Wind Creek State Park Campground Reviews
Nice, very large campground with a number of full hook up sites. Sites are spacious but could use some TLC. There is a lot of construction going on making new spacious sites. Staff are very friendly. Interior roads are easy to navigate.
Mar 05, 2025 · Mark SchrimpfI've been very impressed with Wind Creek the last 2 years of camping here. I feel the staff is friendly and they do a great job of keeping things clean. I was there this past weekend and saw a large section was getting redone, which is needed every so often. Overall I think they do a great job of keeping the park update, one section at a time. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained as a family as well. Love this place- and it's only a 45 minute drive from Auburn which makes it really convenient for us.
Apr 21, 2025 · Philippe ScheysThey let us move next to hubby's brother since it hadn't been reserved for the weekend. That gave us a nice little beach where the water wasn't at full pool.
Mar 30, 2025 · Naomi OliverThere are some really nice things about this park. Plenty of swimming and fishing spots! Really nice picnic areas and pretty places to just walk and see things. The campground is OK. We really lucked out with our spot on E loop, it was larger and had more shade than many others. All of the water front spots must be reserved for and entire week, so those were not an option. This is also the most expensive campground in Alabama that I have found. 75 and change for 2 nights. Plus another 12 when i got here because kids have a second tent. For comparison, the grand canyon is 35 for 2 nights....Very nice play equipment, and a great naturalist program.
May 12, 2024 · Cecily CaudleAwesome camp! If you want water front, be sure to call and ask if the spot you want is water front or on a hill. But water entrance isn't every far away. Great staff, clean and A/C bathrooms in the E section.Just wish they had done where in the bathroom stalls to put a flashlight or a phone.
