Mitchell's Mobile Home Court Introduce
Located at **5555 W 16th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214, USA**, **Mitchell's Mobile Home Court** offers a residential option within the city of Lakewood, Colorado. While the platform category "RV parks near me" might bring up various temporary and long-term recreational vehicle options, it's essential to understand that Mitchell's Mobile Home Court primarily serves as a community for manufactured homes, providing a more permanent and stable living solution. For individuals and families seeking affordable housing in the Denver metropolitan area, particularly in Lakewood, this community may be a consideration. You can reach out to the management directly at **(303) 233-9923** or **+1 303-233-9923** for inquiries.
The **environment** at Mitchell's Mobile Home Court presents a complex and evolving picture based on resident feedback. Lakewood, a western suburb of Denver, offers residents a blend of urban conveniences and access to natural beauty, including numerous parks, recreational facilities, and proximity to the Rocky Mountains. The park's location is notably "Great location, right near Sloan's Lake," which is a significant amenity, offering opportunities for outdoor recreation, walking, and enjoying a vibrant neighborhood. This proximity to a desirable urban park is a strong positive for the community's external environment. From an internal perspective, a former resident who lived there from February to November 2015 noted that it "looks even better (cleaner) now" upon a recent visit, suggesting improvements in the physical upkeep of the park over time. This indicates a positive trajectory in terms of cleanliness and appearance. However, the same past resident provided a significant "word of caution," stating that at the time of their residency, the park was "fairly populated and 'run by' meth addicts, drunks and hookers so the police were there a lot." This serious concern about the resident population and safety is reinforced by another review from a self-described "old and vulnerable" individual who stated, "I wouldn't feel safe living here," citing that "Parts of this park are okay. Other sections are trashy and run down." This conflicting information paints a picture of a park with desirable external location benefits and some internal improvements in cleanliness, but with significant underlying social and safety concerns that vary across different sections of the park. Prospective residents should understand that while the physical appearance may be improving, the social environment might present challenges, particularly for vulnerable individuals.
Regarding **services** and **features**, Mitchell's Mobile Home Court provides the fundamental infrastructure for manufactured home living, including individual lots with essential utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity). The primary service is the provision of leased land for homeowners. A notable positive aspect of the management, according to the former resident, was Patty King, described as "the best 'landlord' I ever had." The review states, "If she's still there, it's likely a great place to park/live with your trailer." This indicates that effective and supportive management can significantly enhance the resident experience. The park also features an on-site "Laundry room was always kept clean," which is a valuable amenity for residents. However, a significant "service" gap highlighted is that residents "need to know something about your trailer and hooking it up to the lot, they don't (didn't?) offer assistance and you're basically on your own as far as 'moving in'." This implies a lack of support for new residents regarding the practical aspects of setting up their mobile homes. For those using "RV parks near me" to find a long-term living solution, understanding that this community primarily caters to manufactured homes and may require self-reliance in the move-in process is important. While basic utilities are provided, the extent of additional support services for residents seems limited beyond a clean laundry facility. The mention of "parts of this park are okay" and "Other sections are trashy and run down" further suggests inconsistency in maintenance and upkeep, which can be considered a failure in providing equitable services across the community.
The community's structure as a mobile home court means that residents typically own their mobile homes but lease the land they occupy. This offers a more affordable entry point into homeownership compared to traditional site-built homes in Lakewood. However, the social dynamics and safety concerns, as described by residents, are critical features that cannot be overlooked. The presence of law enforcement frequently due to alleged illicit activities creates a challenging living environment. This directly impacts the perceived safety and tranquility of the community, which are key aspects of a desirable residential setting. While the positive mention of a specific manager suggests that individual leadership can make a difference, the broader systemic issues indicated by the negative reviews require careful consideration by any prospective resident. The lack of move-in assistance is also a practical feature to be aware of, as it places a greater burden on new residents.
In terms of **promotional information**, Mitchell's Mobile Home Court can be presented as an affordable housing option in a desirable Lakewood location, particularly appealing due to its proximity to Sloan's Lake and general improvements in cleanliness. For individuals and families seeking a potentially lower-cost entry into homeownership in the Denver metropolitan area, manufactured homes here offer that opportunity. Lakewood itself provides a robust environment with diverse employment opportunities, excellent schools, and a wide range of recreational and cultural attractions. The city offers easy access to downtown Denver and the vast outdoor activities of Colorado. However, any objective introduction must also address the significant social and safety concerns raised by current and former residents. For those exploring "RV parks near me" and considering a long-term manufactured home, it is imperative to conduct thorough due diligence. This includes visiting the community multiple times at different hours, speaking with current residents if possible, and directly inquiring with management about safety measures, resident screening processes, and plans for addressing social issues. While the physical improvements are a positive sign, the historical and ongoing concerns about the resident population and safety require careful consideration to ensure that the community aligns with one's personal safety and living expectations. The contrasting reviews highlight the need for a nuanced understanding of this particular mobile home court.

Mitchell's Mobile Home Court Reviews
Lived there from Feb to Nov, 2015 So, I can't really speak to how it is now (went by very recently and looks even better (cleaner) now). The woman who was in charge, Patty King, was the best "landlord" I ever had. If she's still there, it's likely a great place to park/live with your trailer. However, word of caution, it was at the time, fairly populated and "run by" meth addicts, drunks and hookers so the police were there a lot. You need to know something about your trailer and hooking it up to the lot, they don't (didn't?) offer assistance and you're basically on your own as far as "moving in". Laundry room was on site and always kept clean. Great location, right near Sloan's lake. Aside from the residents, it's great!
Jan 26, 2019 · TrēvaParts of this park are okay. Other sections are trashy and run down. I wouldn't feel safe living here, mainly because I am old and vulnerable.

Jun 12, 2017 · Golden Terrace PropertyNo experience just what I have seen. Very sad the City of Lakewood does nothing to clean up and assist this community.
