Ashwood Village Introduce
This information is being presented to provide local users with details regarding Ashwood Village, located at 4 Locust St, Hopkinsville, KY 42240, USA. While the platform category is "RV parks near me," it is important to understand that Ashwood Village is listed as a mobile home park. Therefore, the following information will primarily focus on its nature as a residential mobile home community, while also considering its potential relevance for those seeking long-term RV parking options in the vicinity, albeit with significant caveats based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback received.
It is crucial to preface any introduction of Ashwood Village with a thorough and objective presentation of the severely negative feedback from individuals who claim to have been residents. This feedback raises extremely serious concerns about the living conditions, management practices, and overall suitability of this mobile home park. Potential residents or anyone considering any form of tenancy within this property are strongly advised to carefully consider the following accounts before making any decisions.
One former resident described Ashwood Village as the "Worst place I’ve ever lived." Their review details alarming allegations of the office staff intentionally obstructing rent payments when confronted with discrepancies, seemingly to create arrears. This individual strongly advises against cooperating with any inspections or similar activities initiated by the management and urges others to "Don’t waste your money!" and states that living there "Aint forth the headache!" The reviewer also expresses dissatisfaction with the corporate level management, deeming them "worthless" and emphatically advises others to "Don’t even come !" Their concluding statement, "Can’t wait to get away from here! 😭🤝🏾," poignantly underscores the negative experience.
Another former resident echoes the sentiment of dissatisfaction, stating that Ashwood Village is "Not worth the cost of rent." This reviewer raises significant health and safety concerns, alleging that "Many trailers have roaches." Furthermore, they claim that maintenance issues are not properly resolved but are merely "dr them up to look nice," indicating a superficial approach to repairs rather than addressing the root causes of problems. While this reviewer acknowledges that "The Office manager is very nice and so is her maintenance man bf," this positive interpersonal aspect is overshadowed by serious systemic issues.
Most concerningly, this second reviewer recounts a personal experience where unresolved maintenance issues led to the loss of their Section 8 housing assistance and forced them to move. They specifically mention having "many issues with my plumbing," highlighting a critical infrastructure problem within their dwelling. This account underscores the potential for significant negative consequences for residents due to the alleged negligence in addressing necessary repairs.
Given the severity and consistency of these negative reviews, it is impossible to provide a positive or encouraging introduction to Ashwood Village. The available information strongly suggests significant and potentially detrimental issues that potential residents, whether looking to rent a mobile home space or considering a long-term RV stay (if permitted), must be aware of. The allegations of intentional obstruction of rent payments, widespread pest infestations, inadequate and superficial repairs, and the potential for serious housing consequences due to unaddressed maintenance problems paint a dire picture of the living conditions and management practices at Ashwood Village.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," it is crucial to address whether Ashwood Village might be an option for RV users. Typically, mobile home parks primarily cater to manufactured homes on a long-term lease basis. They may not always have the infrastructure or regulations in place to accommodate RVs for extended stays, which often require specific hookups and site configurations. However, even if Ashwood Village were to offer long-term RV spots, the extremely concerning reviews regarding the park's management, living conditions (including alleged roach infestations and inadequate repairs), and overall negative resident experiences would necessitate extreme caution for any potential RV resident. The fundamental issues appear to be systemic and not limited to a particular type of dwelling within the park.
Prospective residents or RVers who might be considering Ashwood Village despite these stark warnings should undertake an exceptionally high level of due diligence. This would include:
- Conducting multiple unannounced visits to the property at different times of day and week to independently assess the conditions.
- Attempting to speak with as many current residents as possible (outside of the management's presence) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the living situation.
- Thoroughly investigating the ownership and management of the park, including any history of complaints or legal issues.
- Scrutinizing the terms of any lease agreement with extreme caution, seeking legal counsel to review the document before signing.
- Checking with local housing authorities, tenant rights organizations, and consumer protection agencies for any records or advisories related to Ashwood Village.
- Documenting all interactions and observations meticulously.
Given the nature of the feedback, providing any form of positive introduction regarding the environment, services, or features of Ashwood Village would be deeply misleading and potentially harmful. The overwhelming message from former residents is one of severe dissatisfaction, alleging unethical and potentially illegal practices, unsafe living conditions, and unresponsive management. Therefore, this response must serve as a serious warning based on the available customer feedback.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home living options in Hopkinsville, KY, are strongly urged to exercise extreme caution and thoroughly investigate the serious allegations presented in these reviews before even considering Ashwood Village. It would be prudent to prioritize their safety, financial security, and overall well-being by focusing their search on alternative properties with more positive and reliable reputations. The consistent and severe nature of the negative feedback suggests that Ashwood Village may not provide a satisfactory or safe living environment.

Ashwood Village Reviews
Worst place I’ve ever lived. The folks in the office will block you from paying when you catch them in a lie. Just for you to get behind. Don’t do nothing of the sort when they say they are doing any inspections or anything. Don’t waste your money! Aint forth the headache! Corporate is worthless as well. Don’t even come ! Can’t wait to get away from here! 😭🤝🏾
Oct 22, 2024 · Veri McGregorNot worth the cost of rent. Many trailers have roaches. Doesn't fix repairs completely just dr them up to look nice. The Office manager is very nice and so is her maintenance man bf. But I had a issue arise which costed me my section 8 and resulted in me having to move due to repairs not being fixed. I also had many issues with my plumbing.
Jan 27, 2023 · Bethany SimmonsEdit: Under new ownership. Moved out June 4, 2019. Lease ended May 30, 2019. Under new ownership and here it is Nov 6 still have not gotten my security deposit back. Renter beware!I love it here. The property is well cared for. Maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely manner. It is pet friendly which was a HUGE plus for me. I have just moved into another unit and the manager was very nice about working with me to find something I could afford on my income in the community. Water, garbage, yard care all included in the rent. A very nice place to live. Come check out what's available if you are looking for a new place to rent!
Nov 06, 2019 · grniidmnstr channelLove what you did to that community. The upgrade is wonderful and pleasant. The playgrounds for the kids is a plus. Thank you for all you have done to make it a better place to live for low income families. God bless you all for your efforts. Again thank you and have a blessed day in the name of Jesus.
Dec 30, 2021 · Donnie PettusThey DO NOT FIX ANYTHING all they do in the office is hang out. THEY ARE NEVER OPEN to be able to speak to anyone in person. Rent is too high to not EVER be able to get anything fixed in a timely manner. Not a bad neighborhood and beside the management I have had a good stay.
