Inglis Lakeside RV Park Introduce
When you're on the road and searching for "RV parks near me" in the Inglis, Florida area, Inglis Lakeside RV Park, located at 10050 State Hwy 40, Inglis, FL 34449, might appear as a potential option. With a listed phone number of (352) 221-9052 and a mobile contact of +1 352-221-9052, it seemingly offers a convenient stop for RV travelers. However, it's crucial to delve deeper into what recent visitors have experienced to gain a comprehensive understanding of what this park offers.
Based on the available customer reviews, it appears that while Inglis Lakeside RV Park might serve as a basic overnight stop in terms of safety, those seeking an immersive camping experience with well-defined amenities and picturesque surroundings may need to consider other options. One positive aspect mentioned by a reviewer was the park's willingness to provide a refund for unused days when the guest decided to leave early. This suggests a degree of customer service orientation in certain situations.
However, other reviews highlight several significant areas of concern. One recurring issue is the lack of clear signage upon arrival, leading to confusion about where to go and check-in. This lack of initial guidance can be frustrating for weary travelers, especially if phone calls to the management go unanswered, as reported by one guest who had to seek assistance from a seemingly permanent resident.
The description of the "waterfront" sites also appears to be a point of considerable disappointment for at least one visitor. Despite paying extra for a waterfront spot, the guest described the water as being heavily covered in vegetation to the point of being visually obscured. Furthermore, the proximity of neighboring campers, including a long-term trailer situated very close to the reserved site and another camper positioned right by the front window, detracted significantly from the expected privacy and spaciousness of a waterfront location. The unusual placement of the sewer connection at the site added to the dissatisfaction. This experience led the reviewer to feel "duped and catfished," suggesting a significant discrepancy between expectations set by potential online listings (implied by the mention of misleading photos) and the reality of the actual campsite.
Another concern raised was the condition and accessibility of the boardwalk mentioned as leading to clear water. One guest felt unable to use it, perceiving it to be within a private residential area, thus creating a sense of intrusion. This highlights a potential lack of clear demarcation between guest areas and long-term resident spaces, which can impact the overall comfort and usability of the park's features for short-term visitors.
Further negative experiences include being moved from a pre-booked and extra-paid site due to alleged sewage issues, only to arrive late and find no clear indication of the assigned spot due to a lack of lot labeling. The subsequent assignment to a 50-amp site when a 30-amp connection was needed resulted in a night without electricity, relying on a generator in cold weather. Attempts to contact the management to resolve these issues were met with an automated message stating the number was unreachable and ignored text messages, indicating significant communication challenges. The unexpected and unannounced shut-off of water further compounded the negative experience for this guest.
The lack of an on-site office is also mentioned as a "huge red flag" by one reviewer, potentially contributing to the difficulties in communication and issue resolution. The sentiment expressed across multiple reviews is one of significant dissatisfaction, with one guest explicitly stating they were "not happy at all" and another feeling that the situation was "slowly moving towards scam."
It is worth noting the single positive comment regarding the friendliness of the residents. While this can contribute to a sense of community, it does not mitigate the concerns raised about the site conditions, management communication, and the accuracy of the park's representation.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" and considering Inglis Lakeside RV Park, it is strongly recommended to approach with caution and conduct thorough due diligence. This should include:
- Directly contacting the management: Attempt to reach them by phone to inquire about current site availability, amenities, and to address the concerns raised in the reviews. Pay attention to the responsiveness and clarity of their communication.
- Requesting detailed information and recent photos of specific sites: Given the discrepancies reported between expectations and reality, it is crucial to ask for up-to-date images of the actual site you would be renting, especially if you are looking for a waterfront or specific type of hookup.
- Clarifying the location and accessibility of amenities: Inquire specifically about the bathhouse, boat ramp, boardwalk, and any other advertised features to ensure they are easily accessible and in good condition.
- Understanding the park's policies on site assignments and changes: Given the experience of being moved without prior notification, it's important to understand the park's procedures in such situations.
- Considering alternative RV parks in the vicinity: Explore other options in the Inglis area that may have more consistently positive reviews regarding site quality, amenities, and management responsiveness.
While Inglis Lakeside RV Park's location might be convenient for some, the recent customer feedback highlights potential issues that could significantly impact the quality of your stay. It is essential to weigh these concerns carefully against your individual needs and preferences when making your decision about where to park your RV.

Inglis Lakeside RV Park Reviews
First I would like to say that the campsite gave me a refund on the days that I didn't stay there when I left early. If you are looking for a safe place to stop for the night, this place will work I guess. If you are looking to camp and enjoy the surroundings, my opinion is to move on. I didn't feel unsafe, but I didn't want to hang out outside my camper either. I know they said there was a bathhouse but I never saw it. No one to ask where it was. I did see a boat ramp but it wasn't near my site. When I first arrived I was very lost. No signage to tell you where to go. I ended up asking someone that looked like they lived there where to go because no one answered my phone calls.I was shocked when I found my "waterfront" spot I paid extra to keep. There was water but it had so much vegetation on it that you couldn't see it. One side of the site was a long term trailer that was about 5 feet from my camper. On the other side was the end of another camper. Basically, right at their front window. The sewer connection was in a weird spot for a trailer also. I was extremely disappointed. Had I seen images of the actual sites I wouldn't have stayed there. I was in someone's grass front yard. No pad or gravel. There was a boardwalk along the vegitation leading to the clear water, but I didn't feel like I could walk on it. It looked like it was in someone else's yard and I'm not looking to be in someone else's space.I had to waste one of my free days moving. I felt duped and catfished. I probably should have asked for all of my money back but I was forced to stay over the weekend until a spot opened up elsewhere. At least the residents were nice.
Feb 24, 2025 · Angela WeldyI'm not happy at all! First, we didn't know we were "moved from the spot we paid extra for "because of sewage issues"until we called to tell them we would be coming in late. Then we get here, not knowing if we are even in the right space because not all the lots are labeled! Then, to find out the spot they moved us to is a 50 amp! We need a 30 amp. So we plugged in the water and used the generator to pull the slide out and slept in the cold with no electricity. ONLY to wake up and call them to figure all of this out. Just to instantly get an automated message saying this number can't be reached at the moment. I received an automated text saying to text them with any immediate questions or concerns just to be ignored! This is beyond unprofessional!Went to brush my teeth. Guess we what water is now off! No warning no nothing. Not to mention, the photos of the park itself on the website are pretty much a cat fish. I understand new management, but this is beyond new management issues and is slowly moving twords scam the longer i dont get a call back from them. And Them not having an office is also a huge red flag all in all not happy at all.
Jan 14, 2025 · Cecilia BetzMy house flooded in hurricane Helene. A friend of mine forwarded something from Facebook, and it was an advertisement to rent a studio apartment in the RV park. I had problems getting out of my hotel in Gainesville the day I was supposed to meet someone to show me the apartment, and I missed the appointment. From the very beginning I got next to no communication from the person who seems to be in charge of this process, Angela something. I tried to rebook the appointment I had missed and I got the answer that he could meet in the morning with no time attached to it. It was exactly what I had been getting from her all along. Vague worthless answers that didn't help me at all. Then I sent messages back trying to see what time "in the morning meant". I got nothing but vague information again from this irritable woman. I can't believe she's allowed to have this job. I called directly to Inglis lakeside RV Park and Angela, the same woman answered. She immediately started giving me trash mouth again on the phone, so I hung up on her and I blocked her and I deleted the property that I had been interested in. Great job at losing business for your employer. I would never do business with this RV park even if it was the last one around. I would have never called them in the first place if my house hadn't been damaged. If you decide to rent from this place, good luck to you. Maybe this RV park doesn't really need business. That's a good thing because that's exactly what it's going to get. I knew from the very beginning when I was not getting responses to any of my questions that there was a problem with this place. Good luck to you if you decide to try and rent something here. It's not worth it. Just move on to something better with someone who has some professionalism.
Oct 01, 2024 · Linda S (LindaS)It was a great place with some minor issues but over all a good community.....until the new owner came in, over all their intentions are good but they fail when it comes to communicating with their tenants. I hope the place will improve and I hope the current property manager remembers those who while living there caused no issues and tried to at least keep the place clean.
Jun 23, 2024 · RayListing seemed very misleading. But it was very quiet. Wouldn't recommend or go back.
