While mobile home parks primarily cater to manufactured homes, some do provide accommodations and necessary utilities for RVs seeking a more permanent location. Exploring the possibilities at Port of Call could be beneficial for those looking for an extended stay within a community setting.
Port Huron, situated along the beautiful St. Clair River and near Lake Huron, offers a unique blend of maritime history and natural beauty. Its location provides residents with access to waterfront activities, parks, and local amenities. For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" that offer a quieter setting while still being within reach of urban conveniences, Port Huron and communities like Port of Call may present attractive options.
The online reviews for Port of Call present a mixed perspective, which is important for potential residents to consider. One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction with the maintenance of their mobile home. They describe serious, unaddressed issues such as a hole in the bathroom floor and a collapsing closet roof (allegedly damaged by maintenance workers), as well as a dangerous hole in their son's bedroom floor. The reviewer explicitly states they would "definitely not recommend" the property due to these unresolved maintenance problems.
Conversely, another reviewer describes Port of Call as a "nice quiet place" that offers a welcome respite from the sounds of town. They also highlight the spaciousness of the property and the friendliness of the people. A significant positive aspect mentioned is the opportunity for residents to have gardens, which can be a valuable feature for those seeking a more personal and engaging living environment.
Given these contrasting experiences, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" should approach Port of Call with a balanced perspective and conduct their own thorough investigation. The negative review regarding maintenance is a serious concern that needs to be addressed with the management, especially for RV owners who may also require timely maintenance for their vehicles or the park's utilities.
To obtain accurate and current information about Port of Call and its suitability for RV living, it is crucial to contact the management directly at (810) 388-9240 or +1 810-388-9240. When you call, be sure to ask specific questions relevant to your needs as an RV resident, including:
- Does Port of Call currently accommodate recreational vehicles for long-term stays?
- Are there designated spaces or lots available for RVs, and what are their sizes?
- What are the specific utility hookups available at the RV sites (e.g., water, sewer, electricity – including amperage)?
- What are the monthly or long-term rental rates for RV spaces, and what is included in the price?
- What amenities are available for residents, such as laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, or recreational areas?
- What are the rules and regulations of the community that would apply to RV residents?
- What is the process for reporting and addressing maintenance issues for RV sites and park utilities?
- Can you provide information about the general environment and the sense of community within Port of Call?
- Are there any specific features or benefits that Port of Call offers to long-term residents, such as the opportunity for gardening mentioned in one of the reviews?
It is important to directly address the concerns raised in the negative review about maintenance with the management. Ask about their current maintenance procedures, staffing levels, and average response times for repair requests. Understanding their approach to maintenance will be crucial in determining if this community can provide a comfortable and hassle-free living experience for your RV.
The positive review highlighting the quiet environment, spaciousness, and friendly residents suggests that Port of Call may offer a pleasant community atmosphere. The opportunity for gardening is also a notable feature that could appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors and cultivating their own space. However, these positive aspects must be weighed against the serious maintenance issues reported by another resident.
When searching for "RV parks near me," considering both the positive and negative aspects presented in online reviews is essential. However, these reviews should serve as a starting point for your own investigation, not the definitive basis for your decision. Direct communication with the management of Port of Call will provide you with the most current and accurate information, allowing you to assess whether this mobile home park can meet your needs and expectations for long-term RV living in the Port Huron area.
In conclusion, Port of Call, located in Port Huron, Michigan, is a mobile home park that may offer long-term RV accommodations. While one review praises its quiet environment, spaciousness, and friendly residents (including the opportunity for gardening), another review expresses significant concerns about unaddressed maintenance issues. Therefore, it is crucial to contact the management directly at (810) 388-9240 or +1 810-388-9240 to inquire specifically about RV accommodations, amenities, costs, and their approach to maintenance. This direct engagement will enable you to make an informed decision about whether Port of Call is a suitable option for your "RV park near me" search in Port Huron.

Port of Call Reviews
I wouldn't even know where to start with this place, I had a hole in my bathroom floor, which I told the manager multiple times about and my roof was falling through in my closet, due to them putting their foot through when fixing the roof, which I also told the manager multiple times, also hole in my son's bedroom which was very dangerous and they never fixed it so I would definitely not recommend it
Jun 01, 2024 · Erica WalkerNice quiet place I don't half to hear the sounds from town witch is nice very big and open people are nice and me and our son can finally have a garden.
Apr 28, 2024 · Ashley PincombWas a very good place to live. But not no more at all. Will have more updates later. Yes I looked at other reviews and the others are right about the kids that recently moved in or have lived there for a while making it bad for the actual good kids that lived there for a while or moved in not long ago. But there is a ton more situations then just that making it bad to live there. I am currently making my list. Everyone else should too. So if something ever comes up then you will have everything jotted down for your personal records. Thank You for reading. The outside of the mobile/manufactured park may look ok but unless you walk in one or all you won't believe on how dangerous they really are. Most do not have screens on them. Even in minnesota lake. It gets very very hot in the trailers because you can't open your windows unless you want bugs or spiders invading your trailer.
Sep 21, 2023 · Catchemall EBConsistently broken or run down homes that they refuse to repair, drug dealers won't get kicked out as they're caught doing deals, but they keep kicking people out if they try to get management to repair their property. Don't live here unless you really have nowhere else to go. Only a matter of time before it's so run down that they sell it off to someone else to clean up their mess.
