Austin Lone Star Introduce
Looking for exceptional 'rv parks near me' in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas? Consider Austin Lone Star RV Park, a well-regarded destination offering a comfortable and amenity-filled stay for families and travelers alike. Located conveniently at 7009 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78744, USA, Austin Lone Star RV Park provides a range of features and services designed to enhance your camping experience. Based on feedback from recent visitors, the park boasts remarkably clean facilities, enjoyable recreational amenities, and a generally friendly and helpful staff, making it a strong contender in the Austin RV park scene.
As a prominent option within the 'rv parks near me' category, Austin Lone Star RV Park stands out for its dedication to providing a positive and secure environment for its guests. The park has received accolades for the cleanliness of its facilities, particularly the shower house, which visitors have described as "super clean." This commitment to hygiene is a significant factor for many travelers when choosing an RV park, and Austin Lone Star appears to prioritize this aspect of guest comfort.
For families traveling with children, Austin Lone Star RV Park offers appealing recreational options. The presence of a clean and well-maintained pool, with what one guest described as "the perfect temp," provides a refreshing escape, especially during the warm Texas months. Additionally, the park features a "nice game room" where kids can enjoy movies and other forms of entertainment. This dedicated space allows for indoor fun, providing a welcome alternative to outdoor activities, especially during less favorable weather conditions. The suggestion from a young visitor for another "big kid swing" indicates that the park already offers some outdoor play equipment, further catering to families with children.
The staff at Austin Lone Star RV Park has also garnered positive feedback, with several reviewers highlighting their friendliness and helpfulness. Lindsay at the front desk was specifically mentioned for her excellent service. Furthermore, the groundskeeper is described as a "cheerful friendly guy" who is consistently working to maintain the park's lovely grounds, which are noted for having "lots of trees," providing shade and a pleasant aesthetic. This positive interaction with staff members can significantly enhance the overall guest experience, contributing to a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
The park offers practical amenities that contribute to a comfortable and convenient stay. One reviewer specifically praised Mary at the front desk for her exceptional ability to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction. The availability of "nice and shaded" sites is another significant advantage, particularly during the hot Texas summers, offering a welcome respite from the sun. Guests have also appreciated the sense of space at their sites, noting that they did not feel "sardined in," a common concern at some campgrounds. The proximity to diligently cleaned restrooms was also highlighted as a positive aspect.
Security is another feature that Austin Lone Star RV Park prioritizes, with guests noting that the campground is gated, which contributed to their feeling of safety during their stay. This added layer of security can provide peace of mind for travelers, especially those who are unfamiliar with the area.
In terms of communal amenities, Austin Lone Star RV Park offers a "community area" equipped with a TV, ping pong table, pool table, and a selection of DVDs available for rent. This space provides opportunities for socializing and recreation, allowing guests to unwind and connect with fellow travelers. Additionally, the presence of a "small business area" with a computer and printer is a valuable asset for those who need to stay connected or handle any work-related tasks while on the road.
While the majority of the feedback for Austin Lone Star RV Park is positive, one significant drawback mentioned by a reviewer is the heavy traffic in the surrounding area. Guests should be prepared for potential delays when returning to the campground, as "you will be sitting in traffic every time you need to get back." This is an important consideration for those planning to explore Austin and the surrounding areas, as travel time to and from the park might be longer than anticipated, particularly during peak hours.
The review also mentioned an initial negative interaction with a staff member, described as a "young lady with short hair and glasses" whose name was thought to be Lyndsey. The reviewer felt that this individual was unhelpful and dismissive of their initial issues. However, this negative experience was ultimately resolved by Mary at the front desk, who was praised for her effectiveness and dedication to customer satisfaction. This highlights the importance of clear communication and the potential for varied experiences with different staff members.

Its clean facilities, including the shower house and pool, enjoyable game room, shaded sites, and secure gated environment are significant advantages. The friendly and helpful staff, particularly Mary at the front desk, contribute to a positive guest experience. Austin Lone Star Reviews
My family loved staying here! The shower house is super clean, the pool was clean and the perfect temp, and they had a nice game room. My kids watched movies in the game room and played in the pool non stop. All of the staff is so nice! Lindsay at the front desk was great, and the groundskeeper was a cheerful friendly guy and was always busy. The grounds are lovely and there’s lots of trees. The only thing they can do to improve is add another “big kid swing” (per my kids) 😆 We will be back!
Oct 13, 2024 · Andrea HerbertPROS: Mary at the front desk is super awesome. We had some issues when we first got there, but she was able to fix everything and make us happy. Our site was nice and shaded. We did not feel sardined in like a lot of spots are at campgrounds. We were right across from the restrooms, and I must say, they are very diligent at cleaning them and making sure they are ready for use. We appreciated that the campground was gated and made us feel safe. There was a pool and a community area with a TV, ping pong table, pool table, and DVDs for rent. There was also a small business area with a computer and printer for any of your office needs. That came in handy.CONS: The traffic is an absolute nightmare. You will be sitting in traffic every time you need to get back to the campground, so be prepared. The person we initially had an issue with was the young lady with short hair and glasses at the front desk, I think her name was along the lines of Lyndsey. She could not be bothered with any of our issues. She definitely took the lazy approach by telling us nothing could be done, which ended up being a total lie. If you have problems, you need Mary. She gets the job done.
Nov 14, 2024 · PaigeWe were only here for one night. The weather was cold, windy, and rainy so we couldn't really enjoy what was here. I really appreciated the fenced in large, clean pet park since we travel with two dogs. They have artificial turf inside it that's really nice to keep the dogs clean on a rainy day.
Feb 20, 2025 · Joan JensenI'm a frequent flyer here. Once we find a place we like, we commit. There's nothing to dislike. Gated, quiet, friendly staff, well kept landscape, spacious areas, plenty of shade, conveniently located near a plethora of food varieties and shopping, less than 10 minutes from downtown....I can keep going.
Aug 22, 2024 · Frank Walker (1 Degree Therapy)Such an amazing location if you’re looking to be close to Austin. Ten to fifteen minutes to most shopping. We stayed here for about a year and truly loved every moment. The facilities are pristine and the staff is so friendly. Very shaded and quiet!
