Riverview Camp Ground & Marina Introduce
For local residents seeking a traditional and nature-focused "camping near me" experience, Riverview Camp Ground & Marina, located at 13987 Park Ave, Waterport, NY 14571, USA, offers a charming and relaxing escape. This campground emphasizes a back-to-basics approach, allowing visitors to reconnect with nature along a beautiful creek. With its pet-friendly policy and access to a marina, Riverview Camp Ground & Marina caters to those who appreciate a simpler camping experience and enjoy water-based activities.
The environment at Riverview Camp Ground & Marina is centered around its picturesque location along a "beautiful creek full of wildlife." This natural setting provides a tranquil backdrop for a relaxing weekend or longer stay. Campers can expect to be immersed in the sights and sounds of nature, with opportunities for wildlife observation right from their campsite. The presence of the creek also makes it an ideal spot for fishing, as highlighted by a reviewer whose "husband and sons caught many fish." While one review mentions that "the stairs and docks are quite run down and in need of repair," they were still functional for launching kayaks, indicating that the waterfront access is a key feature despite some maintenance needs. The campsites themselves are described as being of a "nice size," offering adequate space for setting up tents or parking smaller RVs. The presence of a volleyball net, basketball (with balls included), swings, and sitting toys suggests that the campground also provides some recreational facilities for families and those looking for outdoor games. While some picnic tables were noted as "broken" and there was an issue with previous campers leaving trash, the overall natural beauty of the creek and the spaciousness of the sites contribute to a positive camping environment.
The services at Riverview Camp Ground & Marina focus on providing the essentials for a comfortable back-to-basics camping experience. Check-in is described as "simple," and communication is efficiently handled via email, with all questions answered promptly. The campground is pet-friendly, welcoming furry companions (with the requirement to bring rabies numbers). The availability of "cute and clean" bathrooms and "hot" showers is a significant plus for campers who appreciate clean and functional facilities. The inclusion of recreational amenities like a volleyball net, basketball court, and swings offers opportunities for outdoor fun and engagement. While the marina aspect is in the campground name, the reviews don't provide specific details about marina services such as boat rentals or docking facilities, suggesting that it might be more geared towards campers bringing their own small watercraft, as indicated by the kayak launching. The mention of some broken picnic tables suggests that while basic amenities are provided, some may be in need of upkeep.
The features of Riverview Camp Ground & Marina revolve around its natural setting and emphasis on a traditional camping experience. The direct access to a beautiful creek teeming with wildlife is a primary feature, offering opportunities for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and simply enjoying the natural scenery. The pet-friendly policy allows campers to bring their beloved animals along for the adventure. The availability of recreational equipment like volleyball and basketball provides on-site entertainment for various age groups. For those seeking a break from the "concrete jungle life" and a return to nature, as one long-time admirer put it, this campground embodies that spirit. The quiet and respectful atmosphere among campers after hours, as noted in a review, contributes to a peaceful and enjoyable stay. While the campground may lack some of the "glamping" amenities found elsewhere, its focus on the essential elements of camping – nature, basic facilities, and a sense of community – is its core appeal.

Riverview Camp Ground & Marina Reviews
We had a relaxing weekend. Check in was simple. All communication was done over email with all of our questions answered. Pets were welcome (bring rabies numbers). The bathrooms were cute and clean and the showers were hot. There is a volleyball net, basketball (balls included), swings, and sitting toys. The stairs and docks are quite run down and in need of repair but they worked fine for our kayaks. We spent most of our days on the beautiful creek full of wildlife. My husband and sons caught many fish. The sites were a nice size but some of the picnic tables were broken and the people before us left their plastic trash in the fire ring. The other campers were respectful and quiet after hours. All in all it is a great little campground that is just right where it mattered! We will definitely be coming back.
Sep 06, 2021 · Melanie SAlthough I haven’t been in years, my brother and I spent summers growing up here through the late 90s into the 2000s with our Oma and papa. This campground is the true nature of getting back to basics. Seeing people complain that there isn’t more “glamping” amenities is so backwards cause isn’t that the point of camping? To get away from the concrete jungle life and into nature? Now that I’m a Texan and an adult, I truly miss “the camp”.Thanks for keeping her going, yall! With love,Terrah Rosecrans, -Bob & Urs Heywood

Nov 12, 2021 · Duane YThis is an old campground, somewhat rundown with some abandoned camp grounds. There aren't the amenities of a store, pool or activities. However, it did have good location, access to the creek, it was quiet and the other campers were friendly and helpful. Also, has a small playground. The price is right for having the remnants of time past and not up to date renovations. We had a very nice stay!
