Waitts Lake Resort and Cabins caters to a variety of accommodation preferences, offering both traditional campground sites and cabin rentals. This versatility makes it suitable for different types of travelers, from those who prefer tent camping or RV stays to those seeking the comfort and convenience of a cabin. While specific details regarding the number and types of campsites and cabins directly from official sources are limited, we can infer some common offerings based on the name and category:
- **Campground Sites:** These likely include individual sites suitable for tents and recreational vehicles (RVs). Depending on the park, these sites may offer varying levels of amenities, such as water and electrical hookups. It's advisable to contact the resort directly to inquire about the specific features of their campsites, including size, hookup availability, and whether they are pull-through or back-in sites.
- **Cabin Rentals:** The inclusion of "Cabins" in the name suggests the availability of more structured accommodations. These cabins likely offer a range of amenities, potentially including beds, kitchenettes, and private bathrooms, providing a more comfortable and convenient option for those who prefer not to camp in tents or RVs. The size and features of the cabins can vary, so direct inquiry is recommended.
Beyond accommodation, Waitts Lake Resort and Cabins likely offers a range of services and features to enhance the camping experience. Based on the location and customer reviews, these may include:
- **Lake Access:** As the name suggests, direct access to Waitts Lake is a primary feature. This provides opportunities for various water-based activities such as swimming, fishing, and potentially boating or kayaking.
- **Wildlife Viewing:** One reviewer specifically mentioned the lake being "filled with wildlife," indicating opportunities for observing local fauna in their natural habitat.
- **Fishing:** The same reviewer noted catching fish in the lake, suggesting that fishing is a popular activity for guests.
- **Proximity to Amenities:** The review mentions a "little store close by" for immediate needs and a Safeway supermarket located about 15 minutes away, offering a balance of convenience and a peaceful, somewhat remote setting.
- **Well-Maintained Grounds:** The reviewer's comment about the "sprinkler system that kicks on and sprays the trailer at 5 am" also notes that it "keeps the grass looking nice," indicating an effort to maintain the campground's appearance.
To gain a more nuanced understanding of Waitts Lake Resort and Cabins, it's essential to consider the experiences shared by recent visitors. Online reviews offer valuable firsthand perspectives on the campground's strengths and weaknesses.
One reviewer enthusiastically described their experience as "Great Air bnb hosts" and highlighted the "peace and beauty at the lake," indicating a positive interaction with the management and appreciation for the scenic environment. This suggests a welcoming atmosphere and a tranquil setting that aligns with the appeal of "camping near me" in a natural environment.
Another reviewer provided more detailed feedback, praising the "Beautiful, spaced out campground" and the "amazing" lake abundant with wildlife, including fish, a turtle, and even a turkey (all released). This reinforces the appeal for nature lovers and those interested in fishing and wildlife observation. The mention of a nearby store and a Safeway within a short drive adds to the convenience for campers needing supplies.
However, this same reviewer pointed out a significant inconvenience: "The only thing that has been frustrating is the sprinkler system that kicks on and sprays the trailer at 5 am, it's pretty loud." While acknowledging that it "keeps the grass looking nice," this early morning disturbance could be a concern for light sleepers or those who value uninterrupted rest during their camping trip. This highlights a potential area for improvement or something for prospective campers to be aware of.

- Clarify the check-in and check-out procedures and any specific rules or regulations of the campground.

Waitts Lake Resort and Cabins appears to offer a beautiful natural setting with opportunities for lake activities and wildlife viewing. The positive feedback regarding the hosts and the spaciousness of the campground is encouraging. The positive aspects of the scenic lake, wildlife, and friendly hosts, coupled with the convenience of nearby amenities, make it an attractive option for many. Waitts Lake Resort and Cabins Reviews
Great Air bnb hosts. Such peace and beauty at the lake. Great experience!
Aug 19, 2024 · Jesse KidwellBeautiful, spaced out campground. The lake is amazing and filled with wildlife. We have caught fish, a turtle and even a little turkey (all released) there's a little store close by for things you need or 15 mins away is a Safeway. The only thing that has been frustrating is the sprinkler system that kicks on and sprays the trailer at 5 am, it's pretty loud. But keeps the grass looking nice 👍 Glad we journeyed out of our way to this little piece of paradise.
Jul 12, 2024 · Kris KnuppJust spent the most amazing weekend in the cabin at the top of the hill. It was absolutely beautiful!!! The owners are the best and everything went without any problems. I would definitely highly recommend this cabin. Can't wait to go back!!!
Aug 28, 2022 · Jill rudeGreat camping facilities. Full hookups, clean and well maintained, price is a little steep so only gave them 4 stars. Also would be a great feature to have a fish cleaning station.
Sep 09, 2022 · D ClintonSpent a weekend here in our (40 ft) 5th wheel. Awesome campground! we were right by the water. Loading/unloading kayaks was a breeze. Full hookups, fire pit, a couple of trees for shade. A bit pricy, but we'll come here again.
