Mountaineer Mobile Home Park Introduce
Welcome to Mountaineer Mobile Home Park, located on Mountaineer Dr, Williamstown, WV 26187, USA. If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Williamstown area, this mobile home park presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While one long-term resident describes a positive experience, another offers a strong warning against renting here. As an objective introduction for potential local users considering this park for RV living, it is essential to present both perspectives to allow for informed decision-making.
One reviewer, who states they have lived at Mountaineer Mobile Home Park for approximately five years, offers a generally positive assessment. They highlight the park owners' willingness to work with residents on matters such as lot rent and warnings. This suggests a degree of flexibility and communication from the management, which can be a positive aspect for long-term residents, including those who might be considering placing an RV in the park for an extended period. Furthermore, this reviewer describes the park as "quiet and peaceful" and states that they have "never had any issues living here that have to do with the park itself." This indicates that, for some residents, Mountaineer Mobile Home Park offers a tranquil and stable living environment.
However, a second review presents a starkly contrasting experience, strongly advising potential renters to "DO NOT RENT HERE!" This reviewer characterizes the park owners as "the rudest people we have ever dealt with!" Their negative experience stems from purchasing a trailer within the park and the subsequent interaction with the owners regarding its movement. Despite the new owners' intention to move the trailer anyway, they allege that the park owners were "VERY rude" and made the process a "complete nightmare," even involving the police on two separate occasions. This paints a picture of difficult and confrontational management, which could be a significant deterrent for prospective residents, including RV owners.
Adding to these concerns, the negative reviewer also mentions a history of "unsavory activity" at the park, based on their childhood experience living nearby. While this is anecdotal and lacks specific details, it contributes to an overall negative impression of the park's safety and environment in the eyes of this reviewer. This historical perspective, combined with the recent negative interaction with the management, leads to a strong recommendation to "steer clear" of Mountaineer Mobile Home Park and "find somewhere better."
Considering the category "RV parks near me," these conflicting reviews raise significant questions for potential RV residents. While the positive review suggests a quiet and peaceful environment with potentially accommodating owners, the negative review highlights serious concerns about the rudeness and uncooperativeness of the management, as well as potential safety issues. For those seeking a long-term RV parking situation, the stability and management style of the park are crucial factors.
In terms of the environment, the positive review describes it as "quiet and peaceful," which could be appealing to those seeking a tranquil living space for their RV. However, the negative review's mention of "unsavory activity" suggests a potentially less desirable environment in terms of safety and community well-being. Without further information or objective assessments, it is difficult to definitively characterize the environment of Mountaineer Mobile Home Park. Potential RV residents would need to weigh these conflicting perspectives carefully.
Regarding services and features, the provided information is limited. Mobile home parks typically offer basic utility hookups such as water, electricity, and sewage. For RV owners considering Mountaineer Mobile Home Park, it is essential to verify if these standard utilities are available and compatible with RV systems. Inquire about the amperage of the electrical service, water pressure, and the presence and accessibility of a dump station for RV waste. The positive review's mention of working with owners on lot rent implies that there are established financial arrangements, but specific details are lacking.
Features of living in Mountaineer Mobile Home Park are also not detailed in the provided reviews, beyond the quiet atmosphere mentioned by one resident and the alleged rudeness of the owners and potential safety concerns raised by the other. For RV owners, factors such as the size and layout of available lots, the condition of the grounds, and any additional amenities (laundry facilities, recreational areas, etc.) would be important considerations that are not addressed in the current information.
When evaluating Mountaineer Mobile Home Park as one of the "RV parks near me," potential residents should carefully consider the following points based on the available reviews:
- Potential for a Quiet Environment: One reviewer found the park to be quiet and peaceful.
- Potentially Accommodating Owners (per one review): The owners were described as willing to work with residents on lot rent and warnings.
However, the following significant concerns must also be taken into account:
- Allegedly Rude and Uncooperative Owners: One reviewer had a very negative experience with the owners during a trailer transfer.
- Claims of "Unsavory Activity": A historical perspective suggests potential safety issues within the park.
- Nightmare Move-Out Experience: The process of moving a trailer was described as extremely difficult, involving the police.
No promotional information is provided for Mountaineer Mobile Home Park. Given the serious allegations in one of the reviews regarding the management's behavior and potential safety concerns, any potential resident, especially those with RVs, should exercise extreme caution. A thorough on-site inspection, if possible, and direct communication with the park management to address the issues raised in the negative review would be crucial before considering residency. It might also be beneficial to speak with current residents, if feasible, to gain a broader understanding of the living conditions and management style at Mountaineer Mobile Home Park.
In conclusion, Mountaineer Mobile Home Park, located on Mountaineer Dr, Williamstown, WV, presents a complex and potentially risky option for those searching for "RV parks near me." The stark contrast between a positive long-term resident experience and a highly negative recent experience, including allegations of rude management and past "unsavory activity," necessitates careful consideration and thorough investigation by any prospective RV resident. The lack of specific information about RV amenities and the serious concerns raised in one of the reviews underscore the importance of proceeding with caution and seeking further information before making any decisions about long-term residency at this mobile home park. Contacting the park at (304) 615-2771 or +1 304-615-2771 to directly address these concerns and inquire about RV accommodations is strongly recommended.

Mountaineer Mobile Home Park Reviews
I've lived here for about 5 years now. The owners work with you on things like lot rent and warnings. It's quiet and peaceful. I've never had any issues living here that have to do with the park itsself.
Mar 27, 2025 · Brittany LyonsDO NOT RENT HERE! The park owners are the rudest people we have ever dealt with! We recently purchased a trailer from this park and the park owners wanted it moved and were VERY rude to us about it when we notified them of the owner transfer despite the fact that we intended to move it anyways. They made moving our trailer a complete nightmare. The police were involved twice. I also happened to have lived just up the road from this park as a child and can tell you that it's not a good place to live based on how much unsavory activity has happened there over the years. I suggest you steer clear and find somewhere better.
Aug 08, 2023 · JessicaThis is a nice older trailer park. I lived here a short time when I was in high school. Now my uncle and his wife live there and everybody seems just as friendly today as they were 20 years ago. Some of the trailers are a little bit older but everything is kept pretty clean.
Mar 24, 2019 · Defender FabricationNo matter what condition your in-door living area is in, the out-door scenery makes every home improvement job worth while. So dont complain about broken air conditioning or a leaky roof. Just remove the wall, use that material for more roof, that way you'll be paying half of the home's total cost.
