One review, from a long-time Thousand Trails member, expresses disappointment with the condition of the cabins, citing the need for updates and issues with heating in their unit. The same review also mentions an issue with loud music from other guests, although the night ranger effectively addressed the situation. However, another review from an RVer provides a more comprehensive list of pros and cons. The pros include the proximity to the beach and the shuttle service, spacious and well-maintained RV sites, nice hot showers in the front, a heated pool and hot tub, great Starlink service in the front, and friendly and helpful staff. The cons mentioned are the unclean and partially non-operational laundry room, the touristy nature of the surrounding area making it a drive to find more local experiences and reasonably priced groceries, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which were noted to have hair that wasn't cleaned for an extended period. Despite these drawbacks, the RVer concluded that they would stay again and considered it one of the better Thousand Trails they have visited, highlighting its overall appeal, especially for RV camping and beach access.

Thousand Trails Moody Beach Reviews
Been a Thousand trails member for multiple years as well as parents and grandparents. This place is not up to standard of the Thousand trails brand. The cabins are all we use and for the price paid, the place is in serious need of updates and upgrades. Not sure if this is a manager issue or a TT issue. Whaler's rest in Oregon has all newer or updated cabins. The one we're in has a heater that only heats up the back bedroom but the thermostat is in the living area making it get over 90 degrees in a few moments. Constantly having to turn the heat on or off by hand.Another issue is the allowance of other guests playing extremely loud music. The ranger said quiet time is at 11pm. If this were any of the other locations this wouldn't be an issue. He did ask them to quiet up but the music is easily heard through the walls of our cabin.Update:The night ranger did ask the neighbors to lower the volume. It was much better after that.
Sep 22, 2024 · Darren Westhora40 foot fifth wheel 50 amp FHUPros:-1.5 miles to ocean/beach. They also have a shuttle to the beach.- the sites were spacious and the front sites were open and gravel with a nice piece of grass for your site.-Showers in the front were nice and hot-Gravel spots were nice and spacious-Pool was heated and had hot tub- great Starlink service in front area- staff had a list of open sites when we checked in- LOVE THIS, SO HELPFUL-staff were very friendly and present- two playgrounds, basketball court, very family friendly.Cons:- laundry room had machines that were non-operational, it was also not all that clean. We opted to use the laundromat after our first attempt at laundry. There was one about a mile away that was nice.-this is more our preference but the area was very touristy. It took us 30 minutes to get anywhere that felt like a more local experience or to even get reasonably priced groceries.- while the bathrooms were hot, they were not all that clean. Lots of clumps of hair that were there the duration of our 3 week stay.Overall a place we would stay again and one of the better Thousand Trails we have stayed at.
Jun 28, 2024 · Emily OrserCamping at this place was the absolute worst experience. We arrived at our tent site to find it strewn with broken glass and trash. The fire pit had not been cleaned out, and was FULL of half melted plastic and aluminum cans. Upon moving a couple of large rocks that were a tripping hazard in the middle of the site, I realized that our tent site was situated on a leach field. There was a large circle of sand in the middle of the site, clearly covering over an RV septic tank. The smell of raw sewage was overwhelming when I moved the rocks and dug out the fire pit. The restrooms by the pool and offices were absolutely disgusting, and the facilities closest to our tent site were closed. On the last morning of our stay, the experience got worse! While I was using the restroom, a member of the housekeeping staff trying to clean the restroom repeatedly and impatiently asked “are you done yet?” And said that “I was taking forever”. I had maybe been on the toilet for 3-5 minutes at that point.I have a medical condition and sometimes things can take a while. She repeatedly harassed me and it was absolutely humiliating. There is NO reason ANYONE should EVER be rushed and asked to leave a restroom short of the building being on fire. When I exited the restroom she confronted me, shaking her head and ROLLING HER EYES in a very condescending and demeaning manor. At that point I demanded that she take me to her supervisor. Jason, the general manager handled the situation to the best of his ability. I was told that she would receive “extra training” regarding her behavior in the situation. In my option that staff member should have been terminated immediately. The entire ordeal was very upsetting, and I will never be back.
Aug 19, 2024 · Kip CassidyThis is a really nice Thousand Trails campground. We chose our spot and one of the gentlemen from the office helped us find it. In fact he had to take us around the park 2x because I felt uncomfortable making a turn we had to make, so he took us a different way which was really nice! The spaces had plenty of room for big rigs and we were in a spot that allowed us to easily use our Starlink dish. The ladies in the office are super nice. I would certainly stay here again!
Jun 24, 2024 · Rich PetrelliFor the price they charge for this place you would think it would be in tip top shape. The RV spaces are ridiculous!! Parallel park?? Very close quarters .Never seen such a thing. Fire pits are not cleaned out, grills are not cleaned… the bathrooms are not the cleanest. The water from the showers are not limited to just your shower. The laundry room is not clean. Two of the six washing machines broken down. $2.50 to wash and $2.50 to dry. This place makes me never want to join a Thousand Trails Rv place if this is how they take care of things. My advice to people is look for another place to stay!!
