The environment of North Landing Beach RV Resort & Cottages is a significant highlight, consistently lauded by visitors. It is a "beautiful, clean, well organized waterfront RV park," providing stunning views, particularly of the "amazing" sunsets. The resort's location offers a perfect balance: it is "a short drive away from downtown Virginia Beach," allowing easy access to urban attractions, yet "far enough away from the hubbub for a peaceful vacation." This strategic positioning ensures guests can enjoy both the tranquility of a natural escape and the vibrancy of a popular coastal city.
The waterfront aspect is a key feature, offering direct access to water activities and scenic vistas. The park itself is described as "well maintained," indicating meticulous care for the grounds and facilities. This attention to detail creates an inviting and pleasant atmosphere for all guests. The spaciousness of the RV sites contributes to a comfortable and uncrowded feeling, further enhancing the peaceful ambiance of the resort.
North Landing Beach RV Resort & Cottages goes beyond basic RV park offerings, providing a rich array of services and features that cater to diverse needs and preferences:
- Spacious and Well-Maintained RV Sites: The RV sites are described as "roomy and well maintained," ensuring ample space for parking and setup, and comfortable outdoor living. While specific hookup details (e.g., 30/50 amp, water, sewer) are standard for an RV resort, the emphasis on roominess and maintenance speaks to the quality of the individual sites.
- Cottages/Tiny Houses for Rent: A significant feature is the availability of "lots of new tiny houses/cottages for rent." This provides excellent alternative lodging options for non-RVing family members, friends, or those who prefer a more traditional accommodation while still enjoying the resort's amenities and atmosphere. This broadens its appeal beyond just RV owners.
- Exceptional Staff Hospitality: A recurring theme in reviews is the "friendly and so helpful" staff. They are described as "very welcoming and helpful," demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction. One notable example of their dedication is their tireless work "to clear the park as well as defrosting our frozen water hook-up" during an unusual 12-inch snowstorm, showcasing their readiness to go above and beyond for guest comfort and safety, even in challenging conditions.
- Clean and Accessible Bathhouses: The resort boasts "very clean bathhouses with handicap accessible showers." This attention to cleanliness and accessibility is a critical factor for many campers, ensuring a comfortable and inclusive experience.
- On-Site Dining Options: For guests who "Don't want to cook when you camp? No problem!" The resort offers convenient food services, including "delicious breakfast on the weekends" and "a pizza and ice cream shop on site." These options provide easy and enjoyable dining experiences, reducing the need to leave the park for meals.
- Extensive Weekend Activities: North Landing Beach RV Resort & Cottages ensures there's always something to do, even in the "non-peak season." They offer "Weekend activities including breakfasts, dinners, dances, and bingo." This robust activity schedule fosters a vibrant community atmosphere and provides entertainment for all ages, enhancing the overall vacation experience.
- Recreational Facilities: While not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, a resort of this caliber typically includes a swimming pool, playground for children, and potentially other recreational areas like sports courts or communal gathering spaces. Given the waterfront location, fishing and water-based activities are also likely popular.
The overwhelmingly positive customer reviews serve as the most compelling promotional content for North Landing Beach RV Resort & Cottages, positioning it as an "absolute favorite camping spot." Mar 26, 2025 · Meredith PriceBeautiful, clean, well organized waterfront RV park a short drive away from downtown Virginia Beach, but far enough away from the hubbub for a peaceful vacation. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. RV sites were roomy and well maintained. Bathhouses were very clean with handicap accessible showers. Lots of new tiny houses/cottages for rent as well. Weekend activities including breakfasts, dinners, dances, and bingo even in the non-peak season. We arrived a few days before an unusual 12" snowstorm. Staff worked tirelessly to clear the park as well as defrosting our frozen water hook-up.Highly recommend this RV park. This will be our campground for our next stay in the area.
Feb 22, 2025 · Gretchen GWe stay at the NLB RV Resort when we visit our son and daughter in law who are a Navy family and live nearby. On the last visit, we stayed in a studio cabin and we loved it. It is perfect for a couple. The cabin and all of the facilities are impeccably clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We use the fitness room for a morning workout when we stay there.
Feb 28, 2025 · Dennis EdwardsThis place is great, gated so no one can just roll in and drive around, very clean , beautiful beach with amazing sunsets, amenities and staff are just the best. We are local residents and when we need a little vacation we take the 45 min trip and feel like we are HOURS away from real lifeHighly recommendWill be backHalloween is also pretty special (book early)Locals and travelers definitely need to try this place !
Aug 15, 2024 · Devin LandisHuge campground with so many fun activities for everyone! There was a billiard room, basketball court, pickleball court, dog parks, batting cage, mini-golf, table shuffleboard, gym, and even two bouncy houses! They have free equipment to use in the office. There were also great areas to fish for bass and sunfish. There are also HUGE schools of minnow along the beach near the cabins as well as some big blue crabs. The beach is a beautiful place to watch a sunset (look at the photos) and there were also bike and kayak rentals. Both are 15$ an hour and 60$ a day. There is also an ice cream/pizza shop (we never got a chance to try the food). The office has many camping accessories and food for a reasonable price. There are also unique activities going on every day, like pool aerobics, or Greek food buffet in the Pavilion. The bath houses were clean, spacious, modern, and air conditioned. The only thing I can remotely complain about is the WiFi was questionable at best, and there were way too many mosquitoes. I love this campground, hope I can come back soon! 👍
