Dutch Valley RV Park Reviews
I've been here almost 3 years and now LOVE being here!!! This hidden gem will go fast!!! Get in here while spots are available!!! The new owners have made the very needed improvements to the park within less of a week than the old owner did in 5 years. The new owner took down the trees that needed to come down asap, took care of the sewage, the roads, and more. He is running it in a professional manner, as it should be. Taking care of business. It is a wonderful place for camping, for spending time with friends and family. Close to nature and lots of outdoor activities, but also close to modern conveniences. Large sites nestled in trees with squirrels, rabbits, chimpumks, birds, deer, and other wildlife. A clean pool, extremely clean bathrooms, easy walking trails with a pond (with fishing that is catch and release), activities, and more... and they are just getting started😊😊😊 Come check out, you won't regret it.

Jul 12, 2024 · Sue EvansThe campgrounds were overly friendly at first. I was in a bind and needed a place i could quickly move into. They had a "free" trailer I could have. I looked at said camper & took pictures. After taking a closer look at the free camper., the following weekend. It was completely engulfed in black mold from one end of the camper to the other end. However, in those pictures I took , I saw a blue generator, and specific items left by the previous owners. Upon going back the following weekend, to do a further inspection. The blue generator was missing and numerous other items.I inquired about the generator. The office seemed hush hush about it. I declined the "free" camper. Suddenly the office was not so friendly. LOL they thought it was dumb enough to accept a dumpy camper so that I would do ALL the dirty work for them. LMAO. Wrong !Looked at another camper Dave Burton tried to scam me out of $7000. at a 2008 camper but the water damage was located in one specific area. Not bumper to bumper.I laughed at that price. He went down to $5000. I laughed again & stated that's hard NO. I offered $1000.00. SoldNumerous times I called the office to inquire about getting some hired help with my camper. Even posted on their "little private FB" page offering jobs. Needling hired help with the handyman jobs. No one ever took the job on. So I hired outside help. The neighbors sneered and laughed at my project. Also, found the paper work to the previous owner Jamie Wilson. Which the campground claimed he walked away from. Seemed highly unlikely. Also neighbor said there was a blue portable washer/ dryer set was missing out of that camper went missing as well.I later flipped the 2008 camper for a brand new 2025 camper from Camping World. So now who's laughing??? Bet they didn't see that coming 😂🤣😂The neighbors across the way are also partying several nights a week, obnoxiously being loud and throwing beer bottles. The electric was ALWAYS going out. Same with the water pressure. The shared water faucet is a joke ! Joanne & her son are cordial and respectful. There's a few nice folks in there. But there's also so racist people in there as well. I seen how they reacted to people of color coming into the campgrounds. About 50/50. I seen how they treated a Hispanic person on their FB page, coming in. Didn't welcome them at all. Like 2 people welcomed them, including myself. The same person posted anonymously. Then 24 people welcomed them.Overall, meh the campground served it weak feeble purpose for me. They be shady AF ✌️And to whom ever stole my brand new sewer flex hose, the hose that came with my 2025 BRAND NEW CAMPER..... LMAO enjoy 🤣 so glad have moved out ! ✌️
Jan 31, 2025 · Tamyjo LynnI have to say I had high hopes for this place with the reviews about how the new owners are cleaning it up.. but, unfortunately, they didn't meet our expectations. I won't go into details as the campground knows the issues but suffice it to say that they fell far short of what would be considered clean! We were supposed to be getting a yearly site but there was only a leaky black plastic pipe for water supply and we were told over 100 foot heated hose for winter?! There was a lot of screws, nails and other debris from the removal of the abandoned trailer that was in the site before that was not cleaned up and the site wasn't level at all. The very large, dead branch was still hanging above the site even after the owner was notified... and while the people that we encountered we all very nice the condition of the site left us with no other option but to cancel our reservation... they refused to refund the deposit for the site as well... I do hope that with time the place will be better managed but I doubt their standards will ever be up to par.Let this serve as a warning to anyone that gets excited over the cheap price... you get what you pay for! Sad really because it can be a beautiful place if it was managed properly.
Aug 01, 2024 · Cheryl V.This campground used to be a wonderful place to visit not for the campground but for the people there. We had a permanent site there for 7 years and just left due to the changes being made with the new owner along with a lot of others. We are no longer a campground family a lot of good people are leaving. We thought having a new owner would make this place better but it’s not.The yearly prices went up a lot without much justification. When you question to much they delete you from there FB page or threaten to kick you out. They are fixing the electric, water and sewer and also cutting down dead trees but never compensated people for all the times people went without these amenities ( no electric or low water pressure) And had to cut there weekends short or lost there campers when dead trees fell on there campers. They expect people to pay 5 percent of the sale of there campers before new owners can move in even if they had no part in the sale of your camper. I can see why if they actually are needed to show it. But will not honor your deposit being returned though. The people who work in the office are rude and expect the campers to plan activities instead of hiring someone to do it. The playground is right next to the road and in need of repairs. They have 2 totaled campers near the pond for years which are eyesores. The owner says something one day and changes his mind the next. If they post something on their FB site they should answer the peoples questions not ignore them or delete them. The future of this campground is so unpredictable but were told if we don’t like it leave which a lot are doing. If you’re looking for a permanent site or weekend camping I would suggest looking elsewhere. Somewhere that gives you more for your money.
