Glen Oaks Mhp & RV Park Introduce
For those searching within the "RV parks near me" category in Fort Pierce, Florida, Glen Oaks Mhp & RV Park, located on Juanita Avenue, presents a mobile home and RV community with contrasting recent reviews. One resident describes a positive experience characterized by peace, quiet, a friendly neighborhood, and a helpful manager. In stark contrast, another detailed a deeply negative experience alleging unprofessional management, issues with utilities, and severe accusations of discriminatory behavior and a hostile environment.
A Peaceful and Friendly Neighborhood Experience (According to One Review)
One reviewer shared a positive account of their time at Glen Oaks, stating, "My experience at Glenoaks has been peaceful quiet friendly neighborhood." They further elaborated that "Everyone that lives here is pleasantly helpful seems they enjoy knowing you can feel safe and enjoy the beautiful scenery alongside Taylor Creek." This paints a picture of a welcoming community where residents feel secure and appreciate the natural surroundings. The reviewer also specifically commended the manager, Cory, as "professional" and dedicated to maintaining the neighborhood's cleanliness and safety, noting that Cory "works above beyond." This positive feedback suggests that for some residents, Glen Oaks offers a desirable living environment.
Taylor Creek Scenery
The mention of "beautiful scenery alongside Taylor Creek" indicates a potential natural amenity for residents of Glen Oaks Mhp & RV Park. Proximity to a waterway like Taylor Creek could offer opportunities for scenic walks, wildlife viewing, and a generally pleasant environment. For those searching "RV parks near me" who value natural surroundings, this could be an appealing feature, assuming access and enjoyment of the creek are readily available to residents.
Allegations of Terrible Management and Unprofessional Conduct (According to Another Review)
In stark opposition to the positive review, another customer reported a "Terrible" experience at Glen Oaks. This review alleges significant issues with the management, describing them as "unprofessional." The reviewer detailed a situation where they paid for two weeks prior to arrival and then experienced a lack of power for two days after arriving. This raises concerns about the reliability of services and the responsiveness of management to essential needs.
Serious Allegations of Discrimination and a Hostile Environment
The same negative review goes on to make very serious allegations of discriminatory behavior. The reviewer states that their terminally ill wife was "being talked about in a manner that is not only sad but hateful," and they attribute this to assumptions made based on the race of her caregivers and visitors. According to the review, the management and possibly other residents allegedly assumed drug activity was occurring due to the racial identity of the individuals providing care and support to the reviewer's wife, including pastoral council, friends, and home health aides. The reviewer recounts instances of neighbors complaining and even yelling accusations at a visitor. These are grave accusations that, if accurate, indicate a severely unwelcoming and discriminatory environment within the park.
Accusation of Wrongful Eviction
Further compounding the negative experience, the reviewer alleges that despite having paid in advance and experiencing a utility outage, they were given short notice to leave the park, being told they would be trespassing within one week. The reviewer argues that this action was not only legally questionable but also morally reprehensible, particularly given their wife's terminal illness and the alleged discriminatory motivations behind the request to leave. This paints a picture of a management that is perceived as unjust and uncaring by at least one customer.
A Call for Attention to Prejudice and Hate
The reviewer explicitly states their intention to draw attention to the alleged "disgusting, labeling, impact" of the management's behavior on their terminally ill wife, emphasizing the feelings of being "unwelcome, but discriminated against, and downright hated because of the color of skin of her home health team." They express their intent to seek legal recourse, including contacting the Americans with Disabilities Association (ADA), to address the alleged prejudice, ignorance, and intentional hate they experienced. This review serves as a strong warning for potential residents to carefully consider these allegations.
Lack of Information on Amenities and Services
Beyond the conflicting reviews regarding management and community atmosphere, the provided information offers limited details about the specific amenities and services available at Glen Oaks Mhp & RV Park. Typically, RV and mobile home parks may offer features such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, pet policies, and utility hookups. The absence of this information makes it difficult to provide a comprehensive comparison with other options in the "RV parks near me" category. Potential residents would need to inquire directly with the park to obtain a full list of available amenities and services.

The specific location on Juanita Avenue would determine the immediate surroundings and accessibility to shopping, dining, and other services. Glen Oaks Mhp & RV Park Reviews
My experience at Glenoaks has been peaceful quiet friendly neighborhood. Oct 19, 2024 · Tami TippinsTerrible. The managers are unprofessional, we paid two weeks prior to our arrival, and then had no power now after being here two days. Then, my wife, who is terminally ill and unable to leave the house is being talked about in a manner that is not only sad but hateful and I hateful condition of the human heart. They are saying things that I would never ever assume or say about another individual that is terminally ill fighting for their life having pastoral council visiting her daily, friends, home health aides, all happening to be of a different race therefore it is assumed that there is drug activity going on . I have never been more saddened in all my life nor more disgusted. After having three visitors all of being related to her care as she is unable to leave the home,we were contacted by management stating that there was too much drug activity and traffic coming to the house but really the real problem was it was the skin color of the traffic coming to the house. Numerous residents complained as they sat back and assumed as my wife received care and prayer that the black men visiting were not her health team but drug dealers! They even went so far as to yell out at one of them as they left from bringing her groceries that he was a drug dealer, he happened to be white. We were then told within hours that despite the fact that they had already rented to us weeks prior, cast our check, and have left us without power for 2 days in a cold front with a disabled person that needs electricity for a device that she has to have plugged in, we are being asked to leave or we are trespassing within one week! Now, this is wrong not only on a legal level but a moralistic level. As I watch my surroundings of this neighborhood I too could assume many things, none of which I would like to name here because hate begets hate and negativity begets negativity. My point and posting this review is to draw attention to the disgusting, labeling, impact that they have had on my terminally ill wife that is fighting not only for her life but for peace while she is still here and has made us feel not only unwelcome, but discriminated against, and downright hated because of the color of skin of her home health team. I would never recommend this park to anyone, I am contacting legal services in my wife's behalf particularly the Ada (americans with disabilities association), and we'll put a voice we'll put a spotlight on this travesty of not only prejudice, ignorance, intentional hate, and to draw attention to the effects that it is having on my wife and my family. What a sad sad day in America!
Dec 02, 2020 · Owen ArthurIt's just a big mobile home park in one circle. Unfortunately when I lived there, drugs were rampant. However, it's close to (3 or 4 miles) from downtown Ft. Pierce and the North Hutchinson Island beaches and the beautiful inlet. There are decrepit shuffle courts and a huge clubhouse that is set in time and no one uses. It's not for transients.
Jun 09, 2023 · Valerie WilliamsOn the fence about this 55 plus community that is under new management all the time. The underlying issues here are discriminatory children that have yet to develop social skills necessary to co habitate closely with other people. The owners son, plays into the role of social worker gone bias, in terms of professional standards. Keep in mind, park, if you would even call it that is close to a very unsavory place in fort pierce. I was a tenant here for almost 8 months, with my own RV, there are only 4 RV spots. I was made to feel so uncomfortable, unwelcome and yelled at. For example, the old men would gather at a table outside directly across the street from me when my pastor and my family came to visit me. They yelled at them, derogatory names yet were all drunk AMD high. The cops do not even like coming into this place. 1 washer 1 dryer. That is it!!! No perks, and no neighbors that you would want to have as such. Maybe 1 lady, and they belittle and pick on her as encouraged by the way the head guy, son of owner, plays the part. Really, he makes his job so hard that he cannot manage it. The people will call of you cough too loud, and 55 year old men tattletaling on themselves isn't my idea of a good time. I'll post another review if things improve.
Jun 19, 2021 · Shannon Cummings (CEO, SLC Solutions)It is ok with xcept the manager has NO clue how to run a park! Took our money and tried to say he didn't get it all and we have the receipt. He then cussed at my husband and it was very negative from the start
