Lafayette RV Community Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lafayette, Oregon area? Lafayette RV Community, located at 775 3rd St, Lafayette, OR 97127, USA, offers a smaller RV park option. They can be contacted at (503) 583-1896 or via mobile at +1 503-583-1896 for inquiries about availability and rates.
When looking for "RV parks near me," factors such as the environment, available services, community feel, and overall value are important considerations. Lafayette RV Community has received feedback from recent visitors that provides insights into these aspects, highlighting both its positive attributes and potential areas for improvement.
One reviewer describes Lafayette RV Community as a "real nice peaceful park," which could be a significant draw for those seeking a quiet and tranquil camping experience. However, this same reviewer notes a limitation, wishing that the park had "more than one shower setup." This suggests that the number of shower facilities may be insufficient for the number of guests, potentially leading to wait times or inconvenience.
Another reviewer provides a more detailed account, starting with the positives. They mention that the park offers "reasonable prices for rent," which could be an attractive factor for budget-conscious travelers or those seeking longer-term stays. The presence of "on-site and nice" managers is also seen as a benefit, potentially providing a sense of security and readily available assistance.
Furthermore, this reviewer describes the community as "friendly," suggesting a welcoming and neighborly atmosphere within the park. This can enhance the overall camping experience, especially for those who appreciate social interaction with fellow travelers.
However, this same reviewer also points out several significant drawbacks. The bathrooms are described as "unheated and not exactly sanitary," which could be a major concern for guests, particularly during colder weather or for those who prioritize cleanliness in shared facilities.
The laundry room is also criticized for its inefficiency. The reviewer states that only "half a load of laundry" effectively cleans clothes, and it takes "twice in the dryer to dry them." This could lead to increased time and cost associated with doing laundry at the park.
Safety and maintenance concerns are also raised. The reviewer cautions about "potholes" within the park, suggesting potential issues with road maintenance and possible hazards for vehicles and pedestrians. Additionally, they mention the need to be careful of "falling branches and debris," indicating potential neglect in tree maintenance, which could pose safety risks to both property and individuals.
Perhaps the most concerning feedback from this reviewer relates to the overall philosophy and management style. According to the reviewer, the owner has stated that "this is not a place to get comfortable and call your home." The reviewer interprets this statement as the owner emphasizing that it is her property and residents are expected to adhere strictly to her rules. This suggests a potentially less welcoming or long-term-oriented environment, which might not appeal to those seeking a more settled or home-like RV living situation.
Based on these reviews, Lafayette RV Community presents a mixed bag for those searching for "RV parks near me" in Lafayette, Oregon. Potential benefits include:
- Peaceful Environment: One reviewer describes it as a "real nice peaceful park."
- Reasonable Rent: The pricing is mentioned as being reasonable, which could be attractive for budget-conscious travelers.
- On-Site Management: The presence of on-site and nice managers can provide a sense of security and assistance.
- Friendly Community: The community is described as friendly, potentially offering a welcoming atmosphere.
However, significant drawbacks and concerns include:
- Limited Shower Facilities: Only one shower setup may lead to inconvenience.
- Unsanitary and Unheated Bathrooms: The condition of the bathrooms is a major concern.
- Inefficient Laundry Facilities: The laundry room appears to be costly and time-consuming to use.
- Maintenance Issues: Potholes and potential falling branches suggest neglect in park upkeep and potential safety hazards.
- Discouragement of Long-Term Comfort: The owner's statement suggests a less welcoming attitude towards residents settling in.
For individuals considering Lafayette RV Community as a potential "RV park near me," it is crucial to weigh these factors carefully based on their personal needs and priorities. If a peaceful environment and reasonable rent are primary concerns, and the stay is short-term, some of the drawbacks might be less impactful. However, for longer stays or for those who prioritize clean and well-maintained facilities, the reported issues could be significant deterrents.
Prospective guests should consider taking the following steps:
- Contacting the management directly to inquire about the number of shower facilities and their condition.
- Asking about the current state of the bathrooms and any plans for improvements to their cleanliness or heating.
- Inquiring about the laundry facilities and the typical cost and time required for washing and drying clothes.
- Seeking information about road maintenance within the park and any measures taken to address potholes.
- Asking about tree maintenance and any precautions regarding falling branches.
- Clarifying the park's policies on long-term stays and the overall atmosphere encouraged by the management.
- If possible, visiting the park in person to assess the conditions and speak with current residents about their experiences.
As a platform providing information on "RV parks near me," it is our aim to present an objective overview based on the available feedback. The reviews for Lafayette RV Community highlight a peaceful environment and reasonable rent, but also point out significant concerns regarding the facilities, maintenance, and management's approach to long-term stays. Potential visitors should carefully consider these aspects and conduct thorough personal research to determine if this RV park meets their individual needs and expectations.

Lafayette RV Community Reviews
Not a bad smaller rv park wish they had more than one shower setup but it's a real nice peaceful park
Nov 05, 2024 · Sean NichollsThis place has reasonable prices for rent. Managers are on-site and nice. Community seems to be friendly. Bathrooms are unheated and not exactly sanitary. Laundry room you can only do a half a load of laundry to get your clothes clean and it takes twice in the dryer to dry them. You have to be careful of the potholes. Also caution on falling branches and debris. According to the owner this is not a place to get comfortable and call your home. By her statement it is her property and you will do what she says.
Dec 03, 2017 · Blue DolphinLived in this park and it was a rat hole. New owners have upgraded, cleaned out the trash and it has a new atmosphere, Maintence lives on the property and is qualified to handle day to day requests. . Restrooms are cleaned daily and no fear of clothes being stollen while your in the shower. The Manager is upbeat friendly and flexible if you follow park policy's and rules.
Oct 23, 2019 · shawnee Gage (Shawn)Lafayette RV park has not done anything wrong or broken any laws in regards to Mr. Tripp's lies in his review. The space was rented Friday right before closing at 6 pm. His application was not received until Monday morning long after the space was rented. “Right after she got off the phone with me she called another person, and gave the spot to them. “ That is a flat out lie. Someone that was approved earlier in the week that had previously declined the space called right before closing at 6 pm and stated they changed their mind. Mr. Tripp had not yet submitted his application at that time. “as long as my application was approved I would have a place to live. “ Also a lie. He was never promised anything. What he was actually told & misinterpreted was that there was a space available at the time I spoke to him. Period. Said space was never promised to him. All spaces are 1st come 1st served. No exceptions. Application fees are never refundable. That is standard industry wide. That fee gets paid directly to the screening company and the property has no control over it. Yes, I hung up on him when he started yelling at me. I refuse to stay on the phone with an unreasonable person yelling at me.
Aug 11, 2020 · Lafayette RV ParkThis rv park is under new management. Many positive changes have taken place. Addicts have been removed and manager surveys park for any illegal activity. New lights and cameras have been strategically placed. Many new nice folks have moved in. Many tenants care about their areas. Managers are responsive to tenant needs. Very friendly and hard working managers.
