Sage Flat Campground Reviews
Very nice campground 9 miles up Big Pine Canyon. Stayed 4 days. Large campsites and you can have campfires! Collecting wood is allowed as well. Big bear lockers for storing your food! Bathrooms are very well maintained. There’s a little store 1.5 miles up the road at the end which has everything you might need. Small grill too. We had Bacon Cheeseburgers that were awesome! Playground is next to store and Kids Fishing Pond. Sasquatch signs cracked us up. We did see Sage Grouse in the early morning. Creek is running pretty good. Lots of pools to sit and cool off in. Fishing was good, caught about 10, released them all. I’d definitely camp here again.
Sep 17, 2024 · Loretta St MartinBeautiful campground. Traffic was light. Water spigots close by.I'm not a fan of vault toilets, though. We didn't have a reservation, but we found a site for 3 nights.
Sep 30, 2023 · Lori TravisAn amazing secluded spot. No cell service of any kind and most camp spots couldn't accommodate a trailer larger than 23 feet or so. Dave the host is a delight and very helpful.
Jul 24, 2020 · darin evansSuch a beautiful place with Gorgeous huge Jeffrey Pines. The place is very shady and there really is not one bad campsite. They are all great! The camp host is cool and he genuinely loves his job. He's super helpful and the water is crystal blue and gorgeous. Be sure to take the little walk where the Jeffrey Pines are hugging each other. Ask the camp host.
Aug 14, 2019 · Jesmesh MThe cleanest, most well-kept and friendly campground I've ever visited. David Mac -- the campground manager -- is friendly, hospitable, and takes great care of Sage Flat. Felt kind of like a little community - we were only there for two days, but everyone was friendly and it seemed like David knew everyone's name. Check out his rock and crystal collection and tune in to his radio show on your way in (97.7).Toilets are clean - what!? Yes, it's true. There's also running water, which can be a bonus. If you find my AirPods, my phone number is on them - please help reunite them with me :).We will 100% visit Sage Flat Campground again!
