Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 Introduce
Are you currently searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Brea, California area? Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31, located at 1051 Site Dr, Brea, CA 92821, USA, is a mobile home park that has elicited varied responses from its residents, as indicated by online reviews. For local users considering this community for long-term RV or mobile home living, it is essential to consider both the positive and negative feedback to form a comprehensive understanding.
One long-term resident, who has lived in Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 since 2012, provides a detailed account of their experiences. Initially, the rent was $950.00, but they have experienced annual rent increases, including one instance of a $181.00 increase in a single year. This consistent upward trend in rent is a significant concern for this resident, who fears it will soon become unaffordable, especially as they are on a fixed income.
Beyond rent increases, this resident also reports issues with utilities and maintenance. They mention a recent $325.00 expense for a gas leak, which the park did not cover. Additionally, they incurred a substantial $17,000 plumbing cost. They suspect that their location at the end of the sewer system in their section, which requires pumping and emits an unpleasant odor, may have contributed to these plumbing problems. This issue was initially indicated by a significant rise in their water bill, from a usual $30.00 to nearly $130.00.
The resident also expresses disappointment with the lack of improvements in the park over their twelve years of residency, contrasting this with a perceived increase in the noise level, particularly from pets barking, and instances of street parking. They describe the park owners as "quite greedy" and note that many residents share concerns about the rising rent. Furthermore, they mention the installation of "unsightly" utility boxes in front of homes and the upcoming change in management, the impact of which remains to be seen. Overall, this long-term resident expresses significant disappointment with the park's decline and finds the financial pressures distressing, particularly on a fixed income. They also mention unpermitted subletting within the park and the absence of solar panels as factors contributing to high utility costs.
In contrast, another reviewer offers a more positive perspective, describing Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 as a "Lovely mobile home park, not ghetto or drug infested! Very well kept and nice citizens amount that community.." This feedback highlights the park's aesthetic appeal and the positive social environment among some residents. The reviewer also notes the absence of age restrictions for living within the park, which they consider a plus, suggesting a diverse community that welcomes families and individuals of all ages.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 appears to be a community with both positive and negative aspects. On the one hand, it is described as lovely, well-kept, and having a nice community of residents without age restrictions. This could be appealing to those seeking a visually pleasant and welcoming environment in Brea.
However, the detailed account from a long-term resident raises significant concerns regarding the financial stability of living in the park due to consistent and substantial rent increases, potential issues with infrastructure and maintenance (such as sewer problems and utility disruptions), the park's response to these issues (e.g., not covering gas leak repairs), and the perceived lack of reinvestment in the community despite rising costs. The noise level from pets and street parking are also noted as negative aspects.
For individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' and considering Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 for long-term RV living, it is crucial to weigh these factors carefully. The positive review suggests a visually appealing and socially pleasant community for some, while the negative review highlights potential financial burdens and maintenance concerns that could significantly impact the quality of life.
Prospective residents should contact the management at (714) 529-4131 or +1 714-529-4131 to inquire about current RV space availability, rental rates, lease terms, and park rules and regulations. It would be prudent to ask specific questions related to the concerns raised in the negative review, such as the history of rent increases, the park's policies on utility maintenance and repairs, infrastructure upkeep (including the sewer system), noise control measures, and parking regulations.
Visiting the park in person to assess the environment, the condition of the facilities, and the overall atmosphere would also be a valuable step. If possible, speaking with current residents (beyond those who have posted online reviews) could provide additional insights into the day-to-day living experience at Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31.
For those on a fixed income or with concerns about rising living expenses, the history of rent increases reported by a long-term resident should be a significant consideration. Understanding the park's policies on rent adjustments and the potential for future increases is crucial for long-term financial planning.
In conclusion, Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 in Brea, CA, offers a mixed picture for those seeking 'RV parks near me'. While it is described as lovely and well-kept with a nice community and no age restrictions, significant concerns have been raised by a long-term resident regarding consistent rent increases, potential maintenance issues, utility problems, and the park's management practices. Prospective residents should carefully consider these factors and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the management and a visit to the park, before making a decision about living in this community.

Crestmont Mobile Estates SO 31 Reviews
We have lived here since 2012. The rent then was $950.00. We have had a rent increase every year. We had a charge of $181.00 one year. No rent increase. We had a gas leak today and had to pay $325.00 today. The park would not pay for it. We also recently spent $17,000 on plumbing. We are at the end of the sewer system in our section and it has to be pumped, it stinks. I have a feeling this may have caused plumbing issues. It started with the increase of our water bill.It is $30.00 usually and it climbed to almost $130.00. The biggest complaint I have is the rent increases yearly. Soon it will be too expensive to live here. The park has changed a lot since we first came here. The noise level is loud. Especially people with pets. Their dogs bark constantly. People park in the street. There has not really been too many improvements in the twelve years we have lived here. The owners are quite greedy. I know we are not the only ones concerned with the rent. This year they are putting in utility boxes which are unsightly in front of the house. We are getting a new manager. We shall see how that goes. I am really disappointed in this mobile home park. We lived at a senior park in LaHabra that was less expensive. It was also very nice. We were forced to move to a family park after living there two years with no problems. The mobile home park has gone downhill as far as I am concerned. We are on a fixed income and find all of this very distressing. People are subletting their homes and it is not permitted. No one has solar panels, so we cannot decrease our utilities. It's distressing with the probable increase in gas and electric. Our gas bill will be sky high with the leak. Hopefully something will give soon. I do not want to be one of the many homeless in this state.

Oct 27, 2023 · Krissy PorterIve been living here for about three years and I’m quite happy. The new owners replaced my carport driveway after noticing it was a safety hazard. I never had to bother Bill or Jeri about it. They just got it done. My neighbors are friendly and the park is extremely quite at night. The space rent has gone up but that is not all bad. It’s still much lower than the nicer apts in town and with the hikes the people who moved in or stayed seem to value their homes more than some parks. There has been a boom in home improvements all over the park. As for the management, Bill is efficient and friendly and isn’t one to go on power trips like other park managers. Jeri is always friendly and easy to work with. So, it’s not the cheapest park to live in but unlike Lake Park you don’t feel like you live in an abusive HOA. And this is Brea, so maybe not the town to live in if you are on a tight budget anyway.
May 23, 2022 · Raven MoonVery Very Very well maintained Park. The place is always kept up, trees nicely cut, no litter. Since the Managers and Asst. Manager aren't there anymore this is a lot of work for 1 Person to do. Im not sure how he does it all, but if I were the Owners, Id make sure he stays there. You wont find a harder and more dedicated worker than Darrin when it comes to Crestmont. He will even do a side job here and there for the Residents, at a reasonable price.
May 02, 2020 · Karma EricaI have lived here and still do for over 15yrs, it is the nice park around...the people that live here all know each other and look out for one another. As space rent goes yes it is a bit higher then most but its worth it..they keep up the grounds, pool, club house.. and more..we have been number 1 for many years..if your thinking about moving here you would not be disappointed!!! true the best place to live...
