When considering a long-term living situation, gathering insights beyond basic contact details is essential. Online reviews from current or former residents can offer valuable perspectives on the day-to-day realities of living in a particular community. The publicly available feedback for Oakside Mobile Home Park Inc highlights several areas that prospective residents should carefully evaluate.
One recurring concern in the reviews pertains to the management and their priorities. Multiple reviewers express dissatisfaction with the management's responsiveness to maintenance issues, specifically mentioning the inability or unwillingness to repair potholes within the park's infrastructure. This is contrasted with the assertion that lot rent for owned trailers is raised, suggesting a potential imbalance in the perceived value provided to residents versus the costs incurred.
Furthermore, the reviews indicate challenges in communication with the management office. Residents report that the office is frequently empty when attempts are made to contact them, and that messages left may not receive a response. This lack of accessibility to management could be a significant concern for residents needing to address issues or seek assistance.
A significant point raised by a long-term resident who owns their home within the park concerns changes implemented by new ownership. Initially, the transition to new owners was reportedly positive. However, the reviewer describes subsequent enforcement of new rules that have negatively impacted residents. These rules allegedly include the removal of previously permitted items such as picnic tables and children's play structures, even if they were present before the new ownership took over. This suggests a potential lack of consideration for established living arrangements and could lead to disputes or dissatisfaction among homeowners within the park.
The same long-term resident also mentions new expectations regarding vehicles registered to the trailer park, implying that certain vehicles may be deemed unacceptable and require removal. This could pose an inconvenience or financial burden on residents whose vehicles do not meet these unspecified standards.
The issue of inconsistent management is also highlighted, with the reviewer stating that a new park manager seems to be appointed every four to five months. This frequent turnover in leadership could contribute to inconsistent rule enforcement, a lack of continuity in addressing resident concerns, and a sense of instability within the community.
Perhaps the most serious concern raised in the reviews is the alleged presence of child predators residing within the park, despite this being supposedly against park rules. This is a significant safety and security issue that would understandably cause considerable alarm for residents, particularly those with children. The fact that such individuals are reportedly living in the park despite regulations suggests a potential failure in enforcing community safety protocols.
Considering these publicly available reviews, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home living options in the Midland area should approach Oakside Mobile Home Park Inc with significant caution. The feedback indicates potential problems with park maintenance, management responsiveness and communication, the imposition of potentially disruptive new rules, and serious concerns regarding community safety.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence before considering Oakside Mobile Home Park Inc. This should include attempting to contact the management directly to inquire about their policies on maintenance, rule enforcement, communication, and resident safety. If possible, visiting the park in person to observe the conditions of the infrastructure, the overall environment, and the accessibility of the management office would be highly beneficial. Speaking with current residents, if feasible, could also provide additional insights into the lived experience within the community.
Given the nature of the concerns raised in the reviews, particularly regarding safety and management practices, it would be prudent for potential residents to explore alternative "RV parks near me" and mobile home parks in the Midland area to ensure they find a living environment that meets their needs for comfort, convenience, and security. Comparing multiple options will allow for a more informed decision and potentially help avoid the issues reported by current and former residents of Oakside Mobile Home Park Inc.
In conclusion, while Oakside Mobile Home Park Inc offers a location in Midland, MI, publicly available reviews present a concerning picture regarding management practices, maintenance, rule changes, and community safety. Prospective residents are urged to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough personal investigation before considering this as their long-term living option.

Oakside Mobile Home Park Inc Reviews
They just want your money. Can’t fix a single pothole in here but you bet they’ll raise the lot rent for an OWNED trailer. Management is ass, office is always empty when you need to talk but don’t worry. They’ll inconvenience you any chance they get for basically any reason you can think of
Apr 30, 2025 · Tristan DonnellyLive here since before the new owner took over I own my home not rent. And at first when the new owners took over everything was good now there coming after us for the dumb things you can think of. Have a picnic table its got to go have a kids play swing and slide got to go can't have large structures in the yard even if they were there before you moved in in the case of my neighbor. Now his kids who are around 4 don't get there personal play set. Cars that are registered to the trailer park that don't meet there so called expectations have to go. And you can't even get ahold of anyone the office because there only there three days a week and won't call back if leave a message. Not to mention who is the manager of the park it seems every 4 -5 month there is a new one that come in and makes up new rules for us to follow. Not to mention the child preditors that aren't supposed to live in here and do.
Nov 19, 2024 · JakeAlthough I have friends that live there and I enjoy visiting, there were no lights on at the entrance other Park. I drove by it three times. As always the roads are way too crowded and cramped and leave very little room for driving. The speed bumps are ridiculous but I know they're necessary. The lighting definitely needs to be fixed.
Jul 13, 2024 · Jodi OlmstedNot much good to say about the cost of living here, especially weighed against what little management or maintenance there is to be had here. Members of management and maintenance come and go routinely. Lot rent is continuously raised on residents who can't afford anywhere better to go. There is no practical area for public use, as the "park" is just a strip of lawn with decaying playground equipment rotting away. For a trailer park that grosses over $50,000 a month in lot rent alone, this is sad. Lot rent continues to rise without any return on investment for residents. Management seems to neglect the park and residents' needs. In this economy, you'd be silly to live here in any circumstance. Heavily do not recommend. Moved in here less than a year ago and already actively moving out.
Nov 02, 2024 · Tyler LauretteJust wondering if the rules have changed since the new owners have taken over? My new neighbors in March dug a whole in the ground on their lot and had a big campfire! I called and told Vanessa about the fire and was told she would take care of it and there were no wood fires allowed. But you were allowed to have a small gas like porch fireplace and I never knew that. But still no wood fires so last week and last night the same neighbors had a BIG wood fire in their big kettle grill?? The flames were at least 6ft tall!! I don't get it?
