Ridgewood Mobile Home Park Introduce
Ridgewood Mobile Home Park is located at 6825 W Mississippi Ave # 100, Lakewood, CO 80226, USA. With contact numbers (303) 922-2821 and +1 303-922-2821, this community may be of interest to individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Lakewood area, particularly those seeking a senior living environment. However, the available customer reviews present contrasting perspectives that potential residents should carefully consider.
One reviewer identifies Ridgewood as "supposed to be a SENIOR MHP" (Mobile Home Park) but expresses doubt about this designation. They recount their experience of moving in January 2021 with a lot rent of $679, which included trash pickup but no other amenities. This reviewer highlights significant yearly rent increases, stating that by April 2025, their lot rent will have risen to $929, marking a $250 per month increase over four years. They attribute the ownership to a "California investment company, PCP" and note "decaying infrastructure" and what they perceive as less than great in-park management in many respects. They also mention that new move-ins are facing rents of over $1000 per month. This reviewer suggests an alternative senior community, Ridgeline at River Run in Englewood, praising its better maintenance, amenities (remodeled clubhouse, in-ground pool, resurfaced roadways), and management that "care and invest in their properties," with lot rentals just slightly above Ridgewood's and including water. The reviewer laments the decline of Ridgewood, attributing it to a change in in-park management after the previous manager retired, and expresses a desire to move to the suggested alternative but finds it financially challenging due to the income limitations often faced by seniors.
In contrast, another reviewer who claims to live at Ridgewood offers a much more positive experience. They state that buying a home in this senior park was a pleasant surprise, describing their neighbors as youthful in spirit and the managers as knowledgeable, effective, and possessing a good sense of humor. This reviewer notes that the park is clean and features a clubhouse open to all residents (and available for private parties). They recommend considering purchasing a home in Ridgewood if one becomes available, highlighting the convenience of nearby shopping, dining, and theaters.
These two reviews present a stark contrast in the perceived quality of life and management at Ridgewood Mobile Home Park. One reviewer experienced significant rent increases, infrastructure decline, and management they found lacking, while the other found the community delightful, well-managed, and convenient. The discrepancy could stem from different experiences, changes over time (as suggested by the first reviewer regarding management), or individual perspectives.
For individuals seeking 'RV parks near me' with a preference for a senior community and potentially long-term stays, Ridgewood Mobile Home Park warrants careful consideration due to these differing opinions. The first review raises concerns about affordability due to increasing lot rents, the condition of the infrastructure, and the quality of the management. The lack of specific amenities mentioned in this review, such as a clubhouse or pool, contrasts with the positive description of amenities at the suggested alternative, Ridgeline at River Run.
The second review, however, paints a picture of a clean, friendly senior community with a clubhouse and convenient access to local amenities. This positive feedback suggests that some residents have a very favorable experience at Ridgewood, appreciating the sense of community and the management.
Given these conflicting accounts, it is crucial for potential residents to conduct their own thorough investigation. For those specifically looking for a senior RV park, it would be essential to confirm Ridgewood's official status as a senior community and any age restrictions for residency. Inquiring about the current lot rents, the frequency of rent increases, the condition of the infrastructure (roads, utilities), and the amenities available to residents would be vital. Asking about the management's responsiveness to resident concerns and their long-term plans for the park could also provide valuable insights.
Prospective residents might also consider visiting Ridgewood Mobile Home Park to assess the environment firsthand. Observing the overall condition of the park, the interactions between residents (if possible), and any visible amenities could help them form their own opinion. If the opportunity arises, speaking with current residents (outside of the management's presence) could offer additional, unbiased perspectives on life in the community.
For those who prioritize amenities and a well-maintained environment, the comparison with Ridgeline at River Run provided by one reviewer is noteworthy. Investigating this alternative in Englewood might be a worthwhile step for seniors seeking a more amenity-rich community, despite the potential financial challenges of moving. However, it is important to conduct due diligence on Ridgeline at River Run as well to ensure it meets individual needs.
In conclusion, Ridgewood Mobile Home Park in Lakewood, Colorado, presents a complex picture for those seeking 'RV parks near me', particularly within a senior living context. While one reviewer describes a declining community with increasing rents and management issues, another portrays it as a delightful and well-managed senior park with a strong sense of community and convenient location. Potential residents should carefully weigh these contrasting perspectives, directly inquire with the management about current conditions and policies, and ideally visit the park to make an informed decision. The significant rent increases reported by one reviewer are a crucial factor for seniors on fixed incomes to consider, as is the alleged declining infrastructure. Conversely, the positive experience of another resident highlights the potential for a pleasant living environment. Further investigation is strongly recommended to reconcile these differing views and determine if Ridgewood Mobile Home Park is the right fit.

Ridgewood Mobile Home Park Reviews
This is supposed to be a SENIOR MHP. I beg to differ. I moved in January of 2021 at $679 for the lot including trash pickup. No amenities. Increases yearly. As of April of 2025, my lot rent will be $929... an increase of $250 a month more over a four year period. Owned by yet another California investment company, PCPDecaying infrastructure and in park management isn't that great in many respects. New move ins are over $1000 a month, if not more. Four years ago it was $680. For a much better maintained senior community, I'd suggest Ridgeline at River Run in Englewood,. Just south of Route 285 (Hampden) Many amenities including a remodeled large clubhouse and in ground pool. All new resurfaced roadways and also owned by a Calif investment company. They care and invest in their properties along with lot rentals just above Ridgewood's and includes water in rental fee. They're rebuilding their park to be the Premier Senior MHP in the Denver metro area and doing a great job at it. I wish I could afford to move and buy a new place there. Problem with senior MHP's is that incomes are low so trying to make a move is next to impossible. It's terrible to see a MHP decline so fast. It was great untill in park management changed and previous manager retired.
Jan 25, 2025 · David VotavaI live here and buying our home in a senior park wasn't what we were ready for. Was I ever wrong. It's delightful, our neighbors never grew up and the managers know and do their job very well, all the while having a great sense of humor. The park is clean with a clubhouse open to all, (private parties too). If you can find a coach for sale here, give it some thought. Shopping, dining, theaters, it's all here.
Aug 22, 2018 · Deano Eugene SmithLived here just over a year. Very nice, clean, quiet & well maintained. Friendly neighbors and staff.Great location, just south of Belmar shopping center, so close & easy access to grocery, restaurants, theater, shopping.Glad to live here!
Mar 27, 2019 · Thomas FoxOnce I signed on the dotted line I found out this is not truly a retirement community... under the age of 55 can move in but once I signed on the dotted line that was it ...if I would have known ahead of time I Never would have moved here... I was told they would fix the concrete since it is cracked and people can fall since the outside is the property owners responsibility they came and measured and I thought it was going to be done and it still is not complete a year and a half later also was told they were going to repair the fence they said the guy would be out on Friday well that was almost a year ago I guess they didn't tell me which Friday right? Also was promised 4 parking spots... Then when the snow came they told me I only have three spots to park 4 vehicles because they had to put the snow in that other spot which is ridiculous they can put the snow there but I can't park my vehicle there it doesn't make sense... And the man plowing the snow puts it all on my side and his side is totally clear which I have a picture of... Then the man that plows the snow stands in his window with his underwear on not one time but five times and the managers can't do anything about this I find unprofessional... That same man comes off his porch drunk and smelling of alcohol and confronts my boyfriend about something trying to push my boyfriend into doing something so that we could get in trouble and this man represents the park that's a dirty shame... I've been living on my own over 30 years and this is the Worst place I've ever lived... I do not recommend this place At All whether temporary or permanently to live!!!
May 20, 2022 · Maria ManchegoBeautiful place, very well maintained. I have several friends who have been there for years and enjoy the neighborhood. Not your typical looking trailer park.
