However, it's important to note a contrasting experience shared by another reviewer regarding noise levels. This guest reported issues with loud music being played at a neighboring campsite for an extended period, significantly impacting their ability to rest. Despite multiple calls to the main office, the issue was not immediately resolved, eventually requiring the owner's intervention. This suggests that while the campground generally fosters a social atmosphere, noise control might be an area for potential improvement. The same reviewer also mentioned subsequent harassment from someone driving by their site, indicating a possible need for enhanced security or rule enforcement.
The positive review highlights the enjoyment of music by most attendees, suggesting that a generally permissive attitude towards music might be part of the campground's social fabric. However, the negative review underscores the importance of balancing a lively atmosphere with respect for all guests' needs, particularly regarding noise levels and campground rules. Sweet Minihaha Campground Reviews
Campsite is beautiful, everyone there obviously loves it. But there were people blasting music as loud as possible right next to our own site. It really ruined the experience because we had tired ourselves out and just wanted to rest, with us having to call in to the main office five times for them to tell us they couldn’t do anything. Eventually the owner started talking with us and began to work stuff out. But even after the owner came down and dealt with it we had somebody driving by and harassing us every half hour. I’d recommend enforcing your rules better in the future.
Jun 25, 2023 · GraceThis is a great place to come and hang out. Mostly adults and older kids and everyone loves their music (just be prepared to listen and enjoy). Good mix of tents and RVs. Spots 47-59 are great ones - a bit far from the showers but you are camping. The folks at the front office are awesome - Yea to Lisa for keeping all things moving efficiently. Ultimately, this is a social campground - people talk to each other, say good morning, and form an ad hoc community for the weekend. Kayak, tube, or canoe the river - it is a lot of fun.
May 04, 2020 · Carl NerupOur first time camping here, and our first time camping in a long time.We appreciated that staff alerted us to a storm coming. They also made shelter available at the community center. We chose to test the integrity of our 20 year old tent. Haha (Ended up successful... Many out there that weekend were not so.)We chose a site close to the restroom. Felt like the facilities were new.... not a porta-potty. Not gross. Not stinky. Sanitizer provided (though, by Sunday was low). There was some confusion about the site. It said our site was electric, but it wasn't. And when we bought wood, they tried to deliver it to the neighboring site. Next time, well get clarification as to how it works. If you're camping, we definitely recommend you bring some sort of canopy, as some sites don't offer shade. If you're utilizing the river, it's quite convenient to exit the river and walk back to camp. There was something going on at the community center Saturday evening, and we regretfully did not attend. Next time we will definitely check it out. Can't wait camp at Sweet Minihaha again!
Aug 27, 2023 · Southern HellePlace is fantastic and perfect for kayakers, canoers or just floaters. Right on the Sugar River . You end your trips at your campsite. Great set up. Friendly/funny staff. Ice And wood onsite and get dropped off at your camping site. Will definitely be going back soon.
Aug 22, 2022 · Matt OlsonCame here for a day of tubing. We came on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded but it may be on the weekends. The driver was friendly and funny! The campsite it self looks like a blast! The restaurant and bar area has cool decorations and vibe.
