Kentwood Mobile Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Tampa, Florida area, you might come across information about communities like Kentwood Mobile Home Community, located at 4821 Williams Rd, Tampa, FL 33610, USA. While primarily a mobile home park, such communities can sometimes accommodate long-term RV stays. However, it is crucial to consider all available information, including recent resident feedback, to make an informed decision.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the experience of living at Kentwood Mobile Home Community appears to have shifted over time. One long-term resident who lived there for five years initially had a positive view, suggesting a 4-star rating for the first three years. This indicates that the community may have once been a well-regarded and pleasant place to reside, potentially offering a "beautiful quiet park in a perfectly located area." This positive initial sentiment suggests that the location itself might be advantageous, offering proximity to the amenities and attractions of Tampa.
However, the more recent experiences shared in the reviews paint a concerning picture. The same long-term resident expresses significant dissatisfaction with the current corporate ownership, identified as "Our Homes of America." The primary complaints revolve around rising rent costs coupled with a lack of essential repairs and basic maintenance. This suggests a potential decline in the quality of living conditions and management responsiveness. The reviewer states that the park is becoming "run down" and experiencing an increased number of vacancies, attributing this to the management practices of the current ownership.
The review further details a frustrating process for residents attempting to address maintenance issues. According to the feedback, direct management staff reportedly take complaints and repair requests, informing residents that they are on a list awaiting corporate approval. However, the reviewer shares a personal experience of waiting over seven months for repairs, with repeated assurances of impending service that ultimately did not materialize. This lack of follow-through and the apparent difficulty in obtaining necessary maintenance could be a significant drawback for potential residents, including those in RVs seeking a long-term stay.
Adding to the concern, the reviewer claims that "Our Homes of America has bought every mobile home park in our general area and all parks are being run the same way." If this is accurate, it suggests a broader pattern of management practices that prospective residents in the vicinity should be aware of. The strong recommendation to "keep looking if you are considering moving here because you will not be happy at Kentwood Mobile Home park" serves as a significant warning based on recent experiences.
In contrast to the negative feedback regarding current management, another long-term resident who lived at Kentwood for approximately eight years expressed a more positive overall experience. This reviewer noted that they "like it very much," highlighting the niceness of the community and the sense of mutual care among residents ("Nobody causes problems and we all look out for each other"). This suggests that despite potential management issues, a sense of community and neighborly support may still exist within Kentwood Mobile Home Community. However, this positive review does mention that "the water and sewage bill is a little much," which could be a factor to consider regarding the affordability of living in the park.
Considering the mixed nature of these reviews, it is essential for anyone considering Kentwood Mobile Home Community for long-term RV living to weigh the potential benefits of the location and community against the reported issues with management and maintenance. The fact that one long-term resident had a positive experience while another expresses strong dissatisfaction, particularly with the recent changes in ownership, indicates a period of transition and potential decline in living conditions.
Promotional information is absent from the provided text. To ascertain whether Kentwood Mobile Home Community currently accommodates RVs for long-term stays, what the lot availability and pricing structures are for RV spaces, and if there are any specific terms or conditions for RV residents, direct contact with the management is necessary. Given the concerns raised in the reviews, it would be prudent to inquire specifically about the current management practices, the process for requesting and receiving maintenance, and any planned improvements or changes to the community. Visiting the property to assess the current conditions firsthand and potentially speaking with current residents (if possible) would also be a valuable step in the due diligence process.
In conclusion, Kentwood Mobile Home Community in Tampa, FL, presents a complex picture for those searching for "RV parks near me." While it may offer a convenient location and a sense of community that some residents have appreciated, recent feedback raises significant concerns about the current management, rising rent, and a lack of necessary maintenance. Prospective RV residents should carefully consider these factors and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the management and a visit to the property, before making any decisions. The contrasting experiences shared by residents highlight the importance of obtaining the most up-to-date information to determine if Kentwood Mobile Home Community aligns with your needs and expectations for long-term RV living in the Tampa area.

Kentwood Mobile Home Community Reviews
I've lived here 5 years. The first 3 years I would have given it 4 stars, however now in the last 2 years the new corporate owners are AWFUL!! The company Our Homes of America continues to raise rent and refuses to do any repairs or basic maintenance. It used to be a beautiful quiet park in a perfectly located area. Now it's run down and more vacancies than tenants due to the slum Lord behavior and ownership of these properties. Our Homes of America has bought every mobile home park in our general area and all parks are being run the same way. The direct management staff takes your complaints and requests and " claims" your on a list for approval by corporate for your repairs, but that's all they can do til approval from corporate. I've been waiting over 7 months for repairs, only to be told each week some one is coming, and each week no one shows up. I advise you keep looking if you are considering moving here because you will not be happy at Kentwood Mobile Home park. You'll pay too much $ for a Mobile home that is left to fall apart with you in it!! #ourhomesofamerica, #KentwoodMHPLLC
Jul 16, 2024 · shana thompsonI lived here for about 8 years and I for one like it very much. The water and sewage bill is a little much but the community is nice. Nobody causes problems and we all look out for each other. Say hello to Robert.
Jul 15, 2022 · Steven AllenWhat I like is the family type of feeling there. It's a quiet place with oak trees. It's a place to live and relax after work.
May 20, 2023 · Kathleen BristolBeen here for 15 years and for the area it's in. I'd say it is most likely the quietest park here!
