Outdoor Resorts RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to a detailed introduction of Outdoor Resorts RV Resort, a distinctive destination for RV enthusiasts and vacationers located at 3665 Sandpiper Rd #195, Virginia Beach, VA 23456, USA. As part of the 'RV Parks Near Me' platform category, this overview aims to provide local users with comprehensive information about this unique resort, highlighting its environment, services, features, and some crucial considerations based on real customer feedback.
Outdoor Resorts RV Resort boasts an exceptional environment, primarily defined by its direct waterfront location on Sandbridge Beach. This places it in a prime position for those seeking a coastal experience, offering immediate access to the beach and water activities. Sandbridge Beach itself is known for being a more tranquil and less crowded alternative to the bustling central Virginia Beach boardwalk, providing a serene backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment of nature. The address, 3665 Sandpiper Rd, suggests a location that is likely to be exposed to the elements typical of a beachfront property, including sand, sea air, and the potential for tidal influences. The presence of water access directly from some sites is a significant draw, appealing to those who enjoy fishing, kayaking, or simply waking up to ocean views. The sound of waves and sea breezes would be prominent features of the auditory and sensory environment.
The services and amenities offered at Outdoor Resorts RV Resort, based on customer reviews, appear to go beyond typical RV park offerings, suggesting a focus on comfort and convenience, at least for some units. One highly positive review highlights that their "place was right on the water," and was found to be "clean, spacious and very comfortable," with "very comfortable beds." This suggests that some units available for rent (likely privately owned RVs or park models within the resort) are well-appointed and maintained by their hosts. The mention of "small things that most places don't leave for you like salt, pepper, sugar, cleaning supplies, toilet paper and paper towels" indicates a thoughtful approach to guest amenities, aiming to enhance the self-catering experience. The proactive communication from the host ("messaged us throughout our stay to make sure things were good") points to a personalized level of service, which is a significant advantage for guests looking for a hassle-free stay. This level of service differentiates it from a basic RV spot, positioning it more as a vacation rental within an RV resort setting, appealing to a broader audience beyond just RV owners looking for a hook-up.
However, another review presents a more mixed perspective, revealing important considerations for potential visitors. A significant concern raised is the issue of "terrible flooding," which neighbors reportedly confirmed happens often. This reviewer's car "sat in 6-8 inches of water for 4 out of the 7 days because we had nowhere else to park it," forcing them to wait until inside the car to put on shoes. This highlights a crucial environmental and practical challenge, especially for those bringing vehicles. Such frequent flooding, if accurate, would significantly impact the overall experience, particularly during periods of heavy rain or high tides. For users of 'RV Parks Near Me' who prioritize convenience and vehicle safety, this is a vital piece of information.
Furthermore, the second review points out issues with internal unit features and available recreational equipment. The air conditioning in their unit "didn’t really keep up," with inside temperatures reaching "about 85," leading them to "refrain from cooking inside because it made it way too hot." This suggests potential maintenance issues with some units' climate control systems, impacting comfort, especially during warmer months. The availability of recreational items like "bikes on the property" was appreciated, but they were "too rusted and in poor condition- totally unusable." While "kayaks on the property" were a nice touch, one had a "broken back support." These details indicate that while amenities are provided, their condition may vary, and guests should manage expectations regarding usability. The presence of "staining on the white sheets" also points to inconsistencies in cleaning standards in some accommodations.
The core feature of Outdoor Resorts RV Resort is its direct access to Sandbridge Beach, making it an ideal location for beach lovers. For RV owners, the resort likely offers full hook-up sites (water, sewer, electric) along with potentially concrete pads or gravel lots, typical of a resort-style park. The presence of individually owned lots and privately rented units, as implied by the "host" communication, suggests a community feel rather than a transient campground. The provision of amenities like kayaks and bikes, even if their condition varies, indicates an effort to enhance the recreational experience, appealing to those who enjoy active outdoor pursuits. The reported spaciousness and comfort of at least one unit also stand out as a positive feature, suggesting that well-maintained rentals can offer a premium experience. However, the recurring flooding and potential issues with unit maintenance (AC, cleanliness, equipment condition) are significant factors that define the practical features of the resort and must be considered by prospective visitors. The mention of "Sandbridge beach" being a great location, even if they "will likely stay somewhere else," strongly emphasizes the appeal of the area itself, regardless of the specific accommodation.
For promotional information on a 'RV Parks Near Me' platform, Outdoor Resorts RV Resort can be marketed as a unique beachfront RV destination offering direct water access and a range of vacation rental options. Key selling points would include:
- Unbeatable Waterfront Location: Ideal for beach lovers, water sports enthusiasts, and those seeking serene ocean views.
- Comfortable Accommodations: Many units are well-furnished and equipped with thoughtful amenities for a home-away-from-home experience.
- Proactive Host Communication: For privately managed rentals, hosts provide personalized support.
- Recreational Opportunities: On-site access to kayaks and potentially bikes (though condition may vary) for exploring the local environment.
- Tranquil Sandbridge Beach: A less crowded alternative to the main Virginia Beach area, perfect for relaxation.
However, it is crucial to also inform potential visitors about the reported challenges to ensure transparency and manage expectations. Prospective guests should be advised to:
- Inquire about Flood Risk: Especially if visiting during seasons prone to heavy rain or high tides, ask about specific site elevation and parking options to mitigate potential vehicle flooding.
- Verify Unit Condition: If renting a specific unit, inquire about the condition of the air conditioning, cleanliness of linens, and usability of any provided recreational equipment (bikes, kayaks). Consider asking for recent photos or confirmation of maintenance.
- Confirm Inclusions: While some units provide basic supplies, it's always wise to confirm exactly what is included in the rental (e.g., cleaning supplies, toiletries) to avoid surprises.
Contacting Outdoor Resorts RV Resort directly at (757) 721-2020 or +1 757-721-2020 would be essential for inquiries about site availability, specific unit rentals, resort-wide amenities, and current conditions. Given the mixed reviews, thorough due diligence is highly recommended for anyone planning a stay. While the location on Sandbridge Beach is undoubtedly a significant asset, understanding the practical realities of the resort's facilities and potential challenges is key to ensuring a satisfying vacation experience.

Outdoor Resorts RV Resort Reviews
Our place was right on the water. The place was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. They had a lot of the small things that most places don't leave for you like salt, pepper, sugar, cleaning supples toilet paper and paper towels. We we're very impressed. Our host messaged us throughout our stay to make sure things were good. Thank you Arlene.
Apr 20, 2025 · Wendy GReally wanted to like this place and for the most part it was ok. We were not warned that there would be terrible flooding, of which our neighbors told us happens often. My car sat in 6-8 inches of water for 4 out of the 7 days because we had nowhere else to park it. We had to wait to put our shoes on until we were in the car.The air conditioning didn’t really keep up - most of the time the inside temp was about 85- we refrained from cooking inside because it made it way too hot. There were bikes on the property that we were excited to use but they were too rusted and in poor conduction- totally unusable. It was nice to have kayaks on the property although one had a broken back support.Overall the unit was decorated nicely although the white sheets had staining on them. The location is great we will definitely come back to Sandbridge beach, but will likely stay somewhere else.
Jul 19, 2024 · Misti LeeVery nice experience staying in a tiny home in a beautiful location. RV park was clean and very well maintained. Our accommodations were clean and inviting. I would definitely return for another visit.
Sep 01, 2024 · Troy AllenLocation was right across the street from public beach access and on the cove north of Little Island park and Back Bay wildlife refuge. Lots are very close with little privacy but neighborhood was very friendly, quiet and good for families.
Aug 26, 2024 · Jessie KamererThough we have stayed at this resort previously, they delayed crediting us for a recent cancellation, long past what was appropriate, even though we had given more than a month's notification of our need to cancel our reservation. They must be having cash-flow issues!
