Riverside Campground Introduce
For local users in Idaho or those searching for "camping near me" in the Garden Valley area, Riverside Campground, located at NF-555, Garden Valley, ID 83622, USA, is a camping option to consider. You can reach them at (208) 373-4100 or +1 208-373-4100. Based on the available customer reviews, we can gather some insights into the environment and potential experience at this campground.
One reviewer recommended campsite number 7, suggesting it offers a "semi-secluded experience within an established campground." This implies that while Riverside Campground is a developed camping area, at least some sites provide a degree of privacy. The same reviewer also mentioned "Private lake and reservoir access," which is a significant feature for those who enjoy water-based activities such as fishing, swimming, or boating. This access to both a private lake and a reservoir could be a major draw for visitors seeking waterfront camping opportunities.
However, this reviewer also expressed a desire for "the primitive campers across the river" to be quieter, indicating that the noise from other campers in the vicinity could sometimes detract from the natural experience. This suggests that while the campground itself might be established, the surrounding area, possibly on the opposite side of a river, may accommodate more primitive or less regulated camping, which could impact the overall ambiance.
Another reviewer echoed the sentiment about the location being "Cool," which likely refers to the natural setting and possibly the access to the river or other water bodies. However, their experience was negatively affected by noise from campers across the river on forest land. They reported "belligerent campers" who stayed up until 3 am, using coarse language that was audible to families within earshot. This led to a significant disappointment, with the reviewer feeling that their camping weekend was wasted because they couldn't enjoy the peace and quiet of nature they had sought. When they relayed this experience to a forest service employee, the response was simply, "That will happen," which the reviewer found unsatisfactory.
This feedback highlights a potential issue with noise and the lack of control over campers in the adjacent forest land. For local users searching for "camping near me" hoping for a tranquil natural retreat, this is a crucial consideration. While Riverside Campground itself might have its merits, the experience could be influenced by the behavior of others camping nearby but outside the established campground boundaries.
Considering the platform category of "camping near me," Riverside Campground in Garden Valley, ID, appears to offer a location with access to a private lake and a reservoir, and at least one campsite (number 7) is noted for being semi-secluded. These are positive aspects that could attract those looking for waterfront camping with some degree of privacy. However, the significant drawback highlighted in the reviews is the potential for noise from other campers across the river in the surrounding forest land, which can disrupt the peace and quiet that many seek when camping.
The environment of Riverside Campground seems to be one where you can enjoy water access, possibly scenic river views (implied by the noise from "across the river"), and a sense of being in nature within Garden Valley. However, the experience might be somewhat compromised by the lack of control over noise from nearby, non-campground campers.
The reviews do not provide specific details about the services and features within Riverside Campground itself, such as the types of campsites (tent, RV), the availability of amenities like restrooms, water, or fire pits, or any specific rules or regulations enforced within the campground. Therefore, we cannot offer an objective assessment of these aspects based solely on the provided feedback. Similarly, there is no promotional information available.
For local users exploring "camping near me" and considering Riverside Campground, it would be beneficial to inquire about the layout of the campground, the proximity of campsites to the river and any adjacent forest land, and any policies regarding noise or interaction with campers outside the campground. Contacting the phone numbers provided might yield more information about the facilities and typical environment within Riverside Campground itself.
In conclusion, Riverside Campground in Garden Valley, ID, offers a "cool location" with private lake and reservoir access, and at least one semi-secluded campsite. However, potential visitors should be aware of the possibility of noise issues from campers in the adjacent forest land across the river, which has significantly detracted from the experience of at least one reviewer. For those prioritizing waterfront access, the campground might still be appealing, but those highly sensitive to noise might want to seek more information or consider other options for "camping near me."

Riverside Campground Reviews
Grab campsite 7 for a semi-secluded experience within an established campground. Private lake and reservoir access. Now if I not the primitive campers across the river could be quieter and enjoy the nature…
Jul 11, 2021 · John Michael SchertCool location, but people will camp across the river in forest land. There were belligerent campers accross the river from us that stayed up until 3am. Luckily my kids went to sleep fast, because their language was really coarse given all the families within earshot. We relayed our experience the next day to the forest service employee and she replied... That will happen. Honestly that was a waste of a camping weekend. Why drive all the way out there when you won't even be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Jul 11, 2023 · Rogelio BarbosaWe stay here on a yearly basis. Early season you can dock the boat against the riverside area, just know if later in the season the river is blocked off to boating. Great, clean campsites and decent shade.
Aug 19, 2019 · Kyle CollinsGood spring and early camping spot when reasavor is full. Higher number spots have more trees. Lower number spots close to main road.
