility and a more direct connection with nature.

Pine Bar Campground Reviews
Nice small camground only about 5 sites. We were the only ones there, so our dogs loved having the whole place to themselves. We only stayed 1 night. There is a nice hike just over the bridge. Camp sites are all on the creek.Went the end of August and didn't have a problem with mosquitos. Has restrooms and garbage cans.
Aug 31, 2020 · Maryann WilliamsWe stayed at this campground over July 4th weekend 2019..Very beautiful spot... We got excellent spring water flowing into the creek just below campground #4.(ran it through our Brita).. the trail is steep from the creek back up to the campground . Bring plenty of bug spray mosquitoes were bad. weather was perfect the 3 days we were there... we got the impression that not too many people stay here.. restrooms were good and garbage cans are available. Probably the only downside of this campground are the bugs.
Jul 10, 2019 · JoAnna WiscombeSmall campground, just used it for an over night stay. Cheap price ($8) as it should be. Looks like a good place to fish the nearby creek, it is still in Idaho. Got there late at night and left early so not too much to say. It does have vaulted toilets. I was a little surprised how few sites were remainingy, but we managed to find a few spots left open. Beautiful in the September with all the leaves changing.
Oct 07, 2018 · Jeremy BowenIt’s fine for a quick overnight, but not a destination for multiple nights. There were only 2 sites occupied…I cannot imagine it would ever be filled.
Jul 23, 2023 · Benjamin FriesenGorgeous little Campground...kind out in the middle of no where. Tent or small trailers probably best.
