This is a ~50 dollar RV park in Denver—you get 50 dollar service. We had to have a late arrival and the lady was kind enough to let us email the required documents as we would arrive after hours. We booked an electric site but when we back in, there was a padlock on the sites pedestal. We tried to call the number on the papers but no one answered—so unfortunately we had to go without. And though we were considering a second night, we opted to continue with the trip. The bathrooms were boiling hot inside and could use a deep clean. You can also share some loving eye contact with the bathroom stall next to you while you’re going #2 if you so choose.All-in-all, the park was quiet. Getting checked in after hours was fine. It gets the job done. - VDms_

Flying Saucer RV Park Introduce

Flying Saucer RV Park is located at 2500 W Hampden Ave, Sheridan, CO 80110, USA. Situated within the Denver metropolitan area, this RV park can be found by those searching for 'RV parks near me'. They can be contacted at (303) 789-1707 or +1 303-789-1707 for inquiries and reservations. Based on the available customer reviews, Flying Saucer RV Park appears to be a budget-conscious option with a range of experiences reported by visitors.

One reviewer characterizes Flying Saucer RV Park as a "~50 dollar RV park in Denver," suggesting it positions itself as an affordable choice. They add the caveat that the service received aligns with this price point. This sets an initial expectation that while the park may be economical, the amenities and service might be basic.

Another reviewer shares a positive aspect of their experience, noting that the management accommodated a late arrival by allowing them to email the required documents beforehand. This indicates a degree of flexibility and helpfulness in certain situations.

However, this same reviewer also encountered a significant issue upon arrival at their booked electric site: the pedestal was padlocked, rendering it unusable. Attempts to contact the provided phone number were unsuccessful, forcing them to spend the night without electricity. This negative experience influenced their decision to not extend their stay for a second night, despite initial consideration. This incident highlights potential issues with site readiness and after-hours support.

Further concerns are raised regarding the park's facilities. The bathrooms are described as "boiling hot inside" and in need of a "deep clean." Additionally, this reviewer humorously points out a lack of privacy in the bathroom stalls, where "loving eye contact" with the occupant of the next stall is possible. These comments suggest potential inadequacies in the maintenance and comfort of the communal restrooms.

Despite these drawbacks, the same reviewer notes that the park was generally quiet and that the after-hours check-in process was smooth. They conclude that Flying Saucer RV Park "gets the job done," implying a basic level of functionality despite its shortcomings.

A more critical review focuses on the park manager, Anna, who is described as "very rude." This reviewer recounts an interaction where, despite having all the required items (paperwork, heat tape, insulated bucket for the water hose), Anna allegedly lectured them extensively about the park's water system freezing, leaving the reviewer feeling "put off and disrespected rather than feeling welcome." This negative pre-arrival communication led the reviewer to be "glad that this dump showed their true colors" before finalizing their stay, emphasizing that they had never been spoken to in such a manner during their extensive full-time RV living experience. This strongly suggests potential issues with the park's customer service and management's interpersonal skills.

Adding to these concerns, the reviewer notes that the owner's response to feedback seems to prioritize blaming others over improving their own customer service, which they find "very telling." This observation suggests a potential lack of accountability and a resistance to addressing customer concerns constructively.

Considering these reviews, Flying Saucer RV Park appears to be a budget-friendly option for those seeking 'RV parks near me' in the Sheridan/Denver area. Its affordability may come with certain trade-offs, including potentially basic amenities, maintenance issues (particularly with the bathrooms), and inconsistent or negative interactions with the management. While the park may offer quiet surroundings and a functional place to park for the night, the reported issues with electric site availability, bathroom conditions, and manager rudeness are significant drawbacks to consider.

For RVers seeking a longer stay or those who prioritize amenities and customer service, Flying Saucer RV Park may not be the most suitable choice based on the available feedback. The negative interaction with the manager, in particular, suggests a potentially unwelcoming atmosphere. The unaddressed issue with the padlocked electric site also raises concerns about the reliability of the park's infrastructure and the responsiveness of the management to resolving problems.

Potential visitors should weigh the park's apparent affordability against the reported negative experiences. If a low price point is the primary concern and basic functionality is sufficient, Flying Saucer RV Park might be considered for a short stay. However, those seeking a more comfortable, well-maintained, and welcoming environment may want to explore other 'RV parks near me' in the Sheridan or Denver area, even if they come at a higher cost.

Given the significant concerns raised about the management's rudeness and the park's maintenance, it would be prudent for potential guests to contact Flying Saucer RV Park directly to inquire about the current conditions of the facilities, the availability and reliability of services (like electric hookups), and the park's policies regarding reservations and after-hours support. While the online reviews provide valuable insights, speaking directly with the park might offer an opportunity to get clarification or a more current perspective. However, the feedback regarding the owner's response to criticism suggests that potential customers should be prepared for a possibly defensive or dismissive attitude.

In conclusion, Flying Saucer RV Park in Sheridan, Colorado, appears to be a budget-oriented option for RVers in the 'RV parks near me' category. While it may offer a quiet environment and facilitate late check-ins, potential drawbacks include potentially unclean and uncomfortable bathrooms, issues with the availability of booked services (like electric hookups), and reports of rude and unhelpful management. The negative customer service experiences, in particular, should give prospective guests pause. It is recommended that those considering Flying Saucer RV Park carefully weigh the potential cost savings against the reported issues and consider alternative RV parks in the area that may offer a more positive and reliable experience.
