Montrose River Meadows Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Although our platform primarily focuses on connecting users with "RV parks near me," we recognize that individuals seeking residential options in the Montrose, Colorado area may also be interested in manufactured home communities for long-term living. In this context, we would like to introduce you to Montrose River Meadows Manufactured Home Community, located at 62880 Lasalle Rd, Montrose, CO 81401, USA. For inquiries about residency and availability, you can contact them at (970) 249-8266 or via mobile phone at +1 970-249-8266.
When considering a long-term living arrangement, it's essential to gather information from various sources to form a comprehensive understanding. We have reviewed some recent feedback from individuals who have had experiences with Montrose River Meadows Manufactured Home Community to provide you with an objective overview. Please be aware that these reviews reflect personal experiences and may not be representative of the views of all residents.
One reviewer, who was there in a professional capacity to repair a furnace for a resident, did not offer any insights into the community itself, stating they "did not stay to see the sights." This review provides no information about the environment, services, or features of the mobile home park.
Another reviewer described River Meadows as having "always been a nice trailer park" that is "very well maintained" and a "nice place to live." However, this reviewer also noted that there are "too many rules" for their personal preference, although they acknowledged that these rules likely contribute to the well-maintained environment and work well for those who do not mind them. This suggests that while the community may be aesthetically pleasing and orderly, potential residents should be prepared for a structured living environment with potentially numerous regulations.
A more detailed and concerning review comes from a long-term resident of over ten years who invested significant effort and resources into landscaping their yard, including planting new grass, flowers, and trees, and installing new fences. This resident recounted a negative experience with the community's maintenance crew. Despite the management stating in a monthly letter that the maintenance crew would handle yard maintenance, the resident paid the crew $35 to spray their lawn for weeds, which resulted in the death of 75% of their lawn, likely due to an excessive or improperly mixed application of herbicide. The strong smell upon returning home corroborated this.
When the resident brought this issue to the management, requesting straw for mulch to help rectify the situation, the manager reportedly stated that the park would not provide straw and was not responsible for the damage. The maintenance crew's subsequent attempts to rectify the damage were described as inadequate and ineffective, involving throwing lawn seeds on top of the dead grass, which predictably did not grow. Further efforts by the resident to repair the lawn were allegedly interfered with by management, who instructed them not to touch it. The management then proceeded with their own landscaping efforts, which the resident described as poorly executed, resulting in thin, patchy, and uneven grass growth due to improper soil preparation and the use of wood mulch. The resident also mentioned being told that the front lawn needed to look nice for upper management inspections, implying a prioritization of appearances over proper horticultural practices and resident satisfaction.
The resident expressed significant frustration and disappointment, as their "once beautiful lawn" was left in terrible condition due to the way the situation was handled. They highlighted the financial burden and physical labor involved in attempting to repair the damage, especially as a 59-year-old veteran. The review concludes with the resident questioning what the owners and upper management would think of how the situation was handled and noting that the management indicated the front lawn's appearance was crucial for inspections. The resident also mentioned having photographic evidence of their lawn before and after the incident.
This detailed negative review raises significant concerns about the management's responsiveness to resident issues, the competence of the maintenance crew, and the overall support provided to residents who invest in improving their property. The apparent disconnect between the management's stated responsibility for yard maintenance and their subsequent denial of responsibility for the damage caused by their crew is particularly troubling. The prioritization of superficial appearances for inspections over addressing the root cause of the problem and supporting the resident's efforts to rectify the damage also paints a concerning picture.
Considering these reviews, Montrose River Meadows Manufactured Home Community appears to be a well-maintained community with a structured environment that may appeal to those who appreciate rules and order. However, the detailed negative review raises serious questions about the management's handling of maintenance issues and their support for residents' property investments. Potential residents should weigh these contrasting perspectives carefully.
The provided reviews offer limited information about the specific environment and amenities of the community beyond the mention of yard maintenance and rules. Typically, manufactured home communities offer individual lots for residents to place their homes and provide essential utility hookups. Depending on the community, there may also be additional amenities such as community centers, laundry facilities, recreational areas, and on-site management. However, these specific features are not detailed in the available reviews for Montrose River Meadows.
Similarly, there is no information about promotional offers or special rates for residency at Montrose River Meadows in the provided text. Individuals interested in learning more about lot availability, rental or purchase options (if applicable), lease terms, and any current incentives should contact the community directly using the provided phone numbers.
In conclusion, while our platform focuses on "RV parks near me," Montrose River Meadows Manufactured Home Community offers a long-term residential option in Montrose, Colorado, described by one reviewer as well-maintained with a structured environment. However, a detailed account from a long-term resident raises significant concerns about the management's handling of maintenance issues and their support for residents' property. Prospective residents are strongly advised to contact the community directly to inquire about their current policies, services, fees, and management practices, and to seek further information from current residents to gain a comprehensive understanding before making a decision about long-term living in this community.

Montrose River Meadows Manufactured Home Community Reviews
I have a customer who lives in the River Meadows Trailer Park. I repaired her furnace. Did not stay to see the sights.River Meadows has always been a nice trailer park. It is very well maintained and is a nice place to live. Too many rules for me but it does work well for those who don't mind it.
Oct 23, 2024 · Dudley Deardorfflived here for 10 plus years put a lot of work in our yard ( planted new grass, flowers and trees then put in new fences our neighbors can verify that ) management in monthly letter said the maintenance crew will do yard maintenance in tenants yards. we paid maintenance crew to spray our lawn for weeds for $35 and they killed 75% of the lawn they sprayed, it was to much spray or too strong of a mix, that it smelled very strong when I came home from work that day. When I brought it up to management I asked if they could get us some straw for mulch manager said park was not buying us straw and they were not responsible. Maintenance crew threw lawn seeds on top of poisoned dead grass thinking new grass would start growing of course two weeks later it did not. We dug up sod and bagged it up and threw it away. After we did all the hard work, they put lawn seed down, then mulch bark, then more seeds on top of that... The birds just loved it. Management told us not to touch our lawn. New lawn had some thin growth areas and patches of no growth due to wood mulch and improper soil prep they did not add more soil so new lawn would be same height as rest of lawn and not be sunken in it looked terrible it was growing thin and in patches and uneven because they did not let us finish what we started, so my wife replanted last Wednesday, and put straw on it. that was only the front lawn management said they were not sodding rest of lawn (about 75% still needs to be seeded properly or new sod). Our once beautiful lawn looks terrible thanks to how it was handled leaving us to pay the high price fixing the damage plus the labor involved (I am a 59 year old veteran it is not easy to dig up sod with a shovel) I wonder what the Owners and Upper management would think of how this was handled. manager did say that the front lawn had to look nice because that is what upper management will see during inspections and that she (manager) would get in trouble. we have pics of our lawn before all this mess and of course after...Jim
Aug 01, 2021 · jtvvHave lived here going on 6 years. Clean, quiet and family friendly. Lots of green areas to walk pets. Close to river with walking path. Could use more visitor parking, but that is about it.
Jul 18, 2022 · Margaret SeddellIt’s a nice community but the manager here is very disrespectful, when we try to talk to her she bursts out on us. We have talked to others in the park and we aren’t the only ones who she has lashed out on. She refuses to give us numbers and paperwork.
Oct 25, 2022 · Kevin NunezRiver Meadows is beautiful and its location is pleasurable. The trees are older and so provide a lot of shade as well as beauty. If you intend to live here, you should be aware of the strict, intrusive and extreme policing of the site manager. I am friends with several of the occupants and everyone agrees that it is unreasonable and serious enough to have caused many people to relocate. Very unfortunate. It really is one of the most attractive parks in Montrose.
