Salmon River Campground

ID-75, Stanley, ID 83278, USA

4.0
Great little campground not very far from Stanley. You are right along the highway so it can be a little loud at times. The river is easily accessible most of the year and the bathrooms were clean. In the late season the river is low and can be a nice little place to dip your feet. Lots of trails nearby and if you need a little more privacy then Casino Creek Campground is just down the road. - C C

Based on customer reviews, the environment of Salmon River Campground is characterized by its proximity to the Salmon River. This offers the significant feature of easy river access for a large part of the year. Campers have noted that during the late season, when the river is low, it becomes a pleasant spot for wading and dipping feet, even being considered safe for young children. However, it's worth noting the recommendation for water shoes due to smooth and slippery rocks in the riverbed. The campground's location right along the highway is also a key environmental factor, with reviewers mentioning that traffic noise can be noticeable at times. Despite this, the allure of being close to the river seems to be a major draw for visitors.

In terms of services, the reviews indicate that Salmon River Campground offers basic amenities. Clean bathrooms are specifically mentioned, which is a significant convenience for campers. However, there is no information provided about other potential services such as showers, picnic tables, fire pits, or water hookups at individual campsites. The features of Salmon River Campground are primarily centered around its location.
