Sea Ranch RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the scenic Cannon Beach area of Oregon, Sea Ranch RV Park, located at 415 Fir St, Cannon Beach, OR 97110, USA, presents a camping option with both appealing features and potential drawbacks, according to recent customer reviews. You can contact them directly at (503) 436-4203 or +1 503-436-4203 for inquiries and reservations.
One positive aspect frequently mentioned is the "perfect location" of Sea Ranch RV Park. This suggests a convenient setting that offers easy access to the attractions and natural beauty of Cannon Beach. Specifically, the park is noted for being "away from the crowds and traffic," which could be a significant advantage for those seeking a more peaceful and relaxed camping experience. Furthermore, the location boasts a "short beautiful walk to the beach," making it an ideal choice for beach lovers and those wishing to enjoy the Oregon coastline.
In addition to potential campsites for RVs, Sea Ranch RV Park also offers cabin rentals. One reviewer who stayed in a cabin described it as "clean with fresh new linens." This indicates a focus on providing a comfortable and hygienic lodging option. The cabin was also reported to have a well-equipped kitchen, including "all the necessary items" such as dishes, cutlery, and small appliances like a "mini gas stove, cattle and a microwave." This level of amenity in the cabins could appeal to campers who prefer a more home-like experience with the ability to prepare their own meals.
However, it's important to consider some negative feedback from other visitors. One reviewer, who visited in July 2024, noted a couple of issues with their experience. They mentioned that the "fire pit was missing the rack for cooking," which could be inconvenient for those planning to cook over an open fire. Additionally, they reported that the "water in the toilet was running in the bathroom," indicating a potential maintenance issue within the cabin.
Another reviewer expressed significant concerns about the overall atmosphere and infrastructure of the RV park. They described it as "more like a luxury homeless encampment" and stated that it was "overly crowded." This suggests a potentially high density of campers, which might detract from the peaceful experience highlighted by the other reviewer. The same concerned visitor also noted that "what used to be single campsites have been turned into three campsites," further contributing to the perceived overcrowding and lack of personal space. They also reported a lack of parking, stating, "There was no where to park our car, so based on that fact alone we did not stay and opted to pay for a hotel." This is a critical issue that could significantly impact the accessibility and enjoyment of the campground for visitors with vehicles.
The negative reviewer concluded that "it appears infrastructure was not able to support the amount of campers" and explicitly stated, "Would not recommend." This strong negative feedback raises concerns about the park's capacity management and the potential for an overly dense and potentially less enjoyable camping experience, particularly during peak seasons.
Considering the mixed reviews, local users searching for "camping near me" should weigh the positive aspects of Sea Ranch RV Park's location and cabin amenities against the potential drawbacks of overcrowding and infrastructure limitations. The proximity to the beach and the quiet setting reported by one reviewer are certainly attractive features. However, the concerns raised by another visitor regarding the density of campsites, parking issues, and potential maintenance problems should also be taken into account.
For those interested in staying at Sea Ranch RV Park, it would be prudent to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about the current conditions, campsite availability, parking arrangements, and any recent improvements or changes in management practices. Asking specific questions about campsite density and the availability of amenities like fire pit racks could help potential campers make an informed decision. Additionally, checking recent online reviews on various platforms might provide a broader range of current perspectives on the campground.
In conclusion, Sea Ranch RV Park offers a potentially appealing location in Cannon Beach, with easy beach access and well-equipped cabins. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with overcrowding and infrastructure that could impact the overall camping experience. Local users seeking "camping near me" should carefully consider these factors and seek up-to-date information before making a reservation to ensure it aligns with their expectations for a coastal camping getaway.

Dec 18, 2024 · Evgenia LitusMore like a luxury homeless encampment. Overly crowded. It looks like what used to be a single campsites have been turned into three campsites. You are right next to other tents. There was no where to park our car, so based on that fact alone we did not stay and opted to pay for a hotel. It appears infrastructure was not able to support the amount of campers. Would not recommend.
Aug 15, 2024 · Deanna BallCamped our a van a couple days ago. We had a water and electric site, 1 dog, and 3 people including myself. Price is about $88 with tax and fees. Absolutely worth it!! I am not someone who has a lot to spend but we had a great experience, access to showers/bathrooms, excellent location 5 min walk from town or the beach, peaceful area with wildlife, and our site has a fire pit, water, and electricity.Be kind to management and patient. I see some of the reviews complaining about cancellation policy, etc. Sea Ranch has very straightforward information about their cancellation policy on the website when booking, and at the office..lots of written info and it was very clear to me—no hidden tactics there. It does get super busy and full in the summer and is a different experience than the peaceful spring time. Just make sure you follow rules, and get a site big enough (the site sizes vary a lot).Looking forward to coming here again!
Apr 01, 2024 · Adalet RaisaThe Asian dude working the front desk must be a family member because he would be fired otherwise. Passive-aggressive mean. They need to fix potholes and trim high trees in their.......RV PARK. Sites 22, 23, 24 for bigger rigs have barely enough room for your awning and your neighbor's sewer is right next to your door. Dusty, it is a parking lot. It's a great location to leave your car and walk or bike to the little town, which is the reason they charge so much. Like the last review, I would not stay here again.CANNON BEACH RV Resort is VERY nice with grass, big shade trees, paved road and room between sites. We visited & learned it's the same price and much easier to park & more spaces. Alittle longer walk to shops, but just 2 minutes on a bike.
Jan 13, 2025 · Marlene HarrisonIt was our first time staying at this campground. We (3 people + dog) stayed 2 nights in one of the Standard Cabins and had a great time! Our cabin was very close to the horse pasture and stables which was lovely. Their horses are beautiful and obviously well cared for.The staff was very nice (honestly not sure why there are so many negative reviews). Our cabin had a bathroom and shower inside so I can't comment on the public facilities since we didn't use them. The recycling/garbage station was clean and so was the dish washing area at the front of the grounds. The campsites were on the small side and fairly open to view, but nothing a line of twine and some hanging towels/sheets can't fix if needed.Overall this was a great place to stay and much more economical than the hotels in town. We will definitely book at Sea Ranch in the future!
