This campground offers a fantastic location with a wealth of activities and amenities, making it an ideal destination for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Tims Ford Fairview Campground boasts a prime location in Middle Tennessee, renowned for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Situated near Tims Ford Lake, the campground provides easy access to a variety of water-based activities. Whether you enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water's edge, the lake offers something for everyone. The surrounding area is also rich in attractions, with the popular Devil's Step hiking trail being a significant highlight for those who love to explore on foot.
Based on customer feedback, the campsites at Tims Ford Fairview Campground are generally well-regarded. Many visitors have praised the quality of the facilities, specifically mentioning the clean bathrooms and the availability of hot showers. These essential amenities contribute significantly to a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience, allowing you to relax and refresh after a day of outdoor adventures.
For those interested in exploring the natural beauty of the region, the proximity to Devil's Step is a major draw. This scenic hiking trail offers breathtaking views and a chance to immerse yourself in the local landscape. It's a fantastic opportunity for a day trip or a morning hike, adding an extra dimension to your camping experience at Tims Ford Fairview Campground.
While many aspects of Tims Ford Fairview Campground receive positive feedback, some recent reviews have highlighted areas for potential improvement. One recurring concern relates to the parking of boats and extra trailers within the campground. Some visitors have noted that these parked vehicles occasionally occupy green spaces that could otherwise be used for recreational activities, such as children playing. It's worth noting that campground policies regarding parking can evolve, and it may be beneficial to inquire about current regulations when making your reservation.
Another point of feedback concerns the presence of underage children operating golf carts within the campground. For the safety and comfort of all guests, it's important for such activities to be conducted responsibly and with due consideration for pedestrians and cyclists. Similarly, the noise levels generated by side-by-side vehicles (mules/razors) have been mentioned as a potential disturbance for some campers. If you are particularly sensitive to noise, it might be prudent to inquire about any specific guidelines or quiet hours in place during your stay.
The cleanliness of the bath and shower house is generally praised, but one recent comment suggests that more frequent attention throughout the day could further enhance the guest experience. Maintaining these facilities to a high standard is crucial for camper satisfaction, and feedback like this can be valuable for the campground management.
For those who enjoy recreational sports, the presence of a volleyball area is a plus. However, a recent review pointed out the need for deweeding in this area to ensure optimal usability and enjoyment. Maintaining recreational facilities contributes to the overall appeal of the campground.
Finally, there was feedback regarding the online booking reservation system. One recent reviewer expressed a preference for the previous system, describing the new one as "terrible." While this is related to the online experience rather than the physical campground itself, a user-friendly booking process is an important aspect of customer service. It's possible that the campground management is aware of this feedback and may be considering improvements.
Despite these points for potential improvement, Tims Ford Fairview Campground continues to be a popular choice for those seeking "camping near me" in Middle Tennessee. The combination of a great location, access to Tims Ford Lake, and generally well-maintained amenities like clean bathrooms and hot showers makes it an attractive option. The proximity to attractions like Devil's Step further enhances its appeal to outdoor enthusiasts.

Tims Ford Fairview Campground Reviews
Great location in Middle TN! Lots to do in the area. Campsites are great, bathrooms clean, showers are hot, what more could you ask for!
Apr 09, 2025 · Mike SumrallFirst we always enjoy devils step. Have camped there many times. However..this stay was different. The boats and extra trailers were parked taking up green space for children to play and other enjoyment. Looked like a car lot. Always thought boat trailers were to be parked in the overflow outside of campground. The truck/boat parked on the side of camping spaces makes it very hard to back rv into spot. To many under age children driving golf carts not paying attention to other people walking and children on bicycles. And side by sides (mules/ razors are very noisy) Bath and shower house needs more attention throughout the day. the volleyball area needs deweeding. And please please put the booking reservations site back to the way it was… this new one is terrible..!!!
Oct 09, 2024 · Debbie LoganGreat place to stay. Spacious, serene, all amenities, including wifi. Some FHU, most E/W. We are close to the Lake with beautiful views. A definite redo.
Sep 24, 2024 · Peggy B.Decent experience and the camp ground was clean and what I would expect. First time camping at the RV campground. It was smaller than I anticipated and every spot was full of people. Obviously, several families came at the same time so that was great to see. Sharing food, all sitting by the camp fire and then going to their own camper/RV for the night. Wish the bathroom was larger with a shower. Enjoyed the spots with all hookups, water, electric and septic.
Sep 14, 2023 · Gregory YuhNice campground. About 2 miles of wooded bike or hike trails and water access. Beach area is nice . Lots are flat and spacious.
