Bexley MHC Introduce
For individuals and families exploring housing options in the Petersburg, Virginia area, particularly those searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on long-term residency, **Bexley MHC** (Mobile Home Community) at 7421 Canterbury Rd, Petersburg, VA 23805, USA, offers a distinctive and often economically viable solution. It's important to clarify that while the search category might broadly include RV parks, Bexley MHC is specifically a mobile home park, designed for permanent or extended stays in manufactured homes rather than transient recreational vehicle camping. This focus shapes its environment, services, and community features, making it a unique residential offering in the region.
The **environment** of Bexley MHC is consistently described as a notably "quiet" place to live. This tranquility is a significant draw for residents seeking a peaceful residential setting away from the intense hustle and bustle. While the presence of "kids/teenagers playing" is acknowledged, it appears to be within the bounds of normal neighborhood activity rather than disruptive noise. A highly reassuring aspect of the park's environment, as highlighted by a resident, is the absence of serious criminal activity: "No violence in here.. no shootings or gang activities." This commitment to safety and security is further bolstered by the observation that "Alot of people in here have cameras so that helps," suggesting a community that actively participates in maintaining its own safety. This collective effort, combined with the overall peaceful atmosphere, contributes to a secure and comfortable living environment. The park's location on Canterbury Road places it within Petersburg, a city with its own rich history and community feel, providing residents with access to local services, shops, and other amenities, while still maintaining a secluded and quiet residential atmosphere within the park itself.
In terms of **services and features**, Bexley MHC provides the fundamental infrastructure for mobile home living. This typically includes lot rentals where residents place their manufactured homes, with essential utility hookups such as water, sewer, and electricity readily available. While detailed amenity lists (like community centers, playgrounds, or pools) are not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, the primary service is the provision of a secure and maintained lot for long-term residency. A standout feature, as consistently praised by residents, is the role of the park manager, Angie. She is described as "amazing," doing "great with the tools that she is given," and keeping "the property immaculate." Her responsiveness is highly valued, with residents noting that "every time I call she responds promptly and takes care of any questions I have." This level of accessible and diligent management is a critical service that significantly enhances the resident experience, ensuring that concerns are addressed and the park remains well-kept. The long tenure of some residents, with one mentioning living there for "4 years now," speaks to the stability and contentment found within the community.
A significant **feature** of Bexley MHC is its affordability. As one resident aptly puts it, "Its a cheap place to live compared to some other places.. with anyplace that is below $600 a month to live you are gonna have lower standards of living." This objective assessment highlights that while the cost of living is a major advantage, residents should set realistic expectations regarding luxury amenities often found in higher-priced communities. Despite the lower cost, the park prioritizes fundamental safety and peace of mind, as evidenced by the lack of serious crime. This balance of affordability with a secure and quiet environment is a key characteristic. The presence of a dedicated and effective manager like Angie, who maintains the property "immaculate" and is highly responsive, further elevates the perceived value, especially within an affordable housing context. The community also benefits from a low turnover rate, fostering a stable environment where neighbors are familiar with each other, contributing to the sense of security and community. The fact that the park is described as having "no violence... no shootings or gang activities" is a significant feature that directly addresses a major concern for anyone seeking a safe place to call home.
For **promotional information**, Bexley MHC would effectively appeal to those searching "RV parks near me" who are looking for a permanent, budget-friendly, and secure mobile home community in Petersburg, VA. Bexley MHC Reviews
Its a cheap place to live compared to some other places.. over all its quiet except for kids/teenagers playing. No violence in here.. no shootings or gang activities. Alot of people in here have cameras so that helps. But no place is perfection. I lived in BMHC for 4 years now. Angie does great with the tools that she is given. With anyplace that is below $600 a month to live you are gonna have lower standards of living. With being said... I never heard guns going off or people being beat down in the streets.
Aug 27, 2024 · Benjamin DossI bought a mobile home in Bexley a year ago and have had absolutely no problems. Angie the manager keeps the property immaculate, every time I call she responds promptly and takes care of any questions I have. She is amazing.
Mar 19, 2024 · Monica WilkersonJust moved a friend out of this mobile home park. It was told to me that there were gunshots heard in there every night. My friend was scared to live there. The place is not well kept. I'm so glad my friend is in a safe area now and out of that mobile home park.
Feb 04, 2024 · Jennie BakerWater great nice neighbors it has it wears and tears but that's anywhere the manager she is awesome. So I'm sorry if anyone feel anyway about it but it's a place to lay your head.
Mar 15, 2024 · Latasha RoseTerrible disgusting place to live would not recommend to anyone. You either have to deal with lose dogs or teenagers vandalizing your car or house or them twerking in the street and won’t let you pass to get to your home. They charge you for nasty well water that they have to constantly poor bleach into yet it still smells like sewage. They can’t keep a a manger and when they have one they don’t do anything unless it involves them getting money, that’s all they care about. The rent increase every year to help pay for improvements to the park yet all they have done is paint the curbs.
