Worst place to stay not because the area is bad or anything but because the management/owners are the worst to deal with. They lie to you initially to get you in, take your money for down payment and then treat you bad with disrespect like they own you. The owners don’t stay in TN as they live in FL themselves, they have a maintenance guy who oversees the property and works from 7-3, but they don’t want you to talk to him, they don’t want you to call them, they will block your number, they don’t have an office person, and they complain when you try to communicate with them. So basically you are just treated like slaves to pay money on time because they think of themselves as god. Everything have to work in their favor and according to them you have no tenant rights. Everything you say or do, will be used against you. If you do plan to move in with them sadly, make sure you get everything signed on the paper, they will never keep their word. If you want a reference from someone else besides me, you can talk to anyone at Truist bank in Johnson City where they have an account and listen to horrific tenant stories by the bankers. It’s trap! Stay away from them. - Tiffany Bigelow

MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village Introduce

MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village, located at 123 Reeser Rd in Johnson City, Tennessee, is a mobile home park that might appear as a potential long-term housing option for individuals and families searching under the category of "RV Parks Near Me." While not a traditional RV park for short-term recreational vehicle stays, mobile home parks like MeadowBrook offer managed lots with utility connections for manufactured homes, serving as a more permanent residential solution. However, the available customer reviews paint a concerning picture of the management and overall living experience at this particular community.

One review describes MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village as the "worst place to stay," not due to the location itself, but because of severe issues with the management and owners. The reviewer alleges that potential residents are initially misled to secure their down payment, after which they are treated with disrespect. A significant point of contention is the inaccessibility of the owners, who reportedly reside in Florida and do not answer phone calls. Communication is further hampered by the lack of an on-site office person and the owners allegedly blocking residents' phone numbers and complaining about attempts to communicate. The review suggests a complete breakdown in communication between residents and those in charge, fostering a sense of being treated poorly and without regard for tenant rights.

The first reviewer goes on to claim that residents are treated like "slaves to pay money on time" and that the owners act as if they are above any accountability. There is an assertion that everything is made to favor the owners, with a disregard for tenants' rights. The reviewer strongly advises potential residents to get everything in writing, as the management reportedly does not honor verbal agreements. For further corroboration, the reviewer suggests speaking with staff at Truist bank in Johnson City, where the owners purportedly have an account and where "horrific tenant stories" can be heard. The reviewer concludes by labeling MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village a "trap" and urging others to "stay away from them." This strongly negative account raises serious red flags for anyone considering residing in this community.

A second review, from someone who has lived in MeadowBrook for over a year, offers a slightly more nuanced perspective but still highlights significant issues with management. While acknowledging that it has been a "pretty decent place to live" in terms of the physical environment and low traffic, the reviewer strongly criticizes the management for being "picky as hell about everything." An example given is being required to pressure wash their trailer after only a year, despite not having done anything to cause it to be dirty. This illustrates a level of strictness and potentially unreasonable demands from the management, leading to frustration among residents. The reviewer explicitly states, "I hate the management," despite finding the location itself to be aesthetically pleasing and having low traffic.

Considering the environment of MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village, one reviewer mentions it being a "pretty place," suggesting that the physical surroundings might be visually appealing. The fact that there is "not much traffic" could also be seen as a positive aspect, contributing to a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere within the community. However, these potential environmental benefits are significantly overshadowed by the serious concerns raised about the management and their interactions with residents.

In terms of services, the first review mentions a maintenance person who oversees the property and works limited hours (7-3), but claims that residents are discouraged from contacting this individual directly. This lack of a clear and accessible channel for maintenance requests and other issues is a significant service deficiency. The alleged inaccessibility of the owners, the lack of an office person, and the blocking of phone numbers further indicate a severe lack of adequate management services for the residents. While basic utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity would likely be provided to each lot, the overall management structure appears to be dysfunctional and unresponsive to residents' needs and concerns.

The features of MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village would primarily include the individual mobile home lots available for rent. The physical attractiveness of the park ("pretty place") and the low traffic could be considered positive features of the location itself. However, these are significantly negated by the negative management practices described in the reviews. Potential features that are typically desirable in a mobile home park, such as a responsive on-site office, clear communication channels, and fair enforcement of rules, appear to be lacking at MeadowBrook, according to the resident feedback.

Promotional information is entirely absent from the provided data. Given the strongly negative first-hand account of the management and the frustrating experience described in the second review, it is highly unlikely that MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village would be actively promoting itself in a positive light without addressing these significant issues. The lack of transparency and the alleged mistreatment of residents would likely deter any potential positive promotion.

For individuals searching under "RV Parks Near Me" who might be considering MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village for a longer-term stay in a manufactured home, the overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding the management and their treatment of residents should be a major deterrent. The alleged deceptive practices, inaccessibility of owners, lack of communication, disregard for tenant rights, and overly strict and seemingly arbitrary rules paint a picture of a community where residents may face significant stress and dissatisfaction. The potential for a physically "pretty" environment and low traffic is unlikely to outweigh the severe management problems described.

Prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and thoroughly investigate these claims before even considering MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village as a place to live. Attempting to contact current residents independently (beyond these two reviews) and seeking information from external sources, such as the mentioned Truist bank, would be prudent steps. It is essential to have a clear understanding of the management's practices and the overall living environment before committing to residency in this community.

In conclusion, while MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village in Johnson City, TN, may offer a visually appealing location with low traffic, the available reviews from residents paint a deeply concerning picture of the management. Allegations of deceptive practices, disrespectful treatment, poor communication, disregard for tenant rights, and overly strict rules are serious red flags. For those searching for long-term housing under "RV Parks Near Me," MeadowBrook Mobile Home Village, based on this feedback, appears to be a community to approach with extreme caution and only after thorough and independent investigation. The negative management experiences seem to significantly outweigh any potential benefits of the location itself.
