Glenwood Village Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," it's important to understand that online platforms may sometimes include listings for mobile home parks, catering to a different segment of the housing market. While RV parks typically offer temporary accommodations for recreational vehicles, mobile home parks provide long-term or permanent housing solutions, often with a strong sense of community. This introduction focuses on Glenwood Village, a manufactured home community located in Warrenton, Oregon, specifically identified as a senior adult park. We will explore its environment, potential services, and features based on its location and the available customer reviews.
Location and Environment in Warrenton, Oregon
Glenwood Village is situated at 90971 US-101 UNIT 45 in Warrenton, Oregon 97146, USA. Warrenton is located on the northern Oregon Coast, near the mouth of the Columbia River and adjacent to the city of Astoria. This coastal setting offers residents access to the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, including beaches, waterways, and lush greenery. The US-101 is a major coastal highway, providing connectivity to other towns and attractions along the Oregon Coast.
One of the customer reviews highlights the unique environmental aspects of living in Glenwood Village, mentioning the presence of nearby land where cows and elk can be seen. This suggests a setting that blends residential living with the natural surroundings of the Oregon Coast, potentially offering a quieter and more rural atmosphere compared to more densely populated areas. The reviewer also describes the park as "beautiful and clean," indicating a well-maintained environment that residents appreciate.
It is important to note a crucial piece of information from another review: "FYI This is a senior adult park." This designation significantly shapes the community's environment and the services and features it may offer. Senior adult parks typically cater to residents aged 55 and over, often providing a peaceful and age-appropriate living environment. The same review also clarifies that Glenwood Village is distinct from Sunset Beach, which is located less than a mile south on the highway. This distinction is important for local users who might be familiar with the Sunset Beach area.
The positive review emphasizes the friendly nature of the residents, contributing to a welcoming and supportive community environment. This social aspect is often a key benefit of living in a close-knit manufactured home park, particularly for seniors who may value a sense of belonging and camaraderie.
Services and Features Tailored for Senior Adults
Given that Glenwood Village is a senior adult park, its services and features are likely tailored to meet the needs and preferences of this demographic. However, the provided reviews also explicitly mention the absence of certain amenities. One reviewer states, "There is no playground. No beach access No bathrooms and no store."
The absence of a playground is consistent with a senior adult community, as this amenity is typically designed for families with children. The lack of direct beach access might be a consideration for those specifically seeking immediate proximity to the ocean, although the park's location in Warrenton likely means that beaches are still within a reasonable driving distance. The absence of on-site public bathrooms and a store suggests that residents need to be self-sufficient for these needs, with shopping and public facilities available outside the park.
While the reviews do not explicitly list the positive services and features, typical offerings in senior manufactured home communities might include:
- Basic Utilities: Hookups for water, sewer, and electricity at each lot are standard.
- Road Maintenance: Ensuring the upkeep of roads within the community.
- Waste Management: Providing trash and recycling services.
- Community Areas: Some senior parks offer clubhouses or common areas for social gatherings, activities, and events tailored for residents. The positive review mentioning friendly people suggests the possibility of such a community atmosphere, even if a specific clubhouse isn't mentioned.
- Landscaping and Maintenance: Maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the park, as noted in the positive review describing it as "beautiful and clean."
To obtain a comprehensive list of services and features at Glenwood Village, local users should contact the management directly at (503) 861-1862 or +1 503-861-1862. Inquiring about amenities specifically geared towards seniors would also be beneficial.
The Unique Appeal of Living Near Nature
The positive review highlights a significant feature of Glenwood Village: its proximity to land where cows and elk reside. This offers a unique opportunity for residents to enjoy the presence of wildlife and the tranquility of a more rural setting, while still being part of a community and having access to the amenities of Warrenton and the surrounding coastal area. This connection to nature can be a significant draw for seniors seeking a peaceful and scenic living environment.
The reviewer's statement that "Considering how many areas have gone down hill in Clatsop County, Glenwood Village is an oasis" speaks volumes about the perceived quality and stability of the community. This suggests that Glenwood Village is a well-regarded and desirable place to live within the local context.
No Explicit Promotional Information
The provided information does not include any specific promotional offers or incentives for new residents at Glenwood Village. It is possible that as a well-regarded senior adult park, they maintain a steady occupancy without the need for active promotions in the limited information available. Local users interested in any potential special rates or incentives should contact the management directly.
Given the positive feedback from a long-term resident, the value proposition of Glenwood Village appears to be rooted in its environment, community, and status as a well-maintained senior adult park, rather than explicit promotional offers.
Key Considerations for Local Senior Adults Seeking a Manufactured Home Community
For local senior adults in the Warrenton, Oregon area, who may be exploring housing options beyond traditional RV parks and are considering a manufactured home community, Glenwood Village presents itself as a specifically designated senior adult park with positive attributes. The reviews highlight a beautiful and clean environment, a friendly community atmosphere, and the unique experience of living near local wildlife.
However, it is important for prospective residents to note that Glenwood Village does not offer certain amenities like a playground (consistent with a senior park), direct beach access (though the coast is nearby), on-site public bathrooms, or a store. Therefore, residents should be prepared to handle these needs independently outside the park.
Local senior adults interested in Glenwood Village should contact the management to inquire about lot availability, residency requirements (including age restrictions), monthly fees or lot rents, and a comprehensive list of services and features tailored for seniors. Visiting the community in person would be highly beneficial to experience the environment, the sense of community, and the overall suitability of Glenwood Village as a long-term housing option on the Oregon Coast. The positive feedback from a long-term resident suggests a stable and desirable living environment for senior adults in the Warrenton area.

FYI This is a senior adult park. There is no playground. No beach access No bathrooms and no store. Some people have been confusing this place with Sunset Beach. Sunset Beach is less then a mile south on the highway from here.
Apr 03, 2024 · Teresa ZuritaI have lived in Glenwood Village for many years now and I love it. The people are friendly and the park is beautiful and clean. Living near land where there are cows and elk is fantastic. Considering how many areas have gone down hill in Clatsop County, Glenwood Village is an oasis.
Sep 23, 2021 · Patrick MartinI've lived in, and around this wonderful place, and since the remodels, it a nice peaceful place to live! And to the other one who commented about tenants trying to jump into a 55 mph traffic! Yes, they need to either change the speed limit to 35 MPhil, or put a light in! It would be nice if drivers were more caring, and would slow down a bit...I used to live next door in the big white house as a kid, and my mother was rear-ended while turning in to our driveway! I got my knee hurt, but it could have been worse! I wish he would have been more careful! Or at least considered that a child may be in the car. I was 9 years old!
Jul 24, 2016 · Cheryl PalmroseClean and quiet 55+ mobile home park. Quant park with multiple ponds and wildlife, current trailers are older and out dated but the park as a whole has an old school vintage style and feel.
Oct 16, 2019 · Troy HeinGood place to live . Nice and quiet nice friendly neighbors.
