This is our last stay here. It was so bad, we voluntarily forfeited our deposit for a return trip and stayed elsewhere. What use to be an affordable, well maintained park, has turned into a beat down, dumpy looking, not maintained parking lot. No fresh paint on anything, landscaping (??) is nothing but weeds, grass needs mowing, and the dog park filthy. Mid-calf high grass in the dog run is not conducive to anything positive. They put me and my 39 ft fifth wheel on an end lot with no way to make the turn to exit the property. Simply enough to back up and start over, but the 7 other EMPTY sites where I could be placed would have made it much easier. You also arrive (with scheduled reservations) to find a 4-5 page document to sign and return. No thanks. Not going to sign a document which appears on arrival after a long day of travel, especially when terms and conditions are already accepted online and monies paid will not be refunded. The first noise from the trash dump across the road started at 4:45am this last visit. We'll see the typical Corporate response here about how they will take this advice seriously, but I left a review last year, was asked to send a note to an email address for f/u, did so, and over a year later.......nothing. Nothing is what you get at this property unless they make some changes. - Keith Hathaway

Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney Introduce

If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Clarksville, Tennessee area, Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney, located at 1270 Tylertown Rd, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While it offers a notable advantage for pet owners, concerns have been raised regarding the park's maintenance, amenities, and management practices, which potential local users should carefully consider.

One of the primary benefits highlighted in the reviews is the park's pet-friendly policy. Specifically, it is mentioned that the other main RV park in Clarksville has restrictions on "aggressive breeds," making Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney a welcoming option for owners of such dogs. One reviewer stated, "at least I can be with my pups," emphasizing the importance of this inclusive pet policy. For RVers traveling with breeds that may face restrictions elsewhere, this park offers a significant advantage.

Another positive aspect mentioned is the quiet atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The same reviewer who appreciated the pet policy also noted "Very quiet neighbors and friendly staff," suggesting a peaceful environment within the park and positive interactions with the park personnel. A quiet setting can be appealing to those seeking a relaxing stay, and friendly staff can contribute significantly to a positive overall experience.

However, the positive feedback is counterbalanced by significant negative reviews that raise concerns about the park's current condition and management. One reviewer, indicating it would be their "last stay here," described a stark decline from what was once an "affordable, well maintained park" to a "beat down, dumpy looking, not maintained parking lot." Specific issues highlighted include a lack of fresh paint, landscaping consisting of "nothing but weeds," unmowed grass, and a "filthy" dog park with "mid-calf high grass in the dog run." These descriptions paint a picture of a park that is not being adequately maintained, which could detract significantly from the overall experience and the enjoyment of the outdoor spaces.

Further operational concerns were raised by the same dissatisfied reviewer regarding site assignment and check-in procedures. They recounted being placed on an end lot with a 39-foot fifth wheel that made exiting difficult, despite the availability of seven other empty sites that would have been more suitable. This suggests potential issues with site planning and a lack of consideration for the specific needs of different RV sizes. Additionally, the reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction with being presented with a "4-5 page document to sign and return" upon arrival, especially after already accepting terms and conditions online and paying non-refundable fees. This practice was deemed unwelcome after a long day of travel, indicating a potentially cumbersome and off-putting check-in process.

Environmental factors also contributed to a negative experience for one reviewer, who noted that "the first noise from the trash dump across the road started at 4:45am this last visit." Proximity to a trash disposal facility could lead to early morning noise and potentially unpleasant odors, which would negatively impact the tranquility of the park.

Perhaps most concerning is the feedback regarding the management's responsiveness to complaints. The severely dissatisfied reviewer mentioned leaving a review the previous year and being asked to contact an email address for follow-up, which they did. However, "over a year later.......nothing" had been done. This lack of follow-through and action on reported issues suggests a potential disregard for customer feedback and a lack of commitment to addressing problems within the park. The reviewer concluded that "Nothing is what you get at this property unless they make some changes," indicating a significant level of dissatisfaction and a lack of confidence in the park's current management.

Despite the name "Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney," one reviewer honestly stated, "It's not fancy and I honestly wouldn't call it a resort." This suggests that the park may not offer the level of amenities or the overall experience typically associated with an RV resort. Potential local users should manage their expectations accordingly and focus on the basic services provided, while being aware of the reported maintenance issues.

Given the conflicting reviews, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of the services and features of Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney. While it offers essential utility hookups (presumably water, electricity, and sewer at each site), the negative reviews highlight a lack of maintenance of common areas like the dog park and landscaping. The absence of positive mentions of other amenities, coupled with the negative comments, suggests that the park may have limited offerings beyond the basic site hookups and the pet-friendly policy. There is no mention of facilities like restrooms, showers, laundry, a clubhouse, or recreational areas in the provided reviews.

Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. Local users interested in the current rates, availability, and any potential discounts for Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney should contact them directly at (931) 774-7901 or +1 931-774-7901. It would be prudent to inquire about the park's current condition, the status of any planned improvements, and their policies regarding site assignments and check-in procedures based on the recent negative feedback.

In conclusion, Clarksville RV Resort By Rjourney in Clarksville, Tennessee, offers a pet-friendly option that is particularly welcoming to owners of breeds restricted by other local parks. It also boasts a quiet atmosphere and friendly staff, according to one reviewer. However, significant concerns have been raised by another reviewer regarding the park's poor maintenance, potentially difficult site assignments, a cumbersome check-in process, noise from a nearby trash facility, and a lack of responsiveness from management to reported issues. Potential local users should carefully weigh these contrasting perspectives and consider their priorities when choosing an RV park. If a pet-friendly policy is paramount and basic services are sufficient, this park might be an option, but it is strongly recommended to inquire about the current conditions and management practices before making a reservation.
