My Place at Woodmont Introduce
For local users searching for housing options under the category "RV parks near me," it's important to explore various residential communities, including mobile home parks. My Place at Woodmont, located at 21395 Inkster Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48336, USA, is one such community in the Farmington Hills area. While our platform primarily focuses on RV parks catering to temporary stays, understanding the landscape of local residential options can be valuable for individuals seeking longer-term housing solutions or those interested in the broader housing market.
My Place at Woodmont is a mobile home park offering a residential setting in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Mobile home parks typically provide land for residents to place their manufactured homes, along with essential infrastructure and community amenities. These communities often appeal to individuals and families looking for a more স্থায়ী living arrangement than what is typically offered by RV parks. However, it is crucial to objectively assess the environment, services, and features of My Place at Woodmont, particularly in light of recent customer feedback, which presents contrasting experiences.
Understanding the Environment: One customer review describes the location as "usually pretty quiet (besides the road)," suggesting a generally peaceful environment with the potential for some noise due to its proximity to a road. The park is also noted as "pet friendly," which can be a significant positive for pet owners. Another reviewer, however, details negative conditions upon move-in, including finding "dead roaches on the floor" and the place reeking of "cat urine," indicating that the initial cleanliness and maintenance of individual units might vary. The park is described as looking "more run down than it actually is," suggesting that while the appearance might not be pristine, the underlying functionality might be adequate. The location is also highlighted as being "close to the hospital and to a lot of restaurants," offering convenience in terms of access to essential services and dining options.
Services and Features: Information regarding the specific services and features offered at My Place at Woodmont presents a mixed picture based on the customer reviews. One positive aspect mentioned is that there are "no roach or rodents" (with the exception of ants, discussed separately). The landscaping is noted to be well-maintained by someone named Sebastian ("Sebastian does a nice job keeping up on the landscaping"). However, a significant negative experience is shared by another reviewer concerning the property owner and management. This review alleges that the owner is difficult to work with, uses the lease aggressively, is unresponsive to tenant needs (even in emergencies like lack of heat in winter), and engages in questionable financial practices related to security deposits and fees. The reviewer also mentions frequent furnace issues, indicating potential problems with the maintenance of provided appliances within the units.
Based on these contrasting reviews, potential services and features at My Place at Woodmont likely include:
- Land for placing manufactured homes.
- Essential utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity).
- Pet-friendly policies.
- Landscaping maintenance.
- Potentially, management services, although the quality of these services is a point of significant contention in the reviews.
The negative review suggests potential deficiencies in areas such as timely and effective maintenance (especially for heating and pest control beyond ants), transparent and fair lease administration, and responsive communication from the property owner.
Customer Feedback and Concerns: The customer reviews provide starkly different perspectives on living at My Place at Woodmont:
- Negative Experience: One reviewer recounts a highly negative experience with the property owner, citing issues with a lengthy and allegedly exploitative lease, unresponsiveness to critical maintenance needs (no heat in winter), aggressive collection of fees, and unfair practices regarding the security deposit upon move-out. The condition of the unit upon move-in is also described as poor, with dead roaches and cat urine odor. Frequent furnace breakdowns are also mentioned. This reviewer strongly advises against renting at My Place at Woodmont and recommends thoroughly reading the lease and seeking feedback from current tenants.
- More Positive Experience: The other reviewer describes the park as "a place" that is "usually pretty quiet" and "pet friendly." They note the absence of roaches and rodents but mention an ongoing issue with ants. They also comment that the park looks more run down than it is and highlight its convenient location near a hospital and restaurants. This reviewer rates the park an 8/10 and mentions that "Management has been pretty helpful."
This significant divergence in experiences suggests that individual circumstances and interactions with management might vary greatly. It underscores the importance of conducting thorough due diligence before considering My Place at Woodmont as a place to live.
Implications for RV Users: For users searching within the "RV parks near me" category, the information available about My Place at Woodmont indicates that it is primarily a mobile home park focused on long-term residential living. While the park is described as "pet friendly" and located near amenities, the contrasting reviews regarding management and unit conditions, particularly the negative account of a difficult landlord and potential maintenance issues, suggest that it might not be a suitable or desirable option for short-term RV stays. RV travelers typically seek parks with specific amenities catering to their needs, such as dedicated RV sites with hookups, dump stations, and recreational facilities, which are not mentioned in the context of My Place at Woodmont. Therefore, it is recommended that RV users focus on traditional RV parks in the Farmington Hills area.
Contacting My Place at Woodmont: Given the conflicting reviews, individuals considering long-term mobile home living at My Place at Woodmont should contact the park directly at (248) 957-0008 or +1 248-957-0008 to inquire about current availability, lease terms, specific amenities, and management policies. It would be prudent to ask detailed questions based on the concerns raised in the negative review and to seek clarification on maintenance procedures, lease agreements, and security deposit policies. Visiting the park and, if possible, speaking with current residents (beyond those who have left online reviews) could also provide a more balanced perspective.
Promotional Information: The provided information does not include any promotional details for My Place at Woodmont. Potential residents should inquire directly with the management about any current special offers or incentives that might be available.
In Conclusion: My Place at Woodmont is a mobile home park in Farmington Hills, Michigan, offering long-term residential living. Customer reviews present a mixed picture, with one highlighting significant negative experiences related to the property owner, lease terms, maintenance, and unit conditions, while another describes a generally quiet, pet-friendly community with helpful management and a convenient location, albeit with an ant problem and a somewhat run-down appearance. For those considering this park for mobile home living, thorough due diligence, including direct contact with management and, if possible, current residents, is strongly recommended to reconcile these contrasting perspectives. For users in the "RV parks near me" category, My Place at Woodmont is unlikely to be a suitable option for temporary stays due to its focus on long-term mobile home residency and the concerns raised in one of the reviews.

My Place at Woodmont Reviews
I have never had a worse rental experience. The owner of the property uses his lease (53 pages by the way) as a weapon to wring every possible dollar out of you. He never answers for his tenants, even if it is the dead of winter and you have no heat. He allowed me to move in after paying a partial security deposit and then proceeded to charge me $80 a month until all of the fees rent and security deposit in full. Almost evicted me twice because of the balance on the security deposit and fees. I lived there a year. When I gave my move out notice he kept asking when I would be out, had me show my place to a prospective tenant before I had even started moving, and then told me that because I moved out I forfeited my security deposit. I’m a single mother and I work very hard for my money. I moved out before the end of the month and cleaned the place too to bottom, when I moved in I found dead roaches on the floor and the place wreaked of cat urine. My furnace went out multiple times while living there too.So happy I never have to live there ever again. I urge you to read the lease thoroughly and understand this guy is not going to work with you unless it benefits him. Ask the other tenants if they’re happy here before considering this as a place to lay your head. Good luck! May the odds be ever in your favor.
Feb 29, 2024 · Samantha BrownIt's a place. Usually pretty quiet (besides the road) Pet friendly. No roach or rodents but there are ANTS. It's been an uphill battle with the ants. Happy to report they are losing. Not sure if this is a my trailer issue or not. It looks more run down than it actually is. Close to the hospital and to a lot of restaurants. Management has been pretty helpful and Sebastian does a nice job keeping up on the landscaping. 8/10
