I'm tossed between 2 and 3 stars. As far as the living in this park, it is very quiet, pretty secure, rent is fair in today's economy and I feel safe walking my dog and kitties around here. It is quite a maze though. I got lost when I first got here and took my old dog for a walk. Now the bad.My boss has been here 23 years. He pays his rent always although during his greiving and because he is losing his memory he has been a little late a couple of times so I am stepping and to help him with that. He has some cars that he came with 23 years ago parked in his front yard, but are non operation right now and have been for a few years. I have my car and truck here as well. We have both discussed putting them down in the storage area but taking into consideration the fact that his motorhome is down there and have had the window busted out in the front grill taken off, we are not so comfortable with doing that.Came outside yesterday as I was getting ready to leave somewhere and found the maintenance guy in my boss's yard taking pictures of the vehicles and their license plates. No notice no warning did not give us 24-hour notice before entering the property and did not get our permission to take pictures. That is invasion of privacy. He said the owner has been trying to contact my boss. It seems to me if you really want to get in touch with somebody and you can't get them on the phone because he doesn't answer his house phone because there's so many telemarketers that call, then I would think the owner would send a message along with the late rent fee charge letter that never seems to miss a beat in getting to his mailbox. Also, there are other tenants in this park that I have spoken to that have issues with their property which is supposed to be maintained by the maintenance guy. Nobody answers the phone, nobody returns calls, nobody even picks up the registered mail. But once again they sure are quick to get out those late fees they're right on top of that.I tried to discuss these issues with the groundskeeper while he was walking around taking pictures of our vehicles and he said well who are you anyway you're not registered with us. California state law through the caregivers rights and responsibilities states that no HOA or mobile home park is to expect and caregiver to register and be accepted. We work for our rent we don't have to be credit checked. Our clients have the right to choose who they want to care for them so that they can stay in their home. The illegally entered this property and do whatever they want without any kind of notice. Apparently they don't have enough maintenance crews around here to be able to respond to the tenants needs and don't let your cats out at night they trap them and Lord only knows where they go.It's really sad to think that one person can act so kind to your face and complain behind your back too. Nobody has ever said anything to my boss about the cars and seriously, only the three other houses in this court can see them. I know who the complaint came from and I am highly disappointed in her. - Lynda Lee Alverson

Oaks senior Community Introduce

If you are searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on senior living in the Oroville, California area, or if you are considering Oaks Senior Community, located at 110 Oak Grove Pkwy, Oroville, CA 95966, USA, for mobile home living, it is crucial to carefully consider the feedback shared by individuals who have had experiences with this community. While some aspects of the park are viewed positively, significant concerns have been raised regarding management practices and communication.

One reviewer offered a mixed perspective, acknowledging some positive aspects of living within Oaks Senior Community. They noted that the park is "very quiet" and feels "pretty secure." The rent was described as "fair in today's economy," and the reviewer expressed feeling "safe walking my dog and kitties around here." This suggests that the environment within the park itself may offer a degree of peace and security that could be appealing to seniors. The reviewer also mentioned the park being "quite a maze," indicating a potentially large or winding layout, which might be a consideration for those with mobility issues or those who value easy navigation.

However, the positive aspects were overshadowed by significant negative experiences and observations, primarily concerning the park's management and communication. The reviewer detailed an incident involving the maintenance staff entering their boss's yard without notice or permission to take pictures of vehicles. This was perceived as an "invasion of privacy" and raises concerns about respect for residents' personal space and property. The reviewer also pointed out a lack of proactive communication from the owner regarding concerns about the vehicles, suggesting a preference for indirect methods over direct engagement with residents.

A recurring theme in the reviews is the difficulty in contacting and receiving responses from the park management and maintenance. The reviewer stated that "Nobody answers the phone, nobody returns calls, nobody even picks up the registered mail." This lack of responsiveness is contrasted with the efficiency in issuing late fee charges, indicating a potential imbalance in management priorities. This breakdown in communication is a serious concern for residents who may require assistance with maintenance issues or have other important inquiries.

The reviewer also recounted an interaction with the groundskeeper who allegedly dismissed their concerns by stating they were not "registered" with the park, referencing California state law regarding caregivers' rights. This suggests a potential misunderstanding or disregard for the rights of caregivers residing with residents, which could be a significant issue for seniors who rely on such support.

Further concerns were raised about property maintenance within the park. The reviewer mentioned that other tenants have issues with property that is "supposed to be maintained by the maintenance guy" but are facing the same lack of response. Additionally, a warning was issued about letting cats out at night, with the claim that they are trapped by the park staff, and their whereabouts are unknown. This could be distressing for pet owners within the community.

Other reviewers corroborated the significant issues with communication and management. One individual stated, "Can't get any one to return your calls. Called multiple times over the past 3 weeks." This persistent lack of response to phone inquiries suggests a systemic problem with the park's communication infrastructure or management practices.

Another reviewer who attempted to contact the park on behalf of their grandmother, who was interested in buying a home there, had a similar experience. They noted that the phone number listed on Google connects to an answering service that supposedly relays messages to the park manager, but no calls were returned. They also found the park office consistently closed with no staff present, and the contact number on the office door led back to the same unresponsive answering service. This led the reviewer to conclude that the park management is "unprofessional" and unresponsive to potential residents, raising serious concerns about the level of support current residents might receive.

The potential consequences of this lack of communication and unresponsive management are significant, particularly for a senior community where residents may have more frequent needs for assistance or have emergencies. The reviewer who was trying to help their grandmother stated, "Imagine if she was a resident and had a problem or an emergency; she wouldn't have park management to help her." This highlights a critical safety and well-being concern for prospective residents of Oaks Senior Community.

Given these consistent negative reports regarding management and communication, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" with senior living options or those considering mobile home living at Oaks Senior Community should proceed with extreme caution. It is imperative to attempt direct contact with the management and, if possible, speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the living conditions and management responsiveness. Any decision to reside in this community should be made with a clear understanding of the potential challenges highlighted in these reviews.

While the park may offer a quiet and secure environment with fair rent, these potential benefits are significantly undermined by the serious concerns raised about the unprofessional and unresponsive management, lack of communication, and issues with property maintenance. Without any positive promotional information to balance these negative accounts, prospective residents should prioritize thorough investigation and direct communication to assess whether Oaks Senior Community can meet their needs and expectations for a comfortable and supported living experience.

In conclusion, the publicly available reviews for Oaks Senior Community in Oroville, CA, paint a concerning picture of park management and communication. While the park may offer a quiet and seemingly secure environment with reasonable rent, the persistent issues of unanswered calls, a closed office, lack of response to maintenance requests, alleged privacy violations, and potential disregard for caregiver rights are significant red flags. Anyone considering this community for senior mobile home living or as a potential long-term option when searching for "RV parks near me" should conduct extensive due diligence and seek direct confirmation from the management regarding these serious allegations before making any commitments.
