Oak Crest Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Austin, Texas area, it is crucial to understand that Oak Crest, located at 7601 Daffan Ln, Austin, TX 78724, USA, is a mobile home park intended for long-term residential occupancy rather than short-term RV stays. As such, the environment, services, and features are tailored towards individuals and families seeking longer-term housing solutions. However, it is imperative to present an objective introduction based on the available online reviews, which paint a concerning picture for potential residents.
Multiple reviews from individuals claiming to have lived at Oak Crest paint a troubling scenario characterized by significant disturbances and a perceived lack of effective management. One reviewer explicitly advises potential residents to "Be careful if you plan to buy or rent to live in this neighborhood," immediately setting a tone of caution. This warning is substantiated by a detailed account of pervasive noise issues that severely impact the quality of life within the park.
According to this reviewer, residents can expect to experience a lack of peaceful sleep due to "cars speeding at super-high speeds" and "music blasting late at night and early in the morning." The problem is reportedly exacerbated by "twin-turbo cars speeding super-fast" and a disregard for traffic laws, including running stoplights on a street with a very low 10 mph speed limit. The reviewer further notes the lack of respect for speed limits and even speed bumps, indicating a potentially chaotic and unsafe traffic environment within the park.
Beyond the disruptive traffic noise, the reviewer also mentions "late-night parties with loud music," further contributing to the inability of residents to sleep peacefully. These accounts suggest a significant issue with noise pollution within Oak Crest, potentially stemming from both vehicular activity and social gatherings, which could make it a challenging place for those seeking a quiet residential environment.
Compounding the problem of noise and unsafe behavior is the reported ineffectiveness of the office management in addressing these concerns. The reviewer states that "the office does not resolve the problems, they make any excuse." This lack of responsiveness from management can be a major source of frustration for residents dealing with ongoing disturbances. The reviewer also alleges negative reactions from office staff, specifically naming "Kiara and Tanisha," who reportedly "get angry" if residents raise complaints or mention maintenance issues. Such behavior from management can create a hostile environment and deter residents from reporting problems or seeking necessary assistance.
Another, even more alarming review describes Oak Crest as a "Horrible place to live here," with the individual stating they "had to move out due to shootouts gate being broken from the back and a whole bunch of stuff that was getting vandalized outside." This account raises serious safety concerns, suggesting a potentially volatile environment with criminal activity occurring within the park. The specific mention of "shootouts" and vandalism indicates a significant breakdown in security and a lack of safety for residents and their property.
This reviewer further contrasts the management's alleged inaction on serious safety issues with their swift response to minor infractions, stating, "My house management is sure quickly to react whenever you have your car an inch over the grass, but they do not apply secure Rules and it’s just a horrible place to stay at everybody’s house shooting guns not safe for kids too much drama going around leasing does nothing but try to give you a fees and penalty charges, but they don’t even fix the property around themselves or do nothing to fight crime around here." This paints a picture of misprioritized management that focuses on generating fees rather than ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents and the upkeep of the property.
The reviewer's personal experience of having their "car got broken into twice" further underscores the alleged lack of security within Oak Crest. The overall sentiment is one of extreme dissatisfaction and a sense of being unsafe, leading to the decision to move out of the park. The statement "too much violence" is a grave indictment of the living conditions reported by this former resident.
Based on these stark and concerning reviews, potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might inadvertently consider Oak Crest for longer-term mobile home residency should be extremely cautious. The reported environment is far from peaceful, with significant issues related to noise, unsafe driving, late-night disturbances, and even violent crime. The feedback regarding management responsiveness and priorities is also overwhelmingly negative, suggesting a lack of support for residents dealing with these problems.
Given the severity of the issues raised, including alleged shootouts and frequent vandalism, it would be irresponsible to present Oak Crest as a desirable residential option based solely on this publicly available feedback. The reviews do not offer any positive aspects regarding the environment, services, or features of the park that could outweigh these serious concerns. There is no mention of amenities, community features, or positive management interactions.
Therefore, for local users in Austin seeking a safe and peaceful residential environment, the available information strongly suggests that Oak Crest Mobile Home Park may not be a suitable choice. The reported lack of security, pervasive noise issues, and allegations of unresponsive and even hostile management paint a picture of a challenging and potentially unsafe living situation.
Without any positive reviews or official information to counter these serious allegations, it is impossible to provide a balanced introduction to Oak Crest Mobile Home Park. Potential residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough independent investigations, and seek alternative housing options within the Austin area that offer a safer and more peaceful living environment. Contacting the park directly at (512) 272-5858 or +1 512-272-5858 might provide the management's perspective, but the overwhelming negative feedback from multiple reviewers warrants significant skepticism.
In conclusion, based on the available online reviews, Oak Crest Mobile Home Park in Austin, TX, appears to be a residential environment plagued by significant issues including excessive noise, unsafe behavior, alleged criminal activity, and unresponsive management. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering long-term residency here should be extremely cautious and are advised to seek alternative housing options that prioritize safety, peace, and effective management.

Apr 11, 2025 · Cesar JFiling a complaint for car damage while visiting this neighborhood. It was late at night I was driving no more than 5pmh and there’s a huge man hole in the middle of the road which caused damage to my undercarriage.( I drive a 2021 ford, repairs aren’t cheap) I call to file a complaint to get it fixed and resolve the issue she basically made it seem as it’s my fault and to go around, the pothole is literally in the middle of the road to turn and there was oncoming car so no way to avoid! There are no warning signs or cones to block it off! What is crazy is a friend of mine has the same ongoing issue hitting the same hole . Calling city of Austin and corporate now, no reason you should have a huge DENT in the middle of your neighborhood. Will be adding pictures soon
Oct 07, 2024 · Kicere HarrisonIve been living here for a few years and never really been the person to complain but the few times that i have called the employees sound upset about what say, we all have jobs and i know sometimes we don’t want to deal with people but that’s apart of the job. The parks lately have been clean but i always have to be checking the ground because theres been dog poop in the past. The gym here at the community is very convenient for me to go as a mom since it saves me time to drive to another gym and to save gas but its always dirty, ive been going for a few months and ive called twice to see if it could get clean due to how dirty it is but it looks like it never gets clean not even the two times Ive called to complain
Feb 01, 2024 · Liz LopezNot sure of something will be changing but from March on not only will there be a fee to pay rent in person the website also charges a fee to pay rent. Theres also loose dogs all the time and some run up to you and your kids (some kids are scared of dogs) if always scared my kids could get bitten not only that but I don’t own any pets and Ive had to clean dog poop from my front yard so that my kids don’t step on it. I wish they would’ve put some sort of light at the soccer field for the kids that stay to play until 7 or so and the floor at the gym is very dirty, and trash is also always full
