Big Oaks River Resort Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Inglis, Florida area? Big Oaks River Resort, located at 14035 W River Rd, Inglis, FL 34449, USA, presents an interesting case as a development that appears to encompass both traditional residential housing and potentially options for RV living. While one review focuses on the developed housing within the resort, another provides a direct experience of renting an RV on-site. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the limited available customer feedback, highlighting the environment and services as described.
A Well-Regarded Residential Neighborhood
One reviewer describes Big Oaks River Resort as a "really nice development" featuring a range of housing options from "average family home to really sweet mini mansions." This suggests that a significant portion of the resort is dedicated to permanent or semi-permanent residential living. The reviewer also notes that the neighborhood is "well kept" with "yards maintained and attractive," indicating a community that takes pride in its appearance. Having visited family within the resort multiple times, the reviewer's overall impression is of a "nice neighborhood overall," suggesting a pleasant environment for residents.
Potential for RV Living: Long-Term Rentals
While the first review focuses on the housing aspect, the second review provides insight into the RV living options at Big Oaks River Resort. This customer "rented a rv for 750$/ Month" with an additional deposit, indicating that long-term RV rentals are indeed offered. This positions Big Oaks River Resort as a potential option for those seeking extended stays in the Inglis area, falling under the category of "RV parks near me" offering more than just short-term camping.
Cleanliness Concerns in Rental RVs
However, the experience of the RV renter raises significant concerns regarding the cleanliness of the rental units. The reviewer reported that upon moving into the RV, it "wasn’t clean at all," citing specific issues such as "dead bugs all in the kitchen and bathroom," "old crumbs" on surfaces, and an unswept floor. Despite a $100 cleaning fee being deducted from the deposit, the condition of the RV upon arrival was unsatisfactory. The reviewer further stated that contacting management about these issues resulted in being told that "nothing can be done," leading to a negative experience and a "would not recommend" rating.
Limited Information on Services and Features for RVers
The provided reviews offer limited details about the specific services and features available for RV renters at Big Oaks River Resort. Based on the information available, we can infer the following:
- Long-Term RV Rentals: At least one RV was available for monthly rental.
- Utility Hookups: As it was a rented RV for long-term stay, it likely had standard RV hookups for water, electricity, and sewer, although this is not explicitly stated.
- Residential Environment: RV renters would be situated within a larger residential development with well-maintained common areas (based on the neighborhood review).
Information regarding specific RV park amenities such as dedicated RV sites, bathhouses, laundry facilities, or recreational areas specifically for RV guests is not provided in these reviews. It is unclear whether the RV rentals are integrated within a specific RV park section of the resort or are interspersed with residential properties.
Environment: A Mix of Residential and Potentially RV Areas
The environment of Big Oaks River Resort appears to be a blend of a well-maintained residential neighborhood and areas designated for RV living (specifically long-term rentals, based on the available feedback). The positive review of the residential section suggests an attractive and cared-for overall environment. However, the negative experience with the cleanliness of the rented RV indicates a potential disparity in the standards maintained across different types of accommodations within the resort.
Promotional Information: Not Available
The provided customer reviews do not contain any information regarding specific promotional offers, discounts for long-term RV rentals, or any incentives for new residents or RVers. Individuals interested in learning about current rental rates, availability, and any special deals should contact Big Oaks River Resort directly at (352) 447-5333 or +1 352-447-5333.
Conclusion: Consider Residential Appeal but Inquire About RV Specifics and Cleanliness
Big Oaks River Resort in Inglis, FL, presents a mixed picture for those searching for "RV parks near me." The development appears to have a well-maintained and attractive residential section, suggesting a potentially pleasant overall environment. The availability of long-term RV rentals indicates that it caters to more than just traditional housing. However, the significant issue raised regarding the lack of cleanliness in at least one rented RV and the unhelpful response from management is a serious concern that prospective RV renters should consider carefully. If you are interested in a long-term RV stay at Big Oaks River Resort, it is crucial to contact management directly to inquire about the specific amenities and services available for RVers, the condition of the rental units, and their policies regarding cleanliness and addressing tenant concerns. While the residential aspect seems appealing, the experience of the RV renter suggests a need for thorough investigation and clear communication before committing to a stay.

Big Oaks River Resort Reviews
Really nice development. Houses range from average family home to really sweet mini mansions. Well kept neighborhood. Yards are maintained and attractive. Have visited a family there several times and just seems like nice neighborhood over all.
Jan 30, 2021 · Cindy VanlueRented a rv for 750$/ Month and 750$ deposit, was told that 100$ would be taken out for a cleaning fee. Upon moving into the rv it wasn’t clean at all, had dead bugs all in the kitchen and bathroom, old crumbs were on the kitchen counter and floor wasn’t swept. I called and texted management and got told that nothing can be done. Would not recommend!
Jul 05, 2022 · Treyvon LoganThis place and Aurora are run by slumlords. Connie seemed nice at first until she was paid. Don't give them your credit card! Black mold galour! Water damage so bad you can fall through floor, maggots on kitchen floor first morning of vacation, everywhere sewer flies, disgusting water you can't brush your teeth with. I left quickly and took the loss! Health Department should shut them down.
Sep 20, 2020 · Ruth KuhnLiving here now. Seems quiet. Security is always on duty. They keep the place cleaned up and have a swimming pool which seems to get used quite a bit. They are animal friendly. The only downside is that you really need transportation. It's a long walk to the stores.
Jun 14, 2019 · Gail. A. WhiteAt first when i lived there it was fine, people where so nice we only had a issue with one neighbor. Then within a year when that rain storm hit, the neighborhood wouldn't stop smelling bad. Plus we lost power for 6 days and it wasn't any fault. The landlord was always yelling at my friends when we would hang out in the neighborhood pool which was on for that trailer park! DON'T MOVE THERE PLZZZ
